My absolute most favorite restaurant in Playa del Carmen (visited several days in a row). Conveniently located just a block or so from 5th, and just steps from the beach. Checked it our while on vacation with a Greek friend and she confirmed they are indeed legit! The service was attentive and friendly. Owner seated at a table nearby, he's even been known to serve the saganaki. Huge shot out to my fave waiter Joaquin. The food was fresh, bursting with flavor and well paced. I highly recommend the Greek salad (two on the menu - both are awesome), sampler of Greek dips, gyro, and chicken kebabs. Also the baklava was sweet and tasty! Saganaki was a miss for my pal and I so I recommend skipping that - tho we do typically love that appetizer). Definitely a must when you want some thing flavorful, healthy, and refreshing on a hot day. read more

This is a great looking, full ambiance restaurant setup. The service was good but the main course was kind of average in taste. The Cab wine and the Spinach Salad was spectacular though! I've been to a lot of Mediterrean restaurants and this one just wasn't up to par. read more

This place goes by two names to clear up any confusion, it is both Milo's & Mykonos. We arrived right around the time they must have been opening as they were still setting up some things & we were not greeted for awhile despite the employees speaking to each other right in front of us, which was a little strange. However, the service after that was delightful. Our waitress was very kind and attentive & even offered to switch our table when it began to rain (even though we were unaffected since the patio was covered) which was kind since we were pretty much done with our meal. I am picky about Gyros, and a huge fan of Greek food. So I would give this Gyro a 7.5/10. Which means I would come back, especially since I haven't found a decent Gyro at home. (The gyro was 220 pesos, $12 USD) For it's size and just a tiny handful of fries, it could've been less expensive. The Feta appetizer was incredible. 9/10. (180 pesos, $10 USD) Just needed more pita to come with it, but luckily we ordered bread that appeared to be bottomless (she brought us two baskets full) for only 25 pesos ($1.20 USD). We finished our meal and opted to try a delicious Baklava, one of the best I've ever had for $130 pesos ($7 USD) which I would also rate 9/10. Keep in mind this place is self-titled as "slow food" because it is fresh, but we were in and out in maybe 45 minutes tops. I would come back just to "snack" like this again, as the other entree menu items prices were too high for me. Absolutely the best Greek food I've ever had, and I live in NY, I've been to Greece. We checked it out because it was across the street from the resort, and we heard the live entertainment. The service was great, fast and friendly. The owner keeps a close watch on everything, he seems strictly business with his serious face, but when you make eye contact the warm welcoming smile comes out. We went back a couple days later and enjoyed the food better than the top shelf restaurant on the resort. I will travel back to Playa Del Carmen again in my lifetime just to eat here again. read more

Had my eye on this spot since it's right outside our resort-Mahekal & looking for some yummy lunch. Wow!!!!! I was blown away by the lemon fish entree with beets and farrow. Love it so much that I'm going to have to go again in one day! It's flaky but oh so tender and flavorful. Lemon zesty, tangy with perfect seasoning. Falafel, Greek meatballs and chicken gyro were also very good! Update: Came back again the next day for the lemon fish and tried the dolmas-these were the best I've had. Wonderful place! Friendly Greek owner. Even a fellow . I had the usual Greek Salad and Lamb chops. It was perfect and hit the spot. Location is right off the beach, great atmosphere, and excellent display of Greek colors. There was a Fantastic Spanish acoustic guitar player which was rock'n and excellent entertainment. Some youngsters even started to dance. It was really a fun no pressure evening there. I will definitely return. read more

A Greek restaurant in Mexico, please note I wasn't the person picking the restaurant that day. The food was OK, the chicken with lemon (Chicken Pericles) was too salty and would have been better if it had been pounded thinner. The hummus was OK. Not many gluten free or vegetarian options. The worst part was the sheer amount of mosquitos, most of the seating is outdoors. There are better choices in Playa Del Carmen. read more

