I went in with neck pain that prevented me from doing daily things that I had been struggling with for weeks. Brenden helped immensely within days. I choose Mitchell Physical Therapy because they were so close to my home, making it easy on me to drive there and, they are on my insurance plan. Brendan Thompson was my therapist and I can't say enough good things about this young man. He listened to me when it hurt really bad, came up with solutions so my pain level was tolerable and got me through each session as I needed too. There were a few times I had to cancel because the 32 staples were hurting really bad and after the removal I had some bleeding as well. The staff and Brenden understood my problem and worked with me on setting up more appointments to finish out my prescription. When I had completed my physical therapy, Brenden made sure I took home exercises to do that will help keep my knee limber and eventually bend 110%. I only got as far a 97%. I will be using Mitchell's again when I have my right knee done this year.

I have had a great experience at Pedal PT. Kevin and Brian were able to resolve a number of issues…read morefor me over several months: - Hand pain while biking and while typing. - Knee pain while biking and while sitting. - Headaches related to computer use and ergonomics. - Back pain related to computer use and ergonomics. - Extremely poor ankle mobility. Something I especially appreciated is that on top of treating you, they educate you as well. This has been really helpful to me. I feel like I understand why the things I've done have caused pain and why various stretches and exercises mitigate that pain. It's the old "teach a man to fish" thing. Now that I "know how to fish", I'm well positioned to avoid hurting myself in the future and to make various tweaks to the stretches and exercises to help me get the results I want. I feel a little silly acknowledging this now, but before going to Pedal PT I thought that the various forms of pain I was experiencing while biking or doing computer work were "just part of getting older" and "something I just need to deal with". I understand now that this is not the case. Small adjustments to your bike or to the ergonomics of your computer usage will often make the discomfort go away. And if not, there are usually stretches and exercises you could do to heal. As someone who bikes everywhere and uses a computer 10+ hours a day, I am extremely glad that I took the time to address the issues I was having, and I'm extremely grateful to Pedal PT for their help.

Dr. Susan Schmidt has literally changed my life in powerful and profound ways. Dr. Schmidt and her…read moreteam are efficient and kind. Dr. Schmidt is one of the most gifted, brilliant, intuitive, and compassionate healers I ever have had the great good fortune to work with. I was referred to Dr. Schmidt a few months ago by my physical therapist because of an extremely painful and debilitating recurring "shoulder and neck freeze." This would last for a week and was so painful, preventing me from being able to hardly move at all, much less work. I had neck surgery last July, and my PT felt this all was somehow connected, and that I needed swift and immediate intervention to prevent lifelong debilitating pain patterns via my new network of nerves that were being patterned as they formed post-surgery. This could be a whole book, but I'll just add this. Not only did Dr. Schmidt put a halt to the neck/shoulder freezes, she also completely reversed (yes completely) moderate to severe carpal tunnel syndrome in one arm, and reduced it in the other arm from constant pain and numbness that seriously interfered with my sleep and functioning to a mild annoyance. No more arm braces at night! She has also improved my overall energy, mobility and flexibility throughout my entire body, and it feels as though the healing in my neck has really moved forward. I have regained my positive attitude about my future, and know that I still can do some of those things I thought I'd missed, like hang-gliding, horseback riding, and learning to play my bass. I highly recommend Dr. Schmidt and her methods, even though you might find them unfamiliar. We are so lucky to have her in our midst.
