One of my go to spots in Cancun! It's not cheap but who cares. Steaks are great, services is usually great though it depends on where you sit unfortunately, drinks are , and the views and shows are fantastic. I always bring people here to impress and have a great time.

Had such a great time here! The food was fantastic as well as the service. I got the seafood risotto, but we were so full off of appetizers, I had to take it back to the hotel. There was live music and a DJ as well, which was my favorite. The drinks were good as well. The restaurant was beautiful and over looking the water which made for great pictures. I will absolutely be back.

Came to celebrate my niece and I's birthday. This was her choice. Although beautiful inside, it's really dark. If you don't like eating in the dark, may not be for you unless you come early. It is a bit pricey and gives trendy spot so that could add to the price. The ambiance is beautiful. I would come back and have a drink just to feel the breeze. I don't have to eat here again though.

Really good food but the shittiest Service ever. It took 20 minutes to get water we order three lychee martinis 2 came out the 3rd took over 30 minutes after the first 2 came out they kept saying that there's a lot of people here because a buy out then why accept reservations very unacceptable. So many damn excuses and gave only 3 pieces of pita bread for a spread of humus. The ambiance but that's about it and the food was pretty but not waiting over an hour for it good. We spent $400 dollars for 3 people the server was nice but the management should've not accepted any reservations especially if there is over 200 people for some stupid insurance event..... fuck you rick Alton

A popular and lively spot to dine for dinner and especially if you're celebrating a birthday or bachelorette. They are extravagant and presenting shots and their steak when they fire it up. They have a DJ and live musical instruments like saxophone and violin shows during dinner. It definitely turns into a show and can get loud. They have tons of drink options. Their fired up steak was popular, I felt like their paella was a little salty. We made a reservation ahead of time and it was very lively a little pricey and the bathrooms are nice! Service took a little long during the show but everyone was really nice.

Its was amazing!!!! The food, the vibe, the ENERGY!!! And hands down best service ever, even fancier restaurants with Michelin starts - never give that service- its like they was readying your mind! Beef carpaccio, spicy shrimp, octopus- every dish was great, i picked yellow tail tuna with cavira- the freshness and quality was great- just remember its Very fatty and more on fishy side; tried -3 of there cocktails- one was made table side!!! We was there celebrating our anniversary and happened to be Taboos -6 year anniversary - so the evening was spectacular; live the DJ, live music, ; one more time- the Service was best ever!!! Great stuff and the way they work and have fun!!!

This was the only place we went to eat outside of our resort. We all really enjoyed the ambiance and upbeat vibe. There was great music playing and plenty of people dancing. All the servers were nice and made you feel a part of the culture, adding to the atmosphere. The food also looked of the highest quality. It tasted pretty good as well, but the presentation made it even better. We probably could have gotten more bang for our buck elsewhere in terms of food, but the experience was worth it.

10 out of 10 every time I go! It was so good I go. It was so good I made a reservation to come back next month! The food and service top tier! The vibe is great for date night or girls night out!

Great atmosphere! Food was good but nothing knocked my socks off! Service was also good! We met friends and stayed for a couple drinks after dinner to listen to the music and watch the musicians. It's a really beautiful restaurant and would recommend stopping by even if it's only for a drink and appetizer

Beautiful experience but this restaurant is fun , upbeat and immaculate customer service. I gave it a 4 cause we didn't like anything we ordered. No offense to the restaurant cause I know people obviously love it here but they may be like me. I would come back for the experience, drinks and atmosphere. I'd even recommend others to Go.

Amazing food and even better food! The ambiance is such a vibe, so lively and fun. Michael was an incredible server and made sure we had the best time. Highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a blend of nightlife and fantastic fine dining.

The ambience is beautiful. The service is amazing. My food was absolutely delicious.. This place is a 10/10 . I wish we had one here in Las Vegas!

vibes are amazing and food so great! to this day i still think of this pasta because it was actual perfection. the mashed potatoes, crab cakes (not pictured), and drinks (not pictured) were all so good as well. on top of the great food and drinks you get to watch shows throughout the night making this more an experience rather than just a restarunt. this place was definitely on the pricier side, but so worth every penny.

