Love love love Jampro! My daughter has been a student for almost 8 years now. She has taken voice,…read moreguitar, bass and piano lessons here, but has found her passions to be vocals and bass. She has been a part of several amazing bands through Jampro, playing both at their awesome on-site stage and at festivals and businesses here in town. The improvement in her musical talents has been a beautiful and impressive journey that continues to leave me in awe. All of the teachers have been excellent and top caliber musicians themselves. Jampro often served as a safe space for my daughter during some difficult times through the years. They treated her like family and I will forever be grateful. The facility is top notch and every thing you'd expect from a high end studio and more. They even have courses to learn audio production and DJ. I invite anyone to take a tour as you will be wowed by all they offer. The programs are not cheap, but I've found them to be worth every penny and a truly worthy investment in my daughter.

Would you believe in the same 10,000 sq ft. facility there's a full scale production studio complete with top of the line computers, mixing and sound boards, and an isolation room to record vocals? Would you believe that in that same 10,000 sq. ft. facility there's a 500 person capacity theater with a performance stage decked out with state-of-the-art lights, smoke, and sound that's used to host special events and provide student bands with the real deal experience of playing before a live audience? What about if I told you they also had a full scale production lab where you can learn how to produce music and even learn how to DJ on the best digital turntables available? And last but not least, would you believe me if I told you they also have a music retail store with everything you could possibly want or need, including exclusive brands of effects pedals and other equipment? Welcome to Jampro Music Factory. This is seriously a place like no other, with no detail spared, and a passion for providing the best music education experience you can imagine. Close your eyes and picture the quintessential Hollywood recording studio, complete with wood floors, beautifully decorated walls, and big open windows to see what's going on, and that's what you'll find at Jampro. To me it seems like the new businesses that have opened in the last year have really done a lot to elevate the standards of our community. From bars and restaurants, to our local farmers and artisans, and everything in between. It seems like each week I learn about one more business adding to this momentum, and this past week, it was Jampro Music Factory. Thanks to Robert and Ly S., their Yelp photos, check-ins, and reviews, I now know what it's all about and I can't wait to return!

I've always been a string guy and am a complete newbie to brass instruments of any kind…read more On a hunch, I signed up for Western Nevada College's Introduction to Alphorn class, and Lindsey & Brandi helped coach me through getting basic sounds, finding a mouthpiece that works well for me, and hooking me up with a practice horn to use with the class. They are deeply knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and just plain nice people! Highly recommended.

I didn't think that it would be possible to recommend Lindsey and Brandi J. more highly, but here…read moregoes. . . Our son had outgrown the Conn 6D that we bought from them in 2018. He's now playing Principal in the San Jose Youth Symphony and needs something more than the student/chamber model that has served him well these past 4 years. We planned a visit during ski week to see what Silver and Brass might have in stock, and were almost overwhelmed by the supply of instruments to try. I think he actually played about a dozen mid-to-pro instruments, including two Conn 8Ds, Holton 179 and 281, Alexander, Knopf instruments and a Yamaha. All were in shiny like-new condition, and frankly priced to compete with eBay, at a quality that most online sales can't touch. We ended up selecting a truly one-of-a-kind instrument though, a custom, built by Lindsey around a DRGM 8242 Tandem change valves. The lead pipe and bell flare are from a Conn 8D, though the main valve group is from a smaller bore (.480") instrument. It is the most amazingly smooth-playing horn we've ever encountered, based in the original double-horn design that was abandoned in the early-20th century because the original manufacturer couldn't get it right. Simply put, Lindsey got it. The only thing comparable today is the Paxman Merewether. The basic idea is that the usual Bb to F change valve is split into two (3 tubes each), corresponding to the 3 main valves), so that the sides are separated until they come together at the valves. The benefit is that the airstream always goes through the main valves in the same direction. That is, with all other horns, the airstream from the Bb and F sides go through in opposite directions. The result is less turbulence, and a *much* more responsive instrument. It's worth mentioning too that even this description just begins to scratch the surface of what this shop is capable of. They have almost 100 French horns in stock in various states of repair and refurbishment. They can literally build anything you'd want. We benefited hugely from their encyclopedic knowledge of each instrument we tried, and are proud to have made some new friends in the process. Silver and Brass Music is a truly unique treasure. http://silverandbrassmusic.com/index.html
