My husband and I stopped by this bakery on our way home to try out their pastries. The interior was beautifully decorated and the owner was very friendly, but we were not impressed with the pastries we tried that day. We both ordered the blueberry hand pie. My husband also ordered a croissant and a vanilla latte. The hand pies were both cold even after being heated and the crust were hard as well, but I guess it might have been due to the butter used when making them. The owner did inform us that they only use real butter and don't use any oils which was nice, but I wish the pastries we tried would have been more to our liking. My husband said his latte was ok, but I didn't get one since they don't offer any nondairy options. Overall we had a nice visit, but most likely wouldn't return unless we were in the area, and if we do, we will try something different. read more

Made a stop yesterday for a snack - so happy I did! Got a chocolate croissant for a sweet friend and I got 1 oatmeal cookie and one everything cookie! I've only had the oatmeal so far and I tell you, this cookie lover was very pleased!! It was tender and delicious and not overly sweet! I did take a bite from the everything cookie, it's loaded with chocolate chips, pecans, coconut! Can't wait to really try it! The young lady behind the counter was so nice and attentive. I am here from out of town and found Grist & Grind online. Sounded yummy! Bakery is cutely decorated. Went there this AM to start my work day and decided on a plain croissant and a cheese danish. When I got to my destination, I found that I had been given a bacon and cheese croissant. I was literally the only person in this bakery and the lady even repeated my to go order "a plain croissant". Not sure how you give the only customer in the store the wrong order. Croissant and danish were both extremely flaky and messy, which I'm not typically a fan of so much, although the inside of the croissant seemed to be fluffy, which was nice. Had to tear off the entire top of the croissant as it had all that topping on it I did not order. Had a bite of the danish but it was dry. But I still had the wrong order and too far to go back. So, no breakfast for me today. Probably won't be returning to this bakery. read more

We stopped here for some birthday cupcakes. Although they were small, they were decorated cutely, and we had high hopes for them. I asked the lady there if any of them were fresher than others, and she said they were all the same. If that is true, I highly recommend AGAINST buying cupcakes here.
