I needed to do some laundry and it was pretty late at night & no grocery or big box store open, so I went to TA Travel Center and purchased a very small box of Tide - The box contained enough powdered detergent for 4 regular size loads & it was almost $6.00! The store was getting busy with Truckers coming and going... They have a great selection of auto/truck basic items... Lights, Tow Straps, Oil, Shirts, Hat's, Socks, Gloves, Jackets/Hoodies,Hygiene products that come packaged together so you don't get a choice but if you want to be clean these bags have what you need. They have Coffee & all your convenient store snacks & Beverages. They have a lot of cool glass figurines & Jewelry also. There is a " lounge" for the Truckers to use. Stopped here during our travels and wanted to leave a fair review. The travel center itself was actually well stocked -- plenty of snack options, drinks, and convenience items, so if you need road trip supplies this is definitely a good stop for that. Unfortunately, the women's restroom was not in great condition during our visit. The toilets were dirty, there was toilet tissue all over the floor, and there were no seat covers available. I'd recommend bringing your own seat covers or wipes, and making sure you grab tissue before using the restroom just in case. Honestly, great place to grab snacks and drinks... but you may want to use the restroom somewhere else nearby instead. read more

Not a fan of driving the I-5, so this was our first time stopping at TA in Santa Nella. It got the job done, and the gas was fairly priced, which was a big plus. Other stations along the route from the Grapevine to Santa Nella were often higher, even much higher in some places. I stayed in the car while Dear Hubby went in to give cash for the gas and use the restroom. It was a busy station, to be sure. The entrance for cars was a bit confusing because many of the vehicles were facing the opposite way of the driveway. DH went by the first driveway, and ended up in the big rig area of the station. Signage wasn't very clear. We got turned around, the car got gassed up and we were on our way back to the long ribbon of highway. read more

Two of the three small restroom stalls' locks were not latching properly (this means that if someone were to push the door it would've opened), which was an inconvenience. However, everything else went fine. The atmosphere of the place was calming and there was an IHOP that is in the same building. The products were pricey, but at the end of the day, it's a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Overall, I had a nice experience here. read more

We travel in this portion of California quite often. Most of the time we will take a pit stop at this Santa Nella exit off of the Interstate 5 freeway and stop at Pea Soup Andersen. Sometimes, though, we stop at TA Santa Nella Travel Center when we need to fill up the gasoline tank. This travel center is more than just a gasoline station. They have a convenience store which sells their merchandise at reasonable prices. No highway robbery here! Restrooms have always been pretty clean each time we stop in. Gasoline is also priced fairly as well. I found this TA truck stop to be large & well stocked with the usual necessities & accessories for the road. I found premises to be acceptably clean and staff nominally friendly. Being a 24 hour truck stop, it also offers usual in-out truck & other vehicular noise, being just off the interstate. Be prepared for this if you overnight here. The gas station across the street from the Anderson's Pea Soup. This is my usual stop on the 5 for gas/restroom. I drove from The Bay to LA beginning of December 2021. The gas prices here is usually cheaper than any gas station that will be to the on I-5. It has been for years. Additionally if you have a shell rewards account(free to join), you get an extra discount on the gas. Most gas stations were almost $5/gal. if not close to it. This gas station was $4.39/gallon + the $0.03/gallon discount I had from being a shell rewards member. There are a lot of pumps for cars, the wait shouldn't be too long. The bathrooms are good to use. Clean enough to use the stalls. Extra bonus there's a Popeyes connected to it. So if you don't want gas station food this is a great option. read more

Perfect spot for truck drivers to shower and get some food or rest. They even have a truck service center open at 938pm. Excellent place to get food, coffee or restroom. Lots of pumps. From now on while on road trips I will only stop at travel centers. They're always clean, plus you can purchase drinks and snacks. Sometimes if you're too tired to keep going, you can rest for a few minutes. The regular rest stops are filthy. You would think with Covid they would be cleaned. NOT SAFE!!! Stay away. Go across the street to loves. You have people smoking at the gas pumps. If you go to the bathroom the stalls don't lock and they are so dirty there is crusted poop and pee stains around the toilet. I do a lot of driving and usually a gas station is a place to fuel up and keep going. Sometimes however you need more of a pit stop to get gas, grab snacks, stretch, and maybe eat. This TA Center is a great stop off the 5 between SoCal and NorCal. The gas prices are consistently among the lowest along the 5. Here you can also find an good selection of snacks and drinks. There are ready to eat items too like sandwiches and hot dogs or if you prefer there is a full service diner attached (not 24 hours). Restrooms are larger than the gas stations you normally visit. About 6 at a time and inside. There are more in back usually for truckers but all are welcome. Showers are available too for a fee. There is a little break room with a tv for drivers who want to sit and unwind. I also like the grassy area near the road set up for pets to use. A big area with complimentary poop bags to use. Great for travelers with pets. Staff is always around to help and keep visitors moving along. Inside is kept clean, the gas pumps are well lit and feel safe. There is a Popeyes chicken on site, and pretty much every other fast food place along HWY 33 at the I-5 junction including In N Out! So yes as far as off the Highway gas stops along the 5 FWY go this is among the best. read more

