This Crazy Shirts store in Ala Moana Center used to be on the 2nd floor but moved up to the 3rd. They have really cool designs and artwork in funky dyed colors. Some dyes used are volcanic rock, blue hawaiian, beer, coffee, grape & pineapple to name a few. The advantage of that is if you get any of those foods on you, the stain won't show! Most of their shirts are heavy weight cotton and will last a lifetime, so the premium price (avg $44-$50) is worth it.

We didn't really care for the designs and colors of our t-shirts and decided to see if we could exchange them. There are many locations of Crazy Shirts on the Island of O'ahu. There are several stores in Waikiki... And there are shops at Pearlridge Mall, Ko'Olina, and Kailua, as well as on the neighbor islands of Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island of Hawai'i. We chose the most convenient location for us - at Ala Moana Center, on the third level, by Neiman-Marcus. There's free parking at the mall and we had the pleasure of interacting with the nicest staff: Tina. She was so helpful and understanding. We showed her our gifts and pointed out the attached tags. She looked up the merchandise in their system and found out that our friend had indeed purchased the shirts from the Crazy Shirts Outlet at Ward Village. I knew exactly where that store was because I had been there in the past. They have great deals on discontinued prints, flawed items, and vintage stock. Instinctively, I had originally guessed that the gifts had been purchased at the outlet because Crazy Shirts produces a high quality product. The fabric is thicker and sturdier than the material used for other t-shirts. Crazy Shirts last for a long time. The designs are unique, local, and creative. The pricing reflects the superb product. Being practical, I felt that our friend would have gotten our gifts at a more reasonable price - like at the Crazy Shirts Outlet at Ward Centre. For example, we looked at a regularly priced t-shirt that was $51.00. I just cannot see myself wearing something like that. Sorry. I'm aware of the rent at the Mall and I have high esteem for this brand, but I prefer the prices at the outlet. It's been a while but it's still here…read more When a travel companion mentioned that he sought a particular T-shirt design, I immediately thought of this old-time business. We saw the listed address on Yelp and clicked the map to have it guide us here. When we arrived, the location differed from the listed address on the GPS so I called their number. A lady answered and told me that the company indeed moved but that she wasn't there being a Sunday. We agreed to meet Monday late morning or early afternoon. The GPS again led us to their old location so I called her again and she gave me directions. It's about a half mile from their original location. About six minutes later, we arrived a smaller parking lot and found a space there. The lady recognized me and greeted me with a smile. The layout is similar but the space is about a third of what it was at the original location. My friend shopped for shirts for his daughters and learned that one design was no longer being printed as the artist passed. Still, he was able to find shirts to bring home. In speaking with her, she is not there all the time so I highly recommend calling her to make an appointment or confirm when she is there. Thank you, Sophia, and very nice seeing you again.

Our friend had a request for specific t-shirts from Hawaii when we come over for our annual visits…read more We've never seen these designs at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and since we were there the day before, we did check but no luck. We went to the store at Colburn St. but the signage was not in front on the building as the store did not appear to be there anymore. I called the number and the lady said they had moved to 944 Akepo Lane, but she is currently away from the store and would be back in 30 minutes. The store was about five minutes away located in a similar warehouse building with parking in front. In about 15 minutes, the owner drove up with more shirts in the vehicle and she opened up the store. This location appears smaller, but the inventory was a little organized. T-shirts were folded and stacked on the perimeter and long sleeved were on racks. They also had kids clothing and dresses. I asked if she had current and past Chinese zodiac design t-shirts in x-large. She went to the section and pulled out all the ones she had since they were old designs. Prices ranged from $4 each to 3 for $10 to 4 for $20. After Face Timing my friend, we decided on the shirts he wanted. There's a bit of trivial history. Tom Selleck wore various patterned shirts and now Jay Hernandez has them in the Magnum reboot series. I them was able to order on Amazon Prime! With my excitement, I ordered 3 shirts. Oops. According to the Pacific Clothing website, the sizing of the shirts run large. Canceled and recorded a size smaller. My ordered arrived in a couple of days via Amazon Prime. The original shirts were made in silk. Now they rayon, which is actually easier to launder. While in Maui, I purchased a 'Tom Selleck" shirt for my husband. It was our 30th anniversary and wanted him to have a keepsake from our trip. When I got home, I washed it carefully, hung it to dry and it shrunk. I was so disappointed that I decided to contact the manufacturer and left an message about this issue. Very quickly I received a reply from Tim. He gave me a suggestion how to rectify the problem and when it didn't work, he asked for a picture to identify the pattern to send a new one. I was a bit sceptical as we live in Canada and this was coming from Hawaii. Then I got a message from Tim that the specific pattern was out of stock and would I be willing to wait a month for it to come in, before the shirt could be made, which I had no problem doing. I was very surprised to get the update and was happy that Tim was keeping in touch about the shirt. When I got a message that the fabric had arrived and the shirt was being made I was very hopeful. The next message was the shirt was being sent and yes, it arrived!!!!! The only cost to me was the customs charge. So happy to have had such great service.
