Breakfast Martini in front and Espresso Martini in back
    Mike R.

Came back for Brunch and to pick up some wine we'd purchased at a previous event. Summary Update: You can't go wrong! Started out with a couple drinks (brunch, duh!). Breakfast Martini comprised of gin, lemon, and citrus marmalade and you better be ready, it was definitely 'spirit forward' and a good way to kick off a heart brunch! I opted for the Expresso Martini, and it was perhaps the best I've had; and I've had a few. ;) Main Lobster and Biscuits and my go-to Short Rib Smash Burger will never ever lead you wrong! The Lobster dish is served over 2 cheddar-rosemary biscuits spit in half with lobster and all of it covered with lobster gravy and bacon. Really well done. While there wasn't enough lobster to cover all the biscuits (that's a lot of biscuit to cover) there was enough, and what you realize is the biscuits on their own are out of this world, especially with the lobster gravy. However, if you were smart enough to order the Roasted Sweet Potato you realize those 'extra' biscuits are the perfect vessel to carry all that Sweet Potato aioili goodness to your watering mouth! All of it is seriously heaven on a plate! While we passed on dessert we did opt to share a Bloody Mary. One of us is a spice monger; and I much less so (ok, fine, I'm a spice wimp) they were gracious enough to split the drink and bring a bottle of their home-made hot sauce so we could both enjoy the drink to our liking. The bloody mary was really good, and I even added a couple drops (versus shaking and shaking it in like my other half) and it was really good; great flavor and enough heat I could tell it was there. So I know that owners were out of town but you need to know they've built a staff from front to back that is exceptional at what they do whether the boss is there or not. Such great service, clearly details matter, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I find it truly an outstanding experience that leaves me smiling, happy to experience, and never hungry as I walk out the door!

A very special evening of delicious Thai food that was delicious service was spot on, and the ambience was perfect. I hope they continue to do these types of dinners to explore different foods at this amazing restaurant.

Table at the Lake is the best restaurant at Lake Oconee, in my opinion. The ambiance, staff, and quality and presentation of the cuisine (and oh yes, it IS cuisine) are top notch. Reservations are highly recommended: I tried for Saturday night reservations on Saturday morning and only 8:45pm and later were available . In a way, I am glad we ate at 8:45pm because by that time the crowd was dying down. Our attentive server Liz was able to focus on us and give me some fabulous gluten free options. I was sad that the Ahi was sold out by that time, however. I had the halibut and it was the best, freshest, firmest and best halibut I've ever had. Our drinks were original and the "Vodkation" was delicious. Summer squash was grilled and the kimchi sauce was fabulous. My husband loved the focaccia loaf and I was very jealous I couldn't eat it. And his "BFS" Big Format Steak was very tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Don't forget to get the basque cheesecake. It is sublime with the orange sauce. All food was original, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We throughly enjoyed our experience!

What a wonderful place to celebrate my bestie turning 50! This boutique feeling restaurant left nothing to be desired with Spanish octopus appetizer and elegant entree assortment! The wine list was also filled with rare and impressive finds from all over the world. Been three times since and spectacular service and cuisine every time. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel like you are truly immersed in a fine dining experience!

    Martini in a perfect glass

Best thing to happen to Lake Oconee. A divine dining experience. Brand new to the area they thought of every detail... It's a beautiful restaurant, complete with gorgeous glasses, perfect for my martini... cutlery is first class Food is on another level for this area. The menu is short and sweet. We ordered the focaccia bread, and the Burrata cheese to start. It was perfect I ordered the grouper, it is a nice portion with cucumbers and fresh tomato. Very light delicious My husband ordered the bar steak. It was cooked perfectly and Rich and delicious. The sides were the Brussels and the fries which are sweet server Taylor suggested... She was right they were great They must have for the evening is the desert the salted brownie. It is exceptional. We'd loved everything about the place highly recommend

"A gem of exquisite cuisine and service nestled in the Lake Oconee Reynolds area." OMG!!!! YES!!!! That's all I could say for the first bites of each dish we ordered. A group of six of us went for dinner and we loved it so much we went back for brunch! Let me preface this with saying that I spent nine years traveling all over the country and part of my job was (and is) "wining and dining" healthcare executives and surgeons. I've also lived in NYC, Chicago, San Diego, Los Angles, and West Palm Beach (which means I know what excellent food and service should be, as do the other two couples we were with....the bar is always set VERY high). First of all, the ambiance is amazing! The proprietors bring a mixture of the Chicago excellence to the southern charm of Greensboro, GA in a perfect harmony of colors, textures, smells, and visual graphics. The service is also Forbes 5 star in my opinion. Between John and Geoff (the owners) and the incredible staff they have, you feel like you've walked into your "locals spot" even on your first visit, but with a "we plan to earn your business every single time" attitude. If you can, go with a group so you can share a lot of options (dine family style). We HIGHLY recommend the Tomahawk steak to share as a starter or as part of your main. The fancy curly fries are a must, and quite honestly every dish our group had at dinner was a winner. For brunch try the Smashburger, pancakes, and ALL the sauces. My friends and I plan to come back here since we had such a great stay at the Ritz at Lake Oconee down the road and want to come back to enjoy the resort again. I HIGHLY suggest making advance reservations at Table at the Lake a few times if you're here for more than 4 days.

Eliminate the mandatory 4% tip for the kitchen on top of the regular gratuity. Food was good but cocktails were small

Each time I stopped in, the atmosphere was energetic, casual, and welcoming. I felt completely comfortable dining alone. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without constantly interrupting my meal. I was especially impressed by how involved the management was. The general manager actively worked the room, assisted the staff, and took time to speak with guests instead of remaining behind the scenes. The chicken Parmesan was excellent. The breaded chicken was crisp outside but still tender and juicy, with a savory marinara and just enough melted cheese. The pasta was cooked properly, and the accompanying garlic bread was crunchy around the edges while remaining soft inside. The generous serving provided plenty of leftovers. The strawberry basil margarita was refreshing and well balanced, with enough fruit flavor to be interesting without becoming overly sweet. For dessert, the peanut butter pie had a wonderfully smooth, creamy texture and a rich flavor that never felt excessive. The onion ring tower is also worth ordering, especially for a group. The rings are thick, crispy, well seasoned, and clearly prepared fresh. It would be far too much for most solo diners, so plan to share. Although the restaurant is not directly on the waterfront, the patio and some tables offer views of Lake Oconee. There is ample free parking, and the regular live music and special events add to the lively local atmosphere. Lake Oconee Bistro has earned a place on my list whenever I return to the area.