It's the little things that are the big things when your on the road! Starting with clean well stocked bathrooms, both on the ladies and men's side. Ample places to relieve/walk our dog. As a trucker I come to this TA just about every day to get fuel. I stop at plenty of truck stops a week but this one is probably the worst when it comes to customer service out of my experience. Starting off with customer service; it seems that all of the employees seem like they either don't wanna work or they're having a bad day...every day. There's one specific person who I basically avoid at all costs named Savanna. Savanna is a young lady who works at the counter, she's always got this irritating smirk on her face with an attitude, doesn't ever bother to say any sort of greeting or anything, there's plenty of times where I've seen people (including myself) saying thank you but she just stares at their faces with her fake looking smirk like they just asked her for a kidney. The rest of the employees could be a little more kind but over all not too bad. For a travel center this place has everything you can think off. If you can't find it here there is tons all around. The travel center has plenty of Shell brand pumps, for both autos and semi trucks. Not over priced gasoline, so that's always good. Big, clean restrooms, warm food, road snacks, trinkets, road supplies, and a restaurant right next to it. Like I said, if you can't find what you need here, there is tons around. Chain restaurants, other travel centers, hotels, auto/truck shops and anything you can think of for a travel center area. I drive from Los Angeles to the SF Bay Area a few times a month. When I stop for gas, I try to stop at one of four gas stations and this is one of them. Cheap gas and clean restrooms are a priority. Stopped here today and gas was almost a dollar less per gallon than it was in Colinga, 100 miles south. Restrooms (accessible from inside the store) were also clean with no line. Customer service was also on point. There were two girls working two registers and a single line that each were calling customers from. As I was waiting in line to pay for my gas, someone jumped in front of me and went directly to the girl on the right side of the counter. The girl on the left immediately looked over at the girl to the right and said, "Cuts!" The girl on the right responded,"I saw that," and promptly looked over at me and said,"Next," while ignoring the guy who jumped the line. As silly as it may sound, it was refreshing to see. Kudos to them for doing the right thing. Other pros- plenty of pumps (I've never had to wait for one), convenient store with plenty of snacks, beverages, souvenirs, stuffed animals, camping knives and other small items and a restaurant. read more

I know it's not the sort of thing most people review, but I wish they did, because finding an RV dump outside of a campground is so much tougher than it seems like it ought to be! Thankfully (somehow) we found ourselves on a recent trip at Travel Centers of America. Easy pull-up and $10 to dump, plus a really clean restroom to wash hands afterward, was exactly what we needed and got here. This is a welcome pit stop on your drive on I-5 in between Sacramento and LA. We stopped for gas here and had to get some Popeye's chicken. Popeye's was the reason we stopped in here, every exit had your usual McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Carl's, and Subway. Not at TA, they have Popeye's! Yay! The restrooms are big with five stalls. Believe me, I counted them stalls because when we stopped here, there was a tourist bus here(must have been a bus to a women's retreat) and there was a line of over twenty women waiting to relieve themselves, the men's line had noone waiting, lol! The line moved rather smoothly being that there's five stalls and all. There's a sit-in restaurant, can't recall the name, Popeye's and the TA Travel Centers convenient mart. Typical convenient mart, with a nice selection of snacks, souvenirs, and whatever else you would find in a quick mart. If you're low on gas, make sure to stop here because your next gas stop may not be for another twenty miles! read more

I travel this route twice a month and always stop at this location i went to pay for my items and gas . Upon standing at the register i forgot my pump number and i asked the employee Armando what number i was on and he got an attitude with me i mistakenly told him the wrong pump , i walked to my car to pump the gas and immediately realized i told him the wrong pump number, i go back inside to correct the situation apparently someone pumped my gas in that short amount of time , they proceeded to tell me that they would not rectify the situation and would not give me my gas i paid for , they were extremely rude and basically told me not their problem handed me a receipt and told me to call a manager! And i will definitely be calling and will never do my custody exchages here & will never spend another dime there ! I like this place because it's one of the cheapest places to get gas along the 5 vs the other places on the highway. The best part is that prices are usually much less than both SF and LA. by at least 20 cents, which is great along the 5. The gas station and convenience store itself is a bit old and dirty, feels like the last remodel was back in the 80s. The hot food selection in the convenience store is pretty bleak.... if you're hungry you're going to end up eating not much more than a bag of cheaps, a stale corn dog, and a soda. Bathrooms are semi clean and stocked, so that's a plus. Definitely worth a stop for the cheap gas and potty break. read more

This stop is very likely one of the lowest price gas on the I-5 between SF & LA. It's at the Santa Nella exit, about 111 miles away from San Francisco. Besides lower prices on gas, it has a full store selling everything from trucker t-shirts, souvenirs, snacks, a ton of beverages and everything you'd expect to find at a 7-11. Next door, there's an AYCE buffet. I wouldn't dare try it. It's dangerous to have food coma while traveling the (ahem) speed limit of 70. Also attached is a Popeye's Chicken. So in short, great place to fill up the tank w/o getting ripped off, take a restroom break and load up on snacks.
