We've been running around all day doing errands, and I really wanted to have a relaxed, healthy meal somewhere close to where we've been doing errands. We found this place on Yelp, of course, and saw the ratings. Took a quick look at the menu online and decided that there would be enough good lean protein and vegetables for me as well as other delectable dishes to satisfy G's desire for meat and potatoes. Port Barna has a lovely tapas menu as well as an extensive drinks menu. It's not often that you find a Sidecar and a Toasted Almond on the bar offerings list! I myself opted for a simple gin and tonic and I had about six types to choose from. I chose classic Bombay and was not disappointed. We had Steak Frites, and the Garlic Shrimp. Both came with a house salad. The salad was lovely; fresh and crisp with ripe red tomatoes, croutons, onions and a little bit of buffalo mozzarella topped with a classic oil and vinegar. Very nice. Both entrées were very generous in portion, and very good fare. This isn't a steakhouse but G's steak was quite nice, and my scrimps and veg were fabulous, perfectly seasoned with mild spice and an incredible portion. We were able to bring puppy dog onto the patio and it was surprising that we had the whole thing to ourselves on a Saturday evening. In addition to the great food and the great service it's a lovely place for people watching. We both enjoyed a relaxing evening sipping our cocktails, having great food, listening to good music and watching everybody come and go. Highly recommended, thank you Port Barna! read more

Better than I thought and yes, I know it's in the mall or should I say attached to the mall but it's totally worth the time. Really great options for draft beer, full bar really nice ambience and interior environment and the service was spectacular as well as the food. We had a couple of appetizers, including the sardines, hummus, one of the salads, but I will say the Panini looked amazing. Really healthy good for you and of course you can get items that aren't but it looked like most of the menu was fairly Mediterranean. Would absolutely go back especially for the happy hour! Food was reasonably priced appetizers were around $15, lunch specials were around $20 and it looks like dinners ran just a little bit more than that around 25. I want to say the draft beer was seven bucks and they had some drink specials around $12. read more

This is the first time I have tried this restaurant. I love tapas, but I was never really sure about this restaurant. However, on Friday I had to stop into the mall to get something and I decided that I would give this place a try. The bartender was very friendly and happy to answer any of my questions. They have a decent Happy Hour menu for drinks only. One thing on there were $6 mimosas. So I had to get one. Very good. I decided to try the Goat cheese & Kalamata plate. It was really delicious. It's small and I would love more olives. But the cheese was so fresh and easy to spread on the fresh baked bread slices. I'll definitely come back and try something else. Neat place. read more

I came for lunch to meet a friend. It was empty and our server was very attentive and diligent. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with the fries (the sauce has some heat, but delicious). The read was very good. It tasted a bit fishy and I'm not sure why. My friend had the Argento sandwich with salad and loved it. The Arroz com Leche served warm was delicious. One of our last stops before leaving the area. It was a bit of a drive and the drive app on yelp put us right at the Macy's store rather than in front of their restaurant. Had to call and get directions as to which and where it was. Once we arrived, the inside dining room was rather noisy so we sat on the patio. It is located in a large mall. Some of the patrons of the mall rather interesting as they traversed back and forth. Overall, the food was very good and our service was good as well. I was so excited when I saw this restaurant!! We couldn't wait to try their tapas and red Spanish or Portuguese wines. The wine from Spain was delicious. The tapas were a little weird because the garlic shrimp was good, but the mussels that were supposed to be in a white wine and garlic sauce, instead it had a tomato sauce. We also ordered the Kibbeh and that was awful. When you just cut into it, it smelled spoiled, rotten. It was gut wrenching. We told our waitress, she smelled it, made a disgusted face and when she came back she said the chef said they were fresh. She took off the bill, but still she really didn't need to add it was "fresh" when we all knew it was spoiled. I ordered a garlic shrimp entree and it came with a house salad. I think that was the best thing along with my sons pasta with tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was like homemade and delicious!! I don't think we will go back, and it's unfortunate because we. From the welcome greeting, the appetizers, the drinks, main course, and dessert was all a flavorful perfection from Chef Pablo and Dyllon. The menu itself was very diverse, a lot choices across the board. The drink menu gave us all the choices we desired. Their humble willingness to customize the food items per food allergies was greatly appreciated! The hand cut steak and pork chops were bursting with perfected spices and tender. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and the tiramisu which was homemade by Chef Pablos wife and it was delicate and exquisite. We definitely found a gem of a restaurant and will surely be back!! I give it four stars because our server was excellent and super friendly. I thought the food was just ok. I ordered the feta and olive appetizer and honestly it had about three or four small olives and a few small pieces of bread. I thought for the price they could have added a few more olives. My daughter ordered the ribs and they were very tough. In all fairness they weren't slow cooked so they won't fall off the bone- that's just how they do it in Argentina I guess. I really don't like to overly denigrate a restaurant, so I will try my best to use "constructive criticism " if I can... Full disclaimer...not a fan of Mediterranean fare. But it was my friend's turn to pick the restaurant, so here we are. I usually find the wait staff to be very good in most local places I frequent, and this was no exception. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. It must be hard to work in a place that forces you to tell customers that it will cost you $3.90 more for dipping bread when you order garlic shrimp that is full of a garlicky sauce. Speaking of..the shrimp were pretty much the size of my little pinky--and pricy, too. I could buy the same shrimp for $9.98 a pound at Walmart, and they would taste just as good. The menu online does not reflect the pretty big increase in prices. My Sicilian burrito, which was listed as $16.80 cost over $22.00-for a burrito that had about 3 ounces of chicken and a pound of some tasteless melted cheese. The mussels my other friend had were a bit big...who cuts mussels with a knife in order to eat them? Well, she did. Uh oh...I said constructive criticism, didn't I. Ok, here goes...increase the quality of your food, lower your prices, and don't nickel-and-dime people for something that should just come with the meal, like two slices of Italian bread. I see there are some very good reviews of Port Barna on Yelp...I guess that's why there's vanilla and chocolate. read more

