Famous Falafel Wrap with spinach wrapper and no turnip
    Amanda F.

Very surprising cafe inside a grocery store in a gas station! Huge focus on healthy and fresh options. The somewhat loud (middle eastern?) music was a nice vibe in the middle of the day! Fiancé got some variation of the lamb shawarma platter and it looked pretty good. Date smoothie was really tasty but a little too chunky for my taste, I just would have blended it longer lol

We came here to try a new restaurant we never had out. However, when we drove up, we realized it was inside a gas station so don't get fooled by this. When you walk in, the store becomes a large market inside the store of middle eastern stuff. Lebenah, garlic, olives, spices, teas, tahini etc. This place has it all. We ended up ordering food from the restaurant inside the store. My wife ended up getting a plate with chicken, lamb and kafta. She also got kibitz, hummus and pita, and my dad got a chicken soup. Also had falafel plate. The plate was good. Nothing overly spiced but good. Lamb was moist but needed more spices. The kefta was good. Kibitz was good. Not dry and and taste. The falafel plate was ok. Outside she'll was crunchy. But the inside was mush. Kinda a let down. Sauce was a tahini mix. A yogurt dip came with the kibitz. Hummus was good. Had a tahini taste to it but I like that. Garlic sauce we bought was sweet and almost tasted as if there was egg whites in it. Didn't say it on the ingredients but had that stickiness to it. Overall, solid food. Not great not the worst. The 4 score is about right. I will be back to shop.

We've been here a few times. Each visit has been on par with other reviews. My recent solo visit was just four stars. Not for quality of food. The falafel wrap ($6.99) featured crisp falafel exteriors with lettuce, cukes and pickled turnips with light tahini sauce in a pita flour wrap. Very good. A side salad was just okay and served with a dried herb oil and vinegar. My hang up is twofold: the inconsistent availability of menu items. Seems there are always selections that weren't prepared or they run out. So don't expect the craving you were having when you walked in, will be satisfied when you walk out. Second point was, this visit, the small dining area was not bussed. It seems I was there alone after the lunch crowd left. I had to clear an area to eat in. But on a happy ending, the two pieces of pistachio baklava ($4.69) from the cooler again did not disappoint. I'm better now.

It's only taken Super Cute Wife (SCW) and I 6 years to come here and wow, why did we take so long. I think for me it was simply some bias as it's in a gas station, but let me assure you this place is delicious. SCW got the Famous Falafel in a pita and I got the hummus and felafel in a pita. You also get a side which SCW chose a fresh tomato and tomato salad which I chose the carrot salad for my side. After ordering, pay, take a seat and they'll bring it to you when your order is ready. To the left of the cashier was fruit infused water and cups. The water was cold and very good. Our food was amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious. One thing I must note is the pita bread used for the wrap was incredibly thin yet strong and kept the flavor and the contents of the wrap inside easily. I enjoyed every bite of the wrap! The falafel was flavorful and moist without being wet. The flavors of the hummus came through and it wasn't salty like some can be. I had a few bites of SCW's Famous Falafel wrap and it was outstanding. Crisp, light flavors but hearty and filling. The service was great and the building (yes a gas station) is one of the only places in Martin County that is certified by their green building standards. Solar panels on top, efficient building materials and such attention to making a responsible green build just add so much to the experience for me. Please do yourself a favor and stop in.

Dine in or take out, isles of items to take home and make your own items or go to the refrigerator and grab a Togo box of premade grapeleaves, spanakopita, baklava, etc. I came for the kibbeh and was not disappointed! I love that they have the pine nuts in them where as a lot of places with kibbeh took them out. Deff recommend going if you are in the mood for some delicious authentic food!

Chicken Shawarma with Aleppo pepper spiced fries.

For what it is, Tabuleh cafe is the absolute best. This is made to order, quick service halal middle Eastern organic food in the middle of an organic convenience food store that is also a gas Sunoco gas station. It's in a green LEED certified building run by a sweet family. Everything is thoughtfully made including the crisp fries sprinkled with Aleppo pepper spice. You have in house pickled radish with thinly sliced pickles, shawarma that is spiced and cooked just right. Whether it's the hummus or yogurt sauce everything is bursting with flavor. They even have GF millet wraps. There's a smoothie menu but I'm in a happy routine alternating between the homemade falafel wrap and the chicken shawarma. I am a huge middle eastern fan, having grown up on Chicago's Pita Inn and Naperville's original Naf Naf grill. I am a hummus snob. Considering they import their own olive oil from the holy land, no surprise this is real deal territory. You can also grab some locally made desserts to go such as Kinafa. This is a quirky, mom and pop with authentic flavors. Get past the odd location and both your tummy and pocket book will be happy.

