I really wish whoever maintains the pinball machines does it more frequently. Location machines are always a challenge to upkeep though and understand the challenges with allocating parts, especially for the older machines. Some machines had bad flippers, unresponsive targets, and overly touchy tilt. That I can understand and deal with. My main gripe is that nearly every machine was setup in a hard lean and out of level. I don't know if this is intentional or out of inexperience with pinball machines. Some of the pinball machine legs weren't touching the floor on some games. Super fun atmosphere though. I can see this being a prime spot for northern Texas pinball tournaments if the owner spends some TLC on them. The bartender was super sweet and social to make sure you feel welcomed. I'd recommend for a fun date night but wouldn't go if you're really into pinball. The arcades on the other hand were kept super clean with no sticky buttons. The pool tables have plenty of room to play without stepping over other groups. Bathrooms were also very clean! All machines and pool tables take US quarters along with top notch coin changers available.

They have Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega consoles (Genesis, CD, etc.) and even newer stuff like Playstation 2 and up, XBox, Wii. They have everything from the old games themselves to the console to play them on and all the periphery (controllers, memory cards, etc.). Prices were very reasonable. They accept trades and also do buys. A motto displayed on the signage for this store is "Buy, Sell, Trade almost anything of value" and they mean it. You could walk in with an antique lamp and walk out with a Nintendo console with the works. If it's worth something, they'll entertain a buy offer or trade-in for store credit. They also do disc resurfacing which is very important for we flea market skimmers (discs typically scratched). Talk to Brian, the owner. He's likely the biggest guy anywhere in that store the majority of them time. Looks like Penn Jillette of the magicians "Penn & Teller" (or does Penn look like Brian?). He's super friendly, always willing to try to gain a new loyal customer by trying to get you exactly what you're looking for, and (Pro Tip!) if you're buying quite a bit of stuff at one time (like $100+), he'll totally cut you a nice discount... he did for me! Like a pawn shop, the inventory changes on a daily basis. So, even if he doesn't have your favorite game today, tell him what you're looking for, and it may just show up. Things (even really rare games) just walk in off the street to be sold or traded-in here. Oh, and I didn't even really get into all the contemporary, not-your-grandmother's boardgames they carry, the vintage toys (StarWars, He-Man, generation 1 Transformers, etc. - many new in the packages), and comic books. It's really just a nerd's paradise. Loved this store.

It is very dusty and dirty with a gross coat of grime on the items. The store is cluttered and unorganized making it difficult to find items of interest. There are hazards everywhere including random boxes of merchandise (Skylanders) in the middle of walking areas. It's very difficult to find help with making a purchase & the staff is rude and indifferent if you make a purchase or sell items or not. I was insulted by a staff member for asking when they would be buying gaming items. It was my mistake for visiting this store multiple times with the same experience. I love supporting local businesses but Game Quest has no business being in business. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt unless management cleans house. Figuratively & literally.

They have moved and the climbing portion of this is tiny - one climbing wall, one bouldering wall. I'm not the best climber but I enjoy it and have my own gear. Walking in there as both not a child or professional climber with my own stuff, it was incredibly awkward. The staff guy was pretty uncomfortable too. He gave us the "tour" and didn't mention any restrictions on belaying and saw the ATC in my hand but when we went to top rope he came over and scolded us about not having asked him and getting approved as if I was supposed to know. Then he mentioned that "plenty of their climbers have equipment too, so..." ...ok? After that little interaction, the noisiness, the complete lack of other climbers except a bunch of children coming over for a single climb - it just wasn't fun.

I did skim the other reviews before writing my own, just out of curiosity, and it looks like not much has changed. A review I read that was written in 2011 pretty much summed up what I experienced last night. Last night was the first time I've been here. What with traveling and all, I had never seen the latest POTC movie and was tickled to find out they were playing it. I don't need to see movies as soon as they come out. Nobody would be impressed if I did. LOL. Nobody cares what movies I watch. So this is a great theater to come to for cheap to see a movie that's been out for a while. Also, if you like a movie well enough to see it twice, here you can afford it. The picture was great. The sound was great. The seat wasn't that comfortable but I'm old so most seats aren't. I was kind of surprised the popcorn prices were so high. There's a cheap theater I go to in my daughter's area in Arizona that charges $3 a movie and about five bucks for the biggest tub including a refill. Plus if the concession stand is closed when the movie ends they will let you bring your bag back the next time to get your refill, which is nice. Since I usually go to movies that get out at 10 or so then I almost always get to bring my bag back the next time which means I only buy popcorn every other time. I asked a guy here about that with this one but he said no. I bought the $7.50 size and wasn't able to finish it. The $8.50 size would have filled my bathtub. It would be great if you had people to share it with but I didn't. One thing I will comment on was that the flavor of the popcorn and the buttery topping were both great. There's nothing more disappointing than to get your popcorn, go into the theater, start nibbling on it and find out it has an off flavor or that the butter isn't any good. I've had that happen so I really appreciate a good popcorn. All in all, the movie with a pretty good-sized popcorn was under $10 so I won't complain about that. The location is convenient. My only real complaint is that I didn't allow enough time for their slow slow line. I had just enough time to get my popcorn and head into the theater but I probably spent at least 10 minutes in the line. There was one guy that didn't seem to be doing much. They could have opened a second line but they choose not to do that. I know I wasn't the only person to get into my movie late because the people ahead of me were asking about it too. The girl's response was, oh it's still in the previews. The young man said, But I like watching the previews. I thought to myself, So do I.