Back again, as promised. Second visit also did not disappoint. Started with the boat potato ($9.80). Basically a potato skin app with bacon, spinach and Parmesan. Not bad but nothing over the top. My wife very much enjoyed the Sicilian burrito ($16.80). An Italian wrap with tender chicken, spinach, onions and red peppers cover with stringy fresh mozzarella and a simple divine tomato sauce. The ingredients were fresh and the taste was outstanding. I had the Mediterranean chimichurri and olive pork chop ($21.80) served on a sizzling plate with capers, onions and black olives. Two pork chops topped with the chimichurri sauce and served with the chef's unique fries (think little potato scoops) and a salad. Reasonably priced and very tasty. read more

Wow! We stumbled upon this treasure on our way back from West Palm Beach. I was looking for some Greek or Mediterranean food but discovered Port Barna... we tried it and it's an exceptional find! I had the mussels appetizer and it was perfection! I also had the Turkish salad and it was so fresh and yummy! My husband had the pasta special and really enjoyed it too and topped it off with a meringue crown and a scoop of chocolate ice cream, I only had a couple bites but it was yummy!!! I love Local vs Corporate but this place missed the mark. Friday night at The Mall to let the Teens shop, friend & I sat down for drinks and dinner. It wasn't busy, about 7-8 tables including us. We inquired about their wines. Waitress brought us two to try and we ordered. It took a lengthy amount of time for her to return. We inquired about a few menu items & the waitress was unsure of some. She left to "give us a moment". That "moment" was terribly long that we just paid for the wine and went somewhere else. The atmosphere is nice, they have outdoor seating. The menu isn't extensive but the dishes sounds delicious. Service ruined it. I'm patient in the understaffing but this wasn't the case here. read more

I've gone to this restaurant a half a dozen times and always enjoyed it. However tonight I ordered grilled chicken with what the menu described as lettuce and spinach. It came with field greens and I don't eat field greens. I questioned the waitress and she said they didn't have lettuce and the menu was wrong. It would have been nice if she told me that when I ordered it. I would have ordered something else. In addition the chicken was so incredibly dry i thought I would choke on it. We went here for a weekend lunch. We liked the atmosphere and vibe. It was very enjoyable to be seated outside. The menu was large with both tapas and larger plates with many interesting items. We shared the Argentina sausage sandwich and the fatoush salad. Both tasted fresh and well prepared. Menu prices were fairly expensive, but we could tell that the ingredients were high quality. Food was expensive and very bad. Had to go to Jersey mikes across the street after a hefty $60 tab for 2 croquettes, a glass of very bad "house" wine at a Mediterranean restaurant. Greek salad that I was pressured by a very unavailable waitress to add a piece of dry, sitting around chicken for a cool $10 on top of a Greek salad of cheap lettuce sprinkles of feta or maybe something else a couple of olives no cucumber $16. Total for crappy salad $26. Loud crappy music. There are great restaurants at malls. This isn't one of them. This is an overpriced mid range disco that serves very overpriced terrible food and cheap wine. Look elsewhere. Do yourself the favor. Maybe happy hour or weekly specials are a better bet. The rest of our guests were satisfied -but not blown away - with their food Service could have been better but the young man seemed way more interested in chatting up the waitress than taking care of his two tables. My friend and I went there on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 5:30 PM. There was only one other couple at a table, that should have been my first warning. We ordered 1 order of Papas Rellenas and the Paella mix Valenciana for 2 people, a glass of sangria and a glass of white wine and to finish flan and rice pudding for dessert. The Papas Rellenas were good but the paella was beyond horrible. It was a brown soupy mess with rice that wasn't completely cooked and mysterious hard chunks of something that you couldn't even cut with a knife. The server was a delightful young lady and asked how the food was and I just told her that it was awful and showed her the mystery meat/seafood? and she took it and showed the chef. The price of the paella was removed from the check which was nice because I didn't ask them to do that. Next up dessert. Flan is supposed to be a soft, silky smooth custard with caramel sauce but their flan was hard with a ring of crystalized sugar on top (probably horribly overbaked) and the rice pudding had enough cinnamon on the top of it for 6 rice puddings. Service was good, sangria was good, appetizer was good but everything else was a huge disappointment. Perhaps the tapas are better but I won't be going back to try them. read more