We stayed in the shishi resort across the street. We couldn't imagine being in Yucatan and choosing a greek restaurant. Our last night we did and are we thrilled! The eggplant sandwich is 2 eggplant slices with a yummy reddish sauce over some potato melange. My friend and I came to eat at the restaurant for lunch, we were the only people there at the time. The food took extremely long to prepare, I would say around 45 - 50 minutes of wait. The quality of the food was bad-mediocre at best. I had asked for extra tzaziki sauce while again, the waiter took 5-10 minutes to bring it. It doesn't end here, while trying to pay with a credit card, the place had no internet signal? or some sort of problem. The waiter had asked me to join him to the to the cashier area to try to get signal and charge the card. What amazed me the most, is within the 5 minutes of trying back and fourth to get signal and charge the card, the owner did not give a damn! he was just sitting there and telling his employee to keep trying. Finally I've had enough, had my friend pay in cash and left the place. I will never come back to this place and would like to warn others from it. Total disaster. read more

I ordered the tuna steak, which came like a round frozen patty. The inside was cold (clearly it was frozen first). It came in a sauce that I can only describe as honey mustard salad dressing (grossly sweet). I told them it was cold and they brought it back as a piece of rubber (I took one bite and spit it out, as it was not chewable). We order the calamari appetizer, which was tiny crumbs of calamari that had been friend several times, it was far more fried coating than actual squid, and a ridiculously tiny portion. My friends had gyros, which they were less than impressed with. The only thing good about this place is the decor. They should be ashamed to call this Greek food. read more

This was the find of our 20th trip to Playa. My wife is part Greek and I always loved my mother in law's cooking too, so we know something about great Greek food. The dried-out, over-cooked chicken had fake orange cheese melted on top of it and it was suppose to be feta?? It was actually shocking to get served something so gross. It belonged in a 70's cookbook. My friends food was also overcooked fish. On top of that, the waiter (the taller one) was completely disinterested in serving us after we ordered glasses of water and only one glass of wine. He was so rude and unfriendly. I have no idea how this place stay open but I'll never go again and I'm warning everyone I know. Nasty food, nasty service. One star for the view. That's it. read more

Food was decent, but service was pretty bad. Saginaki (flaming cheese) was bad. Took a long time to get our food. It appeared that the owner/manager was present, but he just sat in the bar smoking and drinking. When we asked for the "cuenta", the waiter calculated the total on the bill by hand and took about 20 minutes to do it. The worst meals I've had in Playa. We ordered the fish of the day. I asked if it was fresh or frozen. The server lied and said the fish was fresh and delivered that same morning. It was absolutely disgusting, it was not edible (they still charged us for it.) The mussels were previously frozen and half of them came broken. Just wasted $40 on nothing! Stay away!!!! Covid or not, it must have been the worst Greek food I I ever had and the service.was terrible. I'm not a complainer but I can't imagine how in a Greek restaurant, the menu was supposed to be feta cheese for my Greek chicken instead they just slathered Cheese Whiz on it and it was overcooked that it was very stringy. We were looking for a change in cuisine and found Milos on Yelp. Nice location and decor. Service was excellent. The appetizers were great (octopus!) and I was surprised by how good the Greek salad was. Why the three stars you ask? Well, maybe my expectations were set too high from the aforementioned courses but the main dishes fell short. I was especially disappointed with chicken Pericles, which was especially unappetizing. The meal was not cheap either, being the most expensive Restaurant yet I have tried in La Playa. Bottom line: if you are craving for Greek food it is definitely a place to get your fix, but just don't expect your socks to be blown off. read more

Our first was last November and it was very good. We returned with friends and had a disappointing dinner. We ordered several appetizers and were served one at a time. The grape leaf appetizers were very good, but all grilled meat dishes were charred, dry and over-done including the octopus appetizer. The fish tacos were sparse as well. The owner also told us we could pay with credit card so we ordered a second bottle of wine. When it came time to pay, his system was not working. It was an inconvenience and we would not have ordered another bottle. We told the owner about the over done food and he brought us ONE dessert no charge. All in all, Avery mediocre restaurant. Considering the many available good choices in PDC, we won't be back to this restaurant. By the way, our neighbors are from Greece so we know good Greek food. read more

Simply good Greek food for a fair price by all standards. Gyros could have had slightly more meat(used to American stuffed gyros) so maybe order double meat. Good service and atmosphere.
