The thing I need to work on for meals is planning ahead. If you already do that, then Table and Twine will be your new best friend. If not, like me, then Table and Twine can help. Their service is different than lots of meal delivery companies out there because they're doing 90% of the work, you're just basically reheating in the oven or microwave. The instructions are so easy to follow too and makes for a gourmet meal in a matter of minutes. I already order takeout or go to dinner once a week at a MINIMUM so adding this expense is really on par with getting takeout but the food is so much better. There's no hidden fees and the packaging and presentation of the delivery feels so bougie... like I have a private chef prepping my dinner. As I mentioned, I'm not great at planning ahead and when I ordered for a Thursday delivery, I later realised that Thursday was the only day of the week I already had plans. No worries, I set everything aside and was able to get to it a couple days later. Let me tell you that everything was just as fresh including the wedge salad! What a great treat! I learned about T&T through a Yelp event that I sadly did not take part in, but started following them on Instagram shortly after waiting for the right time to try. I'm so glad I finally did! We chose two meals (4 servings), one with grilled fish and another with steak. I also picked a couple desserts to try -- the banana pudding was divine. Table and Twine provides a restaurant quality meal at home that you just heat up and assemble relatively quickly. I was so impressed with the terrific job T&T did for our 2020 Yelpies event that when we were looking for something special for our stay-at-home New Year's Eve, T&T was on top of my list. I had signed up for emails and one contained a Holiday Dinner for Two which looked irresistible: Butternut Squash Soup, Filet Mignon with a cab Demi glacé, crab cake with coarse mustard remoulade , whipped truffle mashed potatoes, string beans with shaved almonds-and dark truffle chocolate cake. All for $89.00 plus tax and $7.99 delivery charge to Mt. P. It was so simple ... the ordering process was completed on the easy to navigate website. I ordered, provided delivery and payment info and I was done in a jiffy. I immediately received a confirmation order which I followed up to add an order of Italian sausage stuffed mushrooms (12/$12.99). An updated confirmation quickly arrived. On NYE, I received a text and email that my order was fulfilled around noon. At 1:15pm, the driver arrived. Everything came in separate bundles and containers, packed in dry ice. Instructions for preparation were either on an individual package or a sheet. I was psyched. At the appointed hour, I put on my apron, (over my pjs), preheated the oven and began to prepare the meal ... app, first. Was everything delicious? You bet! We are three large orders in now w/ T&T. I will be honest, probably would not have been a priority had we not had a catastrophic kitchen casualty taking out our stove/sink/etc. This is solely due to us enjoying cooking and spending time together in the kitchen. However, Table and Twine has been a life saver and their meals are 5-star all of the way. We do b-fast, lunch, dinner and nothing disappoints. Portion sizes are definitely on the plus size so don't worry about the reviews that say they skimp on that. The crab cake dinner was phenomenal and fed 6+. The b-fast sandwiches are amazing. Table and Twine is an upscale take-out/ meal delivery service that is a part of Duvall catering. Each meal is carefully packed with reheating instructions stapled to the bag. Every meal we tried was delicious but my stand out items were the crab cakes and the bulgogi. I would say it is slightly out of my price range for every day eating but for a restaurant quality option without leaving the comfort of your house, the value is there! I would like to try out some of their drink mixers and desserts next. The menu also changes every week so I'm sure there will be tempting dishes! All in all I enjoyed Table and Twine. This place is located in front of another one of my favorite places, The Striped Pig Distillery. It is easy to find and is right off of 26. If you are looking for pre-made meals at a very reasonable cost, this is a great little gem for you. The meals come partially cooked with easy instructions on how to finish off the cook at home. Their weekly menu has something for everyone. It includes individual, family, holiday and entertainment packages. It is a great option for those who like a good meal but find themselves crunched for time during the week. As a parent, I highly recommend this place because having a meal or two on hand that you can just pop in the oven with no fuss is amazing. I had the Honey Orange Glazed Beef Short Ribs. It came with caramelized brussels sprouts, sweet potato puree and of course, a honey orange glaze. It was so easy to finish off in the oven and to reheat the potatoes. The food itself was quite good. Remember that you can always add your own touches to these meals if you need to! I usually don't like brussels sprouts but I had found I ate all of them this time as they were yummy. The customer service was awesome. I had to reach out to Ashley on a few things and she answered my questions right away. When my husband picked up my order he had no issues whatsoever. My only disappointment is that like most places in Charleston, they only deliver to Charleston county. I wish there was an option for delivery that is more expansive to the tri-county area. If you don't live in Charleston county you can pick up your order curbside on their designated days. The customer service is super helpful and quick to reply with any questions. The meals come with reheating instructions. I believe the menu changes often, but I had the beef short ribs and they were SO tender. The sweet potato puree was a big portion and really yummy! I personally didn't care for the dessert. I am so happy to have learned about this place through the Yelpies awards this year. The food and service are both amazing! You can order from your phone, have it delivered to your door, and with very simple and clear instructions, your upscale meal is ready in minutes. We ordered the stuffed chicken and the ravioli. They were both absolutely phenomenal. I added a bit of balsamic glaze to my ravioli which is another fun thing...since the meal is at home, you can add things with ease if you'd like. We recently placed our first order for delivery. The food was very good and fresh and we enjoyed having a tasty meal delivered after a long day's work. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that their meals are not customizable. I don't eat cheese and requested it be left off of an entree. Customer service informed me that they are entirely too busy to make special requests and to choose one of the meals that doesn't come with cheese. The problem with that is my meal choices would be severely limited and really would not make ordering worthwhile. I think a better approach, which I have seen with other meal services, would be to just put the cheese in a separate container on all entrees so that those not wanting it can still enjoy the meal. Anyway, if you are not picky and don't require any particular dietary accommodation then you will definitely like Table & Twine, but unfortunately it is not for us. read more
