I was told by several people that 85°C Bakery Cafe was better than Paris Baguette. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to find anything I wanted besides a beverage. Since, I felt I had to buy something, I ended up choosing a taro and a bacon & cheese pastry. I felt both were underwhelming. I'm not sure whether every 85°C Bakery Cafe location carries the same selection, but based on what I saw and tasted, I wouldn't make a second trip. While I'm not a huge fan of Paris Baguette either, I would still choose their pastries over those from 85°C Bakery Cafe. read more

If you come by on the weekend, expect a lot of customers! This place was so packed. The bakery is so fresh, the air filled with amazing bread everywhere! Got some goodies and waited a good while in line to head out and try them. Always a great visit. Unfortunately, wasn't able to sit down because they were so packed. read more

Great bakery! Lots of options. My favorite is the egg custard mochi desserts. They had a one box left, and I snagged it real quick. The area was clean. They were places to sit towards the right side. The prices are reasonable, considering how good the sweet breads are. Everything is self serve except for the full cakes they offer behind the glass case. Beautiful cakes. They also offer coffee and boba. This place is busy and there are plenty of seating spots available. Service is offered at the counter. Was glad I was able to pay cash. The kid was also able to count back the correct change. Nowadays that's impressive! Most kids can't count back change. 85°C Bakery Cafe specializes in fresh bread baked every hour, over 60 different varieties of breads inspired by European, Asian and Danish trades. 85 Degrees is always a fun stop, especially on the weekends. Yes, it is usually fairly packed, but that is part of the experience. I actually enjoy browsing and picking out my own pastries. It feels like a mini treasure hunt every time. My absolute favorites are the sweet custard bun and the egg tarts. Both are perfectly soft, not overly sweet, and always fresh. You really cannot go wrong with those. They also have some solid boba drinks that pair well with the pastries if you are looking for something refreshing. All in all, a very solid option whether you are grabbing a quick treat or taking a box to go. Consistently good and always hits the spot. read more

Always love visiting 85 bakery. I went late at night though, so a lot of the items I wanted ran out:( My mistake though. The service was efficient and good. Really good coffee! Ordered the Vietnamese coffee and it was yummy. The person that was taking our order was a little mean though. I asked for sweetener and she corrected me saying it DOES NOT come with sweetener trying to prove me wrong. Regardless whether it comes or not it was my first time coming I just wanted to add sweetener without getting attitude. Would go again though. read more

This place is huge and has lots of fun drink and bun options to choose from. I went with a seasonal strawberry pastry and it was really yummy, but I wished there was more filling inside. I also got a mocha latte, but I did not like it very much. It did not taste like the mocha's I'm used to and was way too strong. The service was alright, it took a little while to make the drinks but not super unreasonable. Overall recommend the pastries but not the coffee. read more

Visited less than a week ago, but I'm already dreaming about returning! The coffee, pastries and service are all top notch. All together we ordered a milk tea, vanilla latte with boba, a chocolate hazelnut muffin, double pack of lemon pastries, a cookies and cream pastry and a milk bun. We each ate a pastry and had our coffee on the patio, the rest was taken home for later. Not a single thing was disappointing, although next time I'll definitely get a milk bun (my friend ordered better than I did ). Everything in the store looks amazing, I'll definitely be returning and trying a different assortment of items between the counter service and bakery side. I always make it a point to visit this cafe whenever I'm in Dallas. Today, I stopped by for my favorite strawberry milk tea after lunch. I used the self-ordering kiosk since I was only getting a drink, which meant I skipped the usual line, even though it moves quickly. My drink was ready in under five minutes. My first time, but hope it won't be last. The line was long on a weekend afternoon and it moved pretty fast so can't complain. I always see the outside pictures of food, so tried to get some inside captures, so I can remember what to expect. Milk Pudding : absolutely fantastic, soft, light, was concerned it being sweet like American desserts, which it wasn't. Hokkaido bun : tasted pretty good Marble Taro : Unique and highly recommended if you like halwa type consistency, it felt like eating porotta with halwa (Fried bread with thick spread). One of my favorite bakeries in Dallas. This place is always fully stocked when you go early in the day. It is always busy but the service is good and quick. Their pastries are always fresh. Please train your employees. I was clearly waiting for help with an item from the fridge display something only they could access but instead of assisting me, the employee went on to help people who arrived after me. This behavior felt disrespectful. Customers deserve to be acknowledged and treated good, especially when they're here to spend money and employees get payed from that money. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and it left a very negative impression. I chose to leave without purchasing anything, and I will not be recommending this bakery to friends or family. If you value respectful service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I came to this location every time when I visited Dallas, they are always busy and some stuff sold out if I come too late. The pastry is always good for commercial bakery with additives, they have new varieties every quarter. The price is very affordable and the store is really busy, but the service is super fast. This place is always busy for a reason! I ordered a birthday cake online for a friends 21st and he was so happy with the cake. Everyone wanted to know where the cake was from because it was SO GOOD. As you all know they've got a great array of freshly made custom pastries & cakes. The food is top notch quality. The bakery is kept fairly sanitary & restrooms are fairly clean. The dining room has 3 tables & 6 chair!?? We frequent this place & our bill runs $25- $50 & at times runs @$100. The cakes are made well & tastes great. My main complaint is why the staff isn't properly trained to listen to the customer's request. Often, I've order a cup of regular black coffee & 2 expresso shots. The lead gal that often corrects my coffee does a great job. Staff at register confuse themselves & can't distinguishing a cup of coffee with 2 expresso shots; which is typically known as a Black Eye & a single shot of expresso added is a Red Eye. The baristas are confused bc the cashiers either do know coffee orders & or are just stubbornly have selective hearing bc they always want to sell Amecanos- which is expresso shot with hot water. I try & make it clear & the baristas have been helpful in correcting my order bc they listen. So please, whomever is in charge please either train or retrain your cashier staff. It's been numerous I've experience this unfortunate situation. So, next time, let's LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER! Thank for your assistance read more

