I'm all for supporting small businesses, but will never return here. To say that the employees are rude is an understatement. I'm used to typical straightforward nature at markets, but their attitude is something else. I was constantly berated while looking at mangos near the door. Literally the whole time, an employee was standing right next to me and nagging me as if I was about to topple all the fruit off the stand or completely obstructing the door. I wasn't, and it's absolutely normal to sort through and select fruit? These mangos are EXPENSIVE, I don't want to just blindly pick a box. When I asked if I should pay outside or inside at the cashier (since some grocers will have you pay for outside merchandise, outside), she rudely asked if I was blind and couldn't see the cashier. I asked the cashier about this behavior (in Vietnamese) and was entirely ignored. Literally not a single word said. Not sure why I hadn't just left at this point, but I bought 6 large, rather expensive, boxes. I truly regret it because even THEN, they made me feel like a nuisance for setting them down outside as I carried them 2-by-2 to my car on the other side of the parking lot. There are no carts and I'm not exactly the strongest body builder out there, not sure what they expected of me. I regret spending my money here. Let me tell you my secret to where I get all my delicious fresh fruits from. I usually get asked through my food posts. Well, its no where else but T T Seafood No. 1. Their produce, especially fruits here can't get any fresher. The freshness is always on point and I always tell this to my close friends and loved ones. They go here and totally agree after. I would recommend to go in the morning over night cause that's when they restock everything and everything so fresh out the shipment. Also, I can't forget to mention their fish selection. It's like a sea of fish here and again, the key word is fresh. Fish no fresh..no buy. It's a definite buy here! It's a small market but It's all about the quality. Quality over quantity. Plus everything is much easier to find and saves so much time when I just want to make a quick drop in and out. More time for cooking. It's small so they know everyone that goes here or regular like me. Although there is only one cashier but that doesn't stop her from slowing down the line. She works hard from the AM to PM but that doesn't stop her from being always friendly and caring every time I come in. She knows her customer inside out. There's also an elder gentleman that works in the meat/fish section that always waves hello and remembers that I go here usually to buy fish for my Mother so he tells me to grab it and does the cleaning of the fish throughly. It's almost like we had to do no cleaning before cooking at home. Every time I go here it's hard to keep my wallet from breaking because everything is so fresh and I want to buy everything but end of the day, cooking is my passion. All I want is to cook good meal with good quality food and luckily there's T.T No 1 Seafood that delivers to my cooking standard. read more

I'm sorry but I think you guy should check where and which distributor you get from. These Durian is RI 6 suppose to be good. I bought esle where so good... but the one I bought from you guy so heavy and all bad inside. This is my to go to for exotic fruits whenever I am in the neighborhood. I've gotten a box of fresh mangosteen, boxes of rambutan and durians from here and have had good luck so far with the fruits. Prices are pretty good to me. The supermarket is small but has enough of the basic vegetables, dry goods and decent choice of meats. The lines can be long at times but the cashier try to ring everyone up as fast as they can the times I've been there. They also have a fb page so if you're interested in knowing what they have, they post and update so you can see what stock they have. Beware though, if you go too late, many good exotic fruits will be sold out. read more

If you're looking for interesting or rare fruits, you have to go to an Asian grocery store! This is an old stomping ground for me. Anytime I have a craving for tropical fruits like mangos, mangosteen, cherimoya, jackfruits, etc., this is one of the places that guarantees to have what I am looking for! The fruits are fresh and farm. The prices are much cheaper compared to American markets. It's unbelievable price comparison. For fruits and veggies, this shop is top notch. I'm never disappointed when I shop at this little family owned store. The meat, fish, produce, and tropical fruits are always fresh. The prices for mango, papaya, jack fruit, guava, Durian, Logans and Lychees to name a few are better than Santa Ana prices. The shop is small so you have to practice patience, because there are so many people that shop here the lines can get really long. Michelle is the store Manager and is always helpful if I need anything. I think it's tough to balance a long line, demanding shoppers and get product out the door. 3 weeks ago I Bought first time small durian not that good watery no taste at all. Second time bought a small a little bit better. Today I bought a big durian cost $22 it was still frozen. Brought it home and tried to open up. It was terrible hard, look like not ripe yet the meat was so white have to throw in the garbage . Very disappointed. That was my third times. Excellent place for high quality fruits. 4 stars for high quality fruits offered here. Fruits here are expensive but for some fruits, I would rather eat fewer but high quality fruits. Longans from Hawaii sold at TT was $5.50/lb vs. longans from Vietnam sold at other supermarkets for less than $3/lb. Rambutan from Guatamela at TT was $2.70/lb vs. rambutans from Mexico sold at Dai-Thanh for $1.50/lb. Mangosteens @ $8/lb are too much for my budget. I couldn't discern any difference in qualify or taste for jackfruit or banana, which TT sold 30%-50% more expensive than other Asian stores. Vegetables are also more expensive at TT. I couldn't discern difference either but it could be me, lacking ability to tell the difference. I have not bought any seafood there. I bought meat and it tasted fine. Service can range from warm (polite and helpful) to cold (abrupt) but always informative. The workers are generally nicer than the owner. (I assume that the cashiers are owners but I could be wrong.) A small place with little to no social distancing but nearly everyone has masks. The parking is crowded but there have always been available spaces. read more

I'm really disappointed in this market! I've been here a number of times and have always gotten good quality seafood and abrupt service which I can live with. Saturday was a very different story. I was there for crabs. They have clear 3 tank program. Fresh crabs in the bottom tank, older crabs and crabs missing limbs in the middle tank and sad half dead crabs in the top tank. I watched the Vietnamese family just before me get crabs out of the bottom tank and they looked very fresh. I asked for the same crabs and the man helping me out was only going to give me the top and middle tank crabs?! I hoped it was a language barrier so I asked the cashier (maybe owner) if he could help and he said that I can only buy the poor quality crabs. The market sold rambutan $1.99 per pound and $30 for a box of 15 pounds. I bought a box of rambutan to gift my father in law yesterday. My sister in law also bought a box of rambutan for $23 dollars. I weighted both boxes with plastic containers and compared both. They were same weights of 11 lbs. It mean that without the plastic container, I paid $30 dollars for only 10 lbs of rambutan. This was my box number 4. I was ripped off $40 dollars within a month. How many customers were cheated by the market? How much did they illegally pocket? I called the supermarket. The person on the phone said that the supplier sold to them as 15 lbs then they sold to consumer as 15 lbs and hang up the phone. I always shopped there and will not go back there again. read more