    You won't believe what's inside.

I've been told by many of my friends that I had to try Olympic Taverna for breakfast, especially to…read moretry their grits which, all have said are the best they've ever had. Now, I must admit that I have ridden past this restaurant many times on my e-bike rides but never thought about trying a Greek restaurant for breakfast. So, this week, I finally gave in and trudged off to give the place a try. The Ambiance: Cute European style restaurant that has a cozy yet chic setting. Bar seating, inside table seating and outside patio seating are all offered. I might mention that my outside table felt sticky. Not sure if this is the type of table or a table that needed to be cleaned. Either way it was an uncomfortable experience. Couldn't slide my dishes and my arm sleeve felt like it was sticking to the table. The Service: Although my server forgot the honey I requested for my tea and instead of inputting the WiFi password in my iPad, as requested, briskly told me the WiFi password (she thought), which it wasn't, the service, other than that, was efficient and provided with a smile. (NOTE: Another server was more than happy to input the password for me without a hesitation). I might also mention that my server served my unusual tea request (which so many servers get wrong) absolutely on the money without hesitation. This may not sound like a big deal but, for me, it most assuredly is. The Food: I ordered the Big Breakfast which consisted of two eggs (I chose over easy), two sausage links, two strips of bacon, I chose a biscuit as my bread offering and those "must have grits. Along with this dish I of course ordered my, always a challenge to get, English Breakfast tea with honey and "steamed" milk. Although as mentioned above, other than the honey, my server did bring my tea WITH steamed milk! Good start! Within a few minutes, my dish arrived. Everything was just as ordered. The over easy eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the biscuits came WITH extra butter. Unfortunately, the sausage was your little "standard" link sausage, the bacon was on the crisp side and the biscuit was good but a bit gummy. Now on to the big question,, how was those grits. I have to say, all my friends were right. Those grits were by far, the best grits I've ever had. Creamy, but not runny, needing only a dash of salt, they were so good, I took two orders of grits to go. The Bottom Line: My "Customer so what" would I come back? Although the rest of the meal was simply OK, for the grits alone, you bet I'd return.

I love Greek food, but this was the worst I've had ever in my life…read more The reviews are way too good compare to what you get. The falafel appetizer and tzatziki had no flavor at all. The chicken gyro seemed like no spices were used, i could not eat it. The greek salad was disappointing as well, with hardly any cucumber, or tomatoes. The server was kind and she also took out my dish from the bill. Overall, it didn't feel authentic at all, which was very disappointing.

It's a small place, with just 9 tables and an assortment of bar chairs inside, but there is lots of seating outside. We ordered the falafel appetizer. I'm used to a different flavor of falafel and crisper. These were okay, but I don't think I'll order them again. It did come with a nice selection of veggies and plenty of delicious sauce. We also tried the spinach pie appetizer, and it was generous and delicious, big thumbs up. Both of us ordered the gyro sandwich. One of us got fries the other a salad. The fries were good, well-seasoned, maybe could have been cooked a little more for my personal preference. The salad was a nice surprise, tasted great. Both were large portions. We both enjoyed the gyros, and they were also extra large. One of us took half of it home. We ordered takeout for tomorrow, and we aren't exactly sure what we ordered because it looked a little different when we got home and took it out of the bag. However, we are not that familiar with the menu (which is extensive), so maybe we didn't order what we thought, which was a trio that includes 2 sides (beans and a salad), spinach pie, moussaka, and pastitsio. It looks like the moussaka was missing. Service was good, portions extra large. We plan to return and will make sure we check with the server about what exactly we thinking we're ordering when it comes to the takeout, if we do that again. ETA: The takeout we took home was definitely missing the moussaka. The rest of it (pastitsio, pie, and beans) did not taste that good at all. We might give them another try, but we aren't in a hurry to return.

There was only one server for the entire dining room, but she absolutely nailed it--and did it all with a smile. We started with the saganaki, which was just okay. It was firm, not very hot, and still quite salty. I'm used to saganaki being served hot and melty on the inside, sometimes even flamed tableside. My husband ordered the Greek burger, a regular burger topped with feta. He felt there was a bit too much feta, but said the meat itself had good flavor. For his side, he chose the lemon rice soup--an unusual option, but one he enjoyed. I ordered the moussaka, which comes with two sides.
