I created a yelp account specifically for this review. I couldn't even wait to leave the restaurant to leave this review. Ta Molley's is unfathomably bad. I couldn't even finish my plate because the food was so bad, which is unheard of for me. I'm not saying this place isn't authentic Mexican, however, this place was closer to Taco Bell than it is to El Acapulco. The chips tasted like the chips you get at a ballpark with your nachos. The salsa was almost sweet and had a taste I couldn't identify. The queso was thick and reminded me of panchos, which is good don't get me wrong, but I don't go out to a Mexican restaurant to get panchos cheese dip. I got a burrito el grande that was by no means el grande, it was tiny. The meat on the inside was gross and reminded me of chili. The rice was a weird shade that I've never seen at a Mexican place. I didn't finish my meal and I still am concerningly full for how little I ate, also I haven't ate anything else all day. I'm afraid this will have me camping out on the porcelain tonight. read more

The lunch menu is excellent; we had plenty of good options to peruse as we enjoyed our Chips & Salsa. They even had yellow queso; a dead giveaway of Texas influence. My Cancun Combo was excellent, and priced right for lunch! My wife loved the lunch-sized Chicken Fajitas, and I was able to snare a couple of fajita bites to confirm!! Better than average Tex-Mex, even though we are a long way from the border. Sometimes even chain-restaurants get it right! read more

not impressed unless u love cheese dip on everything a cheese enchilada usually has a nice red sauce or a nice green sauce not just queso dip wrapped in a stale corn tortilla. The cheese enchiladas are so good I've been getting them for years. The service is also amazing the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere it just seems like authentic food. Plus they have things like burgers and fries for kids. Also anyone can order off of the kids menu! There is no age limit for the kids menu!!! read more

Finally got a response from a manager at TaMolly's saying hoped we brought this to their attention while there so they could redo our order. Well, we didn't see the order until we got it home. He did not contradict the serving size I detailed, just wanted our return business. Since there is no way to respond to his remarks, I chose to enter another review. Seating and service are generally fast in this acceptable Mexican themed restaurant. It is clean, you are instantly presented with a generous basket of chips, and prices are reasonable. At times there's a creepy balloon artist to frighten and embarrass the children. Is that a noose? How macabre, no, nope, it's a hat. You know, a guy that makes stuff with balloons, while you eat, just like Mexico. I like Tamolly's, sometimes it's exactly what I am in the mood for. They offer the traditional massive Ameri-Mex menu of taco, burrito, taco combinations. Lunch specials average only $6. Ironically I did not care for the tamales at Tamolly's (it's not because I fear homophones). BTW- it's a dry county so no Margaritas for you. Tamolly's is part of a chain currently about 10 locations through the Mid-South. read more

I went through the drive up window and nobody in the kitchen was wearing a mask. No one. They were touching food and drinks.

We ate here last night while traveling. I ordered a gold margarita and even though the waitress assure me twice I really got a top shelf margarita it was not and the charge was too cheap. Also when finishing our guacamole we discovered apiece of the avocado skin w the grocery sticker. I lost my appetite after that discovery. It isn't the worst Mexican food I've ever had but it is far from the best. There were so many problems and strange things in the food (avocado skin in guacamole and HUGE pieces of onion in the rice) The food just didn't taste good. Not even the chips and salsa or cheese dip. I tried my mother's tamales which had ground pork instead of shredded?? I now remember why we hadn't eaten here in years. read more

Ordered a large chicken nacho for $12 and there was literally only 12 chips in the box. This would barely feed a little kid. After working 10 hours and spent over $50 for my family to eat so I didn't have to cook. I still have to cook for myself. I could have went to Taco Bell and paid less for better food then I received. read more

My favorite Tex-Mex in Jonesboro. Clean and quick, with friendly staff. Good variety of items on the menu. Favorites: BOB'S DIP, flautas, and grilled chicken quesadillas. read more

We live 90 minutes away and it's always worth drive for this Tex-mex style food! Great place for those who like spicy kick of Tex-mex. Good enchiladas, burritos, and tacos! read more

The nachos are not nachos they are tostadas with ground beef. The shredded beef nachos i do not recommend. The fajita meat wS undercooked. The server was horrible messed up 5 out of 6 orders. Do not recommend going here. read more

Well...the hostess was very friendly. The chicken in the enchilada dinner was great but this is definitely Tex-Mex. They forgot to refill our drinks, accused that my drivers license was fake, tried to charge us for cheese dip we never got it, even reminded the waiter, forgot our sour cream twice. This is a Tex Mex place where you will, overall, get poor service. I go here occasionally for luncheons with other people, and it has become a joke for us, because we basically have to wait on ourselves a lot. I think they might be poorly trained or understaffed for busy lunches. Big parking lot so you CAN park trailers. The cheese dip isn't great, but the other stuff is pretty good. It's got a little different taste than the other Mexican places in jonesboro. This would get another star from me if they would give better service. read more

If you want real mexican food there is only one place in town, and that's Los Arcos, although they too have fallen into the nasty cheese sauce band wagon that seems to have overtaken this area. Mexicans don't eat cheese sauce, nor do they serve crappy salsa that is obviously not freshly made like Ta Molly's, and by the way that's not even the proper way to spell tamales, I guess a place that spells tamales wrong would subsequently get mexican food wrong too!! read more

When I first saw the punny name I couldn't help but question just how authentic and delicious the food really is,and was hesitant to visit when a family member wanted to. I walked in with low expectations,and I have to say they were exceeded. The service was excellent,our waiter was very attentive and good at his job. While the food wasn't exactly what I would call "authentic" mexican food, it was definitely good. There's not a doubt in my mind though that the seasoning on my tacos was old el paso. read more

Please do not go here. I agree with the other two reviews. This place is bogus. The decor is nice but the food sucks. If you are a vegiterian, do not even think about this place. The drinks are watery. Also that balloon guy they are talking about only comes on Wednesdays. The salsa is not that great either. The prices are reasonable. Just make this a last resort. read more

The service & food was very good. The waiter took care of us & was very pleasant. I had the enchiladas....I didn't realize they were the special of the day so it was a great value. I loved the enchiladas, rice & beans. The salsa seems a little watered down & we didn't care for the cheese dip. I will keep coming back for the enchiladas. read more

Service was good, but that was the only thing about this trip that was. This was probably the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Cheese Dip had a funny taste and my Chicken Fajita Nachos were like no other that I have had at any other Mexican Restaurant. It's sad that this place is in a dry county because you need liquor to make this place enjoyable. I guess if Tex-Mex food that has all of the flavor and appeal of a cheap Mexican TV dinner is what you are looking for the Tamolly's is right up your alley. Ta Molly's aways has good consistent food with good service. More importantly the Health Department gives them good marks in the news paper. One last thing they have the best lit parking lot of any restaurant I have been to making it easy to find your car and feel safe while doing so. read more
