(3/5)
* Modern sushi…read morespot with some Japanese-inspired décor. Bar area with Japanese liquors displayed when you walk in. Table seating only; no booths.
* Menu is accessed by scanning a QR code. Personally, I prefer a physical menu so I can see everything at once instead of being on my phone during dinner.
* Service was slow with only one waitress working. Long waits for drinks, ordering, and follow-up service.
* Lemonade was disappointing--very bitter and tasted more like watered-down lemon juice.
* Sushi rolls looked good and were decent overall.
* Udon bowl was huge but only filled about - 1/2 of the way. Portion size didn't match the price. Taste was okay, but the kid said hes had way better. The fish cakes were definitely the highlight.
* Tempura was good, but I was disappointed because the menu description led me to expect something different than what was served.
* Spicy salmon hand roll was just okay.
* After mentioning confusion about my order, our waitress never checked back, refilled drinks, or followed up with our table.
* Asked about available discounts (military, AAA, etc.) and was quickly told no before I could finish asking.
* Best part of the evening? The adorable baby at the table next to us who provided the only entertainment.
Overall: The food was average with a few highlights, but the slow and inattentive service significantly impacted the experience. We still left a tip, but unfortunately, I don't think we'd rush back.