Enter, grab a tray and fill it up! Everything is this place looks so pretty and delicious it was hard to pick and mostly everyone had their trays filled up, I mean like piled high full. They have white chocolate bread that I am now dreaming of making French toast out of but couldn't purchase at the time. They have all kinds of desserts to please everyone, a custom bakery and beautiful cakes. They also sell all sorts of tea, milks, coffee, etc. If you see one of these bakeries in your area (they are opening up several new locations soon) do not miss the opportunity to try them out. Our selections were delicate, soft, fluffy with the right amount of sweet and cream without over doing it in sugar or richness. Such a delight. It was very busy and stayed busy throughout the whole day we went twice in one day so prepare to wait and the line was long. read more

One of my favorite pastry places, but I'm very disappointed today. I ordered iced Vietnamese coffee not knowing that they'd fill up the entire cup with ice. I was only able to get to sips for my $5.15 cup of coffee-- they only had one size too: large! I'm very disappointed because a few weeks ago I went to the Plano location and they did not fill my cup to the brim with ice like this location. The pastries here have that subtle amount of sweetness which is perfect for me since I don't eat a ton of sweets. I grabbed 3 for the road since I wasn't in Dallas long and it took me a few days to finish them. Service is quick and all the employees are nice and patient. I was showing some friends this bakery cause they had never been here before and bought them some pastries and breakfast snacks they loved it. Place is always clean and they stock the pastries quick. This is my favorite bakery shop. Their pastries are not overly sweet. The bread is soft and moist. Haven't been in a while. They had some new bakeries. My go-to is the Berry Tales. Has blueberry custard cheesecake-like inside. Had the hokkaido milk bun. That was so good. I always love the fruit tart and fruit jelly cups, but they didn't have any. read more

I go for the drinks... the food is ok, but you get tired of it relatively quickly. If you've never been it's worth a try. There are a few Asian inspired bakery's within the Dallas area in general and quite a few offerings at the Asian grocery stores and for the most part they're beginning to taste all the same to me. Uninspired catering to a select consumer never offering something that's out of this world or so good that you HAVE TO try it. read more

Delicious food and drinks--this is one of my favorite regular spots! Overall, the service is great from most of the staff. However, I've had a few less-than-ideal experiences with one staff member, Evelyn. On four occasions now, I've noticed issues when she prepares my drink. For example, the machine sometimes fails to seal the lid properly, and yesterday, she handed me my drink with coffee spilling over the counter and her hands. I even noticed her fingers inside my drink. Unfortunately, she walked away before I could ask for a replacement, and I had to call another staff member to help reseal the lid. This doesn't reflect the service I've received from the rest of the team, who are always friendly and attentive. I hope this feedback can help ensure consistent service from everyone. read more

I do not have anything bad to say about this place! The line is always long, but they move very efficiently. I looked at what I wanted to order based on what people around me had in their hands ( I wanted to try everything!) and everything I picked up was absolutely delicious. Also, most of the bakery items freeze very well because I take one out every morning to eat for breakfast. When you walk in all the baked goods are to the left in plastic bags. You grab a tray and start loading it with the items you want. I tried several with meat, an elote bun, bean bun, as well as anything that was baked with cream cheese. When you choose the items you want, you go to the checkout line and that's it. They also have drinks you can order behind the counter. The line moves very quickly. read more

I've been coming here for years and it's still fantastic! I love the pastries, fresh baked bread and the customer service is always exceptional. They did remove a lot of the tables so there isn't much seating area. Regardless the drinks and treats are amazing! You can get hot or cold drinks. They do not have a small size of drinks; so you have to get medium or large. Parking can get very hectic on weekends as well. Overall you'll love this place! read more

I love Vietnamese coffee and what they have here is excellent and best of all not too sweet. Generally I find most shops take to be made with cafe du monde and a lot of condensed milk but this here has definitely better beans and a better balance between acidity, sweetness and other flavors. It's also straight up rocket fuel - be warned, it's a very strong and potent brew but will get you going in the morning. I also tried a black sesame latte because it sounded interesting. The cream on top is nutty and rich with the sesame notes and the coffee is good too, though a bit hard to stir together, nor is it as potent as the drip but well crafted nevertheless. When I come again I think I would just pick the classic. All in all, great new coffee shop!

The egg cream coffee was great, the egg cream complemented the strong taste of Viet coffee. The coconut matcha cloud was a little underwhelming. The matcha flavor was pretty weak, so the drink tasted mostly like coconut water. For the prices, $8 is a bit expensive for a cup of coffee, but I think it's still worth every once in a while. I would try the other speciality phin coffees next time and skip the coconut matcha cloud. Overall, I would recommend if you want some Viet coffee and are in the area.

You can choose from four seasonings, and get one sauce on the side I opted for the sweet chili sauce. This is made to order so you will have a 10-15 minute time but just spend that time getting excited for the chicken!
