We came here for an early Mother's Day dinner. I will start by saying the service was friendly and fast. The salsa had good flavor. I had the burrito Cancun and for the price I didn't expect imitation krab and it's not called out on the menu as such. It lacked flavor and the chicken just seemed out of place. Everyone else's in our party ordered standard American Mexican food and said it was typical and average. If we go back I definitely will stay with something more typical. Ironically there is a taco time next door.

Was craving the mex so I remembered this place down the road from where I was at. It's been there forever but I have not ate there for many many years. Since it was early for dinner the place was not that busy. No they do have outdoor seating which is nice but it was a bit warm so I chose to sit inside. There was only one other table occupied. I immediately was provided with chips and salsa and I ordered a side of guacamole. I already knew what I wanted, so I ordered the charbroiled Carne Asada ($19.95) which comes with tortillas, refried pinto beans and Mexican rice. My order came extremely fast and the plate had carne asada, a couple grilled green onions, pico de Galo, guac. No sour cream? So I asked if I could have some sour cream. I had already ordered a side of guacamole but yet they put another large spoon of it on my plate instead of sour cream. I also received four warm flour tortillas. The Carne Asada was like leather as well as the green onions were so tough I couldn't even cut them. :-( Then they gave me a small dish of sour cream. Not once was I asked if I wanted a refill on my drink ($2.75) or was I told that the sour cream would cost an additional $2.25. Very upsetting especially when this meal comes with sour cream any other place I had ever been. The guac was $5.25 and it was awful.... It tasted like it had soda water or baking soda in it. Anyhow lesson learned ....that was a quick $30. Which I do not mind if it is good but this meal was not.

I hav been here a number of times. I love supporting our local restaurants. This place is a nice place. Clean, the wait staff is pleasant. The food is so so. I've had. Few different item but nothing is out standing. The flavors of the meat sauces are meh. Almost like they poured it from a can The chips and salsa are good and we got two bowls. There aren't many restaurants in Oregon City so this is nice place to go. Where you feel welcome. There were only two tables being served and we had to wait for ever for our bill. She took another order and disappeared. We sat and waited until she finally printed which took all of 30 seconds if she hadn't run to the back all the time

We've been to Tachos many times and we always enjoy the food, the staff is always friendly, and it's a nice atmosphere. We even like the addition of the outdoor seating in front. However, this review is mainly for their deep fried ice cream. This is my absolute favorite thing here, even ranked above the free chips and salsa! It's to die for! I'm sure we're not their favorite guests when we come in and only order a couple of drinks and a deep fried ice cream to share, but that's a great night out for me! After raising kids for the last 20+ years, and still having a couple of teenagers at home, sometimes its these little evening escapes for some amazing ice cream that make up the best date nights. If that's what you need in your life, Tachos is the place to go! Have a seat in the bar or restaurant and order up a margarita and their fantastic deep fried ice cream and just enjoy! Thank you Tachos for entertaining our ice cream date nights and always having friendly, delightful, servers.

I'm sorry but the food here is gross. I went in not expecting very much maybe just some greasy mexican food but our food was almost inedible.it lacked seasoning and flavor. I also had to track down the waitress several times to get me a coke. She kept forgetting. Probably will never be back here. read more

Food was okay. Average Mexican cuisine. I used to live in Clackamas County & would eat here occasionally. I think honestly the food and the service has gone downhill since I lived here about 10 years ago :-( Service was very, very slow. Drinks are okay -- Margarita was kind if weak. The best thing I had tonight was the guacamole and they made at the table :-) I had a Burrito Cancun which has crab and shrimp in it. It was okay. The price of the burrito is $12.95 ala carte. We ordered the full meal which included rice and beans and that raised the price $18.95 It was a small portion of rice and beans and I can't imagine rice and beans cost $6??! Years ago when I came here the price of that burrito was $10.95, and it used to include rice and beans. I guess things have really changed! read more

I ordered a shredded beef Chimichanga, first time I got shredded chicken, then I told the waitress I ordered beef. She came back with a ground beef Chimichanga, finally I reminded her I ordered a shredded beef Chimichanga and told her I wanted it to go now because it had been so long. She was nice but what a bad experience, no more for them, they didn't even replace the beans or rice when I got the correct order. read more

For a while, my husband and I had lunch at Tacho's almost every day. We still visit them often, although not daily any more! They still recognize us, and most of the time already know what we're going to order. The servers are always friendly, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. read more

Though not the best Mexican food in Oregon City it is pretty good, lots of options including their daily specials at reasonable prices. Their staff is friendly and very prompt, service is great and food is quick to hit the table. Most of all great happy hour beer prices! read more

Wish I could give them 0 stars worst service I've ever had! Came here with a large group of friends and they didn't acknowledge us for 15min had to ask for water. didn't give us a happy hour menus despite it being happy hour. I complained and they didn't apologize or give us anything. They joked I just needed some food but they they served me last I only ordered an appetizer. Don't come here I've never seen a restaurant business with such poor service. read more