We started with the hummus and pita bread and the beef carpaccio. The hummus was really good and easily the standout appetizer. The beef carpaccio was okay, but it was kind of bland and didn't have a lot going on. For our entrees, I ordered the Pollo al Vino Tinto, which was a red wine chicken served over mashed potatoes. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. My girlfriend ordered the Andalusian-style beef roast with creamy rice, and that was excellent as well. Both entrees were easily the highlight of the meal. The desserts were a different story. The baklava tasted more like a really hard churro than traditional baklava. We also tried the rum fritters and another dessert that was basically a cream puff sitting in a thin sauce. None of the desserts were bad, but they were definitely disappointing compared to the main courses. We sat on the patio, which had a mild ocean view, although it was mostly a palm tree frond view from where we were seated. The bigger issue was the service. It wasn't very busy, but it felt like we were forgotten at times. I think we only saw our server about three times during the entire meal. Despite the inconsistent service and underwhelming desserts, the excellent entrees and really good hummus made this a solid dinner and a good way to start the trip. I would eat here again.

Every bite of the Eggs Benedict was decadent. The eggs were perfectly poached, and I appreciated that they weren't drowning in hollandaise. The French Toast caught me by surprise because I was expecting it to be somewhat crunchy when, in actuality, it had a super soft and squishy texture that instantly melted in my mouth. The views, food, and service were all amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

This wasn't just another meal; it was a culinary journey, a deliberate rebellion against the beige mediocrity of resort dining. Our quartet, each seeking a unique escape, found solace in the artistry of Fantino's kitchen. The evening began with a delicate amuse-bouche, a tantalizing promise of what was to come. One of us savored the rich, earthy flavors of a mushroom pasta, each bite a symphony of umami that danced on the palate. Another reveled in the tender, perfectly seared filet, accompanied by seasonal vegetables that tasted like they'd been plucked from a sun-drenched garden that very morning. For the seafood lover among us, the grilled Mediterranean fish was a revelation - flaky, moist, and kissed by a whisper of the sea. The vegetarian of the group found nirvana in a vibrant, fresh salad, bursting with local produce and dressed with an olive oil so pure, it could have been a religious experience. Throughout the meal, the live piano music played a soft, elegant backdrop, elevating the ambiance to one of understated luxury. The service, seamless and unobtrusive, felt like a perfectly choreographed ballet. Each dish arrived with a narrative, a story of the chef's passion and meticulous attention to detail. In the end, it wasn't just the escape from the resort that we cherished, but the discovery of a place where food transcended mere sustenance and became art. Fantino didn't just feed us; it nourished our souls, reminding us that true culinary adventures lie beyond the safety of the all-inclusive. Good food is very often, even most often, simple food. And here, in the heart of Cancun, simplicity met sophistication in the most delightful of ways.

Better than Hakka at Oleo!…read more (By the way, all restaurants at Oleo are for hotel guests only since it's All-Inclusive) My family and I had the best dining experience at Almar. The food, service, and ambiance is the best among the other restaurants in Oleo. (We're from Los Angeles so I've eaten lots of Japanese food there and my parents lived in Tokyo for many, many years...we just didn't think Hakka was the standout as opposed to the many travelers who says otherwise. Maybe it has changed?) By the way, make sure to reserve! You can get lucky and reserve on the same day. It's also a pity that this place is only open for dinner. They have fantastic views for the ocean and so maybe a 6 or 7pm reservation will have the sun still out. Otherwise it's pitch black outside. Drinks are great. Seems the same as other restaurants but the pina colada w/o alcohol is actually a slushie, which was super soft to the tongue! Now as for food...it's important to note that it's not technically a buffet BUT you can order multiple appetizers and entrees if you'd like. Appetizers: I recommend the Tomato Cream (soup) and Skewers. They're so fabulously fresh and seasoned. But be sure to try out other appetizers! I tried beef carpaccio for the first time and I thought it was great! Not overly salty, but tasty and tender. Entrees: I have to admit the Chef's creation of the day, which I tried on two separate days, were average. These were lasagna and Spinach Ravioli. It wasn't packed with a whole lot of flavor and seasoning. But, I could tell the pasta itself was fresh! Do consider the fish dishes like Catch of the day or salmon. We had beautifully seared and seasoned Mahi Mahi with vegetables that weren't bland as well. I myself haven't tried the salmon but it looked awesome when the other table had it. Desserts: Chocolate lava cake with the fruit at the bottom was amazing. The apple pie is too sweet for my taste, but it's definitely the traditional American apple pie sweetness. Though they've prepared it differently by having the apple portion showing on the top that was sitting on a thin crust at the bottom. Lastly service is fantastic. Servers like to strike a conversation with you and it's not pushy or unnatural. Our main server was wonderful! I forgot his name but it starts with a N and I took a picture with him. Thanks lad!
