We came here for dinner and had made a reservation for 2 people a few weeks prior. It was wide open at the time, but was pretty full as the time got closer. We decided last minute to join some friends who already had a reservation so they canceled ours and added us to our friends with no issue. It was hard to understand why the reservation system showed little availability as the restaurant was half empty. May be they were short staffed. We were seated in their fully enclosed patio at a low table (there were high tops as well). Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and offered up the specials from memory. We started with the focaccia, which I highly recommend! Everyone at our table thought it was the best they've had. It came with a whipped ricotta and olive tapenade, both of which were excellent! For my entree, I had the carnivora pizza which was perfectly cooked. Thin and slightly crunchy, there were not a ton of toppings that overwhelmed the crust, which was good in this case. The calabrian chiles gave it a nice kick and made the meal for me! My only issue was that they got my leftovers mixed up so when I opened them the next morning, it was not my food! read more

This restaurant is located in the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Oconee. My colleague and I decided to have dinner inside due to the weather, and we were so glad we chose this place. We started our meal with a few appetizers--meatballs--and initially opted for the focaccia bread. Then we changed our minds and decided to try the pizza since everyone raved about how good it was. Best decision ever. Swapping the focaccia for the pizza was absolutely worth it. pizza crust was perfectly crisp yet light, and we ordered a meat-lovers-style pizza that was absolutely delicious. We ate two slices each and had to send the rest back because we left it on the table--otherwise, we would've eaten the whole thing.At that point we were full, and we could've asked for the check, but where's the fun in that? Instead, we decided to split a pasta dish, which turned out to be the perfect portion. The pasta was delicious, the sauce was amazing, and by then we were officially too full to eat anything else. We stayed in the hotel, so my husband and I took our pizza to go and we sat out by the lake, enjoyed the fire pit and then made some s'more's ! I highly recommend doing so. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As per the restaurant I recommend the pizza and skip the pastas. I will say the staff went above and beyond when some of our food came out long after our pizza. It made up for the entire mixup on our to-go order. The restaurant itself is lovely- beautiful setting, nice view of the lake. We also had breakfast here every morning during our stay. Amazing! This is by far the best Italian food at lake Oconee. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Our server, Anna, could not have been more helpful and attentive. The bolognese and lobster/scallop pasta were delicious. Don't be afraid to go because it's in the Ritz. We had an appetizer, salad, 2 entrees, and 2 glasses of wine each and the total was $150! Beautiful dinner spot at the Ritz! There's indoor seating, bar seating and outdoor seating in their heated patio that overlooks the lake. Great variety of Italian dishes. The concierge told us they didn't have any reservations for the evening but we went to the restaurant around 7pm and they had plenty of tables open so definitely stop in even if you can't get a reservation! Great for breakfast too - $35 dollar buffet or you can order specific entrees off the menu. read more

Service is suuuper slow. We couldn't get a reservation until 8:15 and yet there was still a more than 10 minute wait to get seated. Plenty of open tables I guess they just aren't staffed properly. After being seated, we promptly placed our orders, but did not get our main dishes until about 9:30 pm, at which point my 4 year old had already fallen asleep. Fortunately appetizers had arrived a little past 9, so she had eaten some of that. The servers were kind, and our waitress Natalie brought my older child - 7 years old, a blanket while she was waiting for the food to arrive. The food was all really delicious! I'm glad it was freshly prepared, but it was a long wait late at night when we were hungry. They did have kids' menus and perhaps those items would have arrived faster, but we like our kids to have more variety in their food. All our dishes are great: - pulpo (grilled octopus; tender, flavorful) - fritto misto (fried calamari, shrimp, and zucchini - even the kids loved it) - riggatoni bolognese (family favorite between my husband, daughter, and me) - linguini with lobster (I loved it, but it was a little spicy for my daughter) My pear cocktail was also really delicious and a good portion that lasted me the 1 hour wait to appetizers. I recommend getting an earlier reservation here and being prepared for a lengthy and relaxing dinner. read more

We were seated on Amore's patio that over looks their peaceful courtyard. Amore's restaurant offered a breakfast buffet or Ala Carte select items to choose from the menu at a reasonable price. I ordered their breakfast classic, Eggs, Bacon, Wheat Toast, Breakfast Potatoes paired with a cup of Amore's delightful roasted Decaf coffee. It was the perfect breakfast. Outstanding menu with a great variety of delectable meals enjoyed by all. Drink menu is a little pricey but the food makes up for it. The LINGUINE FRA'DIAVOLO (spicy pink lobster ragu, basil, lemon crumbs) was amazing each time we've visited along with the CARINIVORA pizza. Both have a good spice to them and taste delicious. You'll find a troublesome menu here. This newly revised version of the old Georgia's restaurant at the Ritz Carlton at Reynolds Plantation is now Italian. About the menu: first, the menu does not even say to the name of the restaurant, not on the front nor the back. Odd? Then, on the breakfast menu, most people will find quite a lot of words that they don't know: stracchino, padron, tramezzino, piadina, shirred eggs, bresaola and more. I would highly suggest to the manager that underneath the Italian, or in parentheses beside it, they explain every last one of these words to their clientele. Further, I have taken three or four semesters of college Italian, and I still did not know at least half of these words. Imagine the average American? You will have to ask so many questions about the menu. And then there is the issue that a couple of things are not even on the menu! Where is the juice? You don't have orange juice or grapefruit juice on your breakfast menu? They do, but it's not listed. So you don't know that they have it, you don't know the price. And then they offer an omelette, but it's not on the menu! I really don't think they are helping themselves with their menu. The egg white frittata I did order was tasty, but I guess I was a little bit surprised by the fact that it said it came with parmigiano, and apparently what that meant was a little sprinkle of same. First and foremost, the pizzas were amazing. Everything we ordered was great including the bolognese, salads and focaccia bread. All the regular tables were spoken for so we sat at the pizza bar and both of the gentleman making the pizzas were very friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our pizzas (again, which were amazing). Our server was attentive and boxed up the little we hadn't eaten to take back to the room, which made a great snack later that night. The next morning we ate breakfast and sat on the covered porch which had great ambiance with all the indoor water features.
