Since 1956, Reyn Spooner's been renowned for producing beautiful & authentic Aloha shirts & wear. I've personally enjoyed the quality build & unique designs such as the Year of the Rabbit & University of Hawai'i Aloha shirts. Upon entering you're greeted by an associate while the store is decked out in wooden floors & borders. Since this year's the Year of the Dragon, I contacted the store & they gladly added me on the list once the shirts was available to puchase & pick up. They called me notifying the shirts were ready (they usually hold your reserved items for you for a couple of days). Yes, the shirts are a bit north of $100 but because the shirt is comfortable & very high quality I'd say it's worth it. Love the shirt & design so much I bought both colorways! The staff was very helpful, from showing me the dressing room to showing me other offerings such as their shorts & other styles currently on sale. & the way they fold the items into the bag shows they give great care to their products. Go to Kahala Mall & shop at Reyn Spooner!

As a big fan of Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirts, I've been wearing Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirts for…read moreover 30+ years now. I remembered a time when I first got out of college and purchased my very first Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt from Liberty House (ya remember Liberty House???) - (If so, you one old fut like me! Buwahahahahaha!)..........in the 90's I swear I was able to get a Spooner for like $55.00 bucks. 30 years have since passed, and in today's dollars......... you're looking at double the cost for a Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt. Although cost has gone up through the years for this wonderful Hawaiian Shirt, one thing that has been consistent about a Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt is the quality of the product. Most of my Spooners that are in my closet are the poly blend shirts which comprises of - 60% Cotton & 40% Polyester (old skool shirts). The current poly blend shirts that Reyn Spooner now manufactures is 55% Cotton & 45% Polyester. If you're lazy like me, to maintain these shirts, all you have to do is hand wash the shirt, then put it on a clothes hanger to drip dry. No ironing needed whatsoever! Yes, I do know how to iron my own shirts, but I'd rather not because I'm lazy lil' dat! Buwahahahaha! Hey, I ain't gonna lie to ya! On my recent trip to the Reyn Spooner store in Kahala Mall, a friend of mine - Byron S. had given me a Reyn Spooner Peanuts edition "Surfin Snoopy" Hawaiian Shirt in Mens XL for Christmas. I guess the shirt sizing for the Peanuts edition shirts were "oversized", because when I put on that XL shirt, I was totally swimming is that beautiful shirt! Aiyah! Luckily the Reyn Spooner inside of Kahala Mall wasn't too far from my house, so I was able to go there & exchange my Peanuts edition shirt for a Mens Large. Customer service here was just okay, as the store was pretty busy the day after Christmas with only (2) clerks that were working behind the register..........so the wait was understandable. Aside from that, I just LOVE my Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirts, as you really can't go wrong with wearing a Spooner, as it's the standard Hawaiian attire for the Hawaiian business man.

Super excited about Friends & Family weekend and the SA Angel Tree for Kupuna!…read more Side note: The Angel Tree tables are right outside Macy's Shiseido and makeup entrance, staffed with many volunteers. Tags are distributed by girls, boys, and kupuna (male/female). Found one of each for kupuna wishing for blankets, comforters, or bed sheets. Entered Macy's, went right up their escalator to their bedding department, and, as I hoped and expected (from past Christmas tag years), there was a large variety of prints of Twin to Cal King 8-piece (eight!!!!) sets regularly priced at $100 for only $39.99!!!! They have handles for easy carry, and include two shams, cases, bedsheets, a bed skirt, and a comforter! So excited for the Christmas kupuna surprise, courtesy of Macy's excellent sale! Still happening tomorrow, so head on down ASAP!!!! Mahalo Macy's, for the great Friends & Family Sale! Also received excellent customer service - on both floors (!), despite the down-sizing, causing the limited availability to one cashier check out station per sales floor. The second floor cashier is at the top of the escalator ewa side. The first floor cashier is at the diamond head side exit just past cosmetics and across petites. Christmas gift wrapping is also offered on the first floor. Sorry, I didn't check for prices. I did see the plain gift boxes being offered at the cashiers check out, but didn't request any. There are many sizes to choose from! Again, great service and a huge selection in every department! One last thing - I met a fellow shopper wheeling five luggages!!! I just HAD to ask....! He was thrilled, they were 50% off!!!

Hi Andrew, I…read moreordered a Women's Lei from your store for Sunday morning pick-up (May 3rd) and your staff did a great job of handing it over to me. I just want to say that the lei was absolutely beautiful and it got so much attention, even from other lei makers and vendors at the Kalani Pe'a "May Day is Lei Day" Concert at the Historical Hawai'i Theatre in downtown. Your lei was made with Blue Jade and Gardenia and roses. The Blue Jade was spectacular and so fresh and vibrant!! It was really a work of art and my compliments to your lei maker! I found the quality and beauty were off the charts!! I just wanted to tell you about my wonderful first experience with your shop. I plan to continue to purchase all my leis from you going forward, and I will tell all my friends and family about this very impressive experience. Thank you for being there for us and for what you are bringing to our community! Mahalo nui!!

Jamie W and I were waiting for our reservation at The Pig and The Lady (review: https://yelp.to/LhZdZcHz26), so we had time to explore the Kaimuki neighborhood. Beyond the necessary malasada at Pipeline Bakery (review: https://yelp.to/coxyVLI5P8), we were curious about a couple of LGBTQ-owned businesses on Waialae Avenue. One was a fun pet supply emporium, The Public Pet (review: https://yelp.to/XXvGoRe97Q), and this was the other store. There were plenty of things to browse. Clothing and accessories appeared to dominate the main hallway, while housewares, handbag, and fabrics were presented in the back area. There were unique items like colorful hair clips, duck-head umbrellas, and tins of mackerel filets. Andrew makes sure there's nothing predictable about the inventory here, which makes a return visit mandatory. RELATED - Exploring Hawaii?