Will never go to this place again.The chips, salsa and water was good. Prices are way too high. My aunt got the tamale dish and there was hardly any meat in it and the texture was mushy. She also got a margarita with barely any alcohol in it. I got the taco salad to be safe and also because everything else was too expensive for a lunch menu. Thumbs down!!! read more

Horrible evening!!! I came in after work to have a few drinks with friends. One of my friends bought me a drink, and i ordered a second for myself! Our server (an older Hispanic lady) was horrid! The server brought me my bill and it was almost $10 for 2 drinks so i informed her my friend was paying for my drink and she told me "your friend ordered it but didn't pay".... that's because the 2 hours we were there she didn't check on us once or notice the debit card sitting on the table for almost 2 hours waiting to cover my drink. The only time she talked to us was when it was "last call." Being a Bartender/Manager myself i thought this was way uncalled for! Obviously i didn't tip her because she did a horrible job! Honestly, not wanting to ever go back and living 2 blocks away is tough because i used to love this place but their servers lately have made this place unwelcoming! Not just that, but we went outside to have a smoke and they locked us out with my friends bag still inside! Unless things change.... I'm NOT going back! Totally ruined my evening!!!! read more

I love this place because I've been going here since I was little. They can however have horrible service at times, but typically it's pretty decent. The food is inexpensive and the margaritas are delicious and cheap too. The food and drinks are usually out pretty quickly, it can take a little bit longer depending on what you order, but it's still pretty quick. read more

Worst service ever. We're not entirely sure who our server was, because no one came to the table for 15 mins. Set down salsa and chips left.... then after we were ready to order for 10 mins a server asks us what we want to order. We ask if we can have some waters. Order our meal finish chips and salsa waited another 15 mins no food, no one asked for a drink refill, or if we wanted more chips and salsa. Server avoided eye contact the entire time as to not see if we needed anything. So we walked out. They were not busy. Maybe 4 tables in there. We will not be back! read more

We came here for a good friend's birthday dinner. It was convenient for those who still wants to continue to celebrate after dinner, because they have a karaoke bar attached. The food was good, just like most Mexican restaurants I've been to- nothing special or bad. The service was great and the tables were a bit sticky. I love this place..have driven past it and didn't know it was this cool,fantastic service,great meal,I totally enjoyed myself and will definitely go back there,for now this is my favorite restaurant in Oregon city..just visiting america and had never had Mexican food,for me to really enjoy it..I am so impressed..I had fajhita,pardon my spelling I know nothin about Mexican dish..try this place out guys,u will love it ..xoxo read more

Met a friend there and ordered food to go. Website said the pollo mole was the special on Friday for $9.95 but when I went to pay I was charged $13.25 (full price). I brought up the discrepancy and the server said "the website is outdated". If you advertise a price, you ought to honor it but no reconciliation was offered. Food portion was decent but still felt like I overpaid. I very likely won't be coming back. read more

Very horrible service. Do not ever come here. Been sitting here for an hour waiting for our food. Waitress is full of lame excuses of why it took 45 min to get our drinks even though all the other tables are being fully serviced. We are all white people and the Hispanics are being taken care of but we are not. You are better off going to taco time across the parking lot. Service is horrible and drinks taste like there's no alcohol in them. Highly recommended to never come here ever. This place needs to be shut down ASAP. I'm giving this a one star only cause it won't let you give no stars.this place sucks read more

Looking for a venue to host 25 friends and family for happy hour festivities and dinner, I decided to look into Tacho's and dined 2 weeks ago to check out the venue, service and food. I communicated with the management team and reserved tables for 25 for happy hour starting at 5pm on December 24th. This is our annual family gathering and management stated they will remain open until 8pm. Last Friday, I received a call that they will close at 7 pm and I stated you told me 8. They said it was a misunderstanding.I asked them to review the reservation book that they wrote and it said till 8pm. Not sure how you say that was misunderstanding when you wrote in 8pm. Not happy to scramble for a another venue but Merry Christmas Tacho's, your staff and restaurant just lost out on a $1,000 additional revenue. read more

Make sure to pay with a credit card so you can dispute the charge! I had to pay 22,50 for 3 coors lights and was then told I owed 39.00 for the last one after I had already paid my previous tab for 22.50! When I tried to show the recipe Carlos the bartender told me I was drunk and said many profanities! This is by far the worst service I have ever had! If you want to pay 61.50 for 4 beers and be verbally assaulted by a server this is the place for you read more

First and last time here. I ordered chicken tacos and received boiled chicken with absolutely no spices or flavoring, a little bit of lettuce and a few pieces of cheese. The shell was clearly bought at the store. Is there any place in Oregon city that has homemade authentic Mexican food? This was terrible! I actually had to ask for a side of enchilada sauce just to get one of the tacos down. Most Mexican restaurants give you a small side of sour cream and guacamole. When I asked for sour cream they charged me $2.95. I just spent $16.95 on a disgustingly nasty dried out taco and some rice and beans. I politely mentioned it to one of the ladies who brought me my sour cream. When my server came around the corner she was frustrated and made a very large sigh as though I had irritated her. She asked me if everything was okay. I opted to not say anything because she was clearly already agitated..
