It was absolutely bustlin' when we were here! (turns out it was Valentine's Day, whoops!) The food took a while to come out but it was excellent, as was the service! First time trying Watetshed and it was a hit! We went around 9:45 on a Saturday morning and by 10:15 the line to order was nearly to the door. Another restaurant where you order at the counter and then get your table assigned to you by the servers. I'm not a huge fan of this system as the woman taking orders, although she was warm and kind, took sooo long to get through each party's order as she made conversation with each and every person. Lovely if there's not a long line of folks waiting to order/eat, but frustrating as it took way longer than necessary to even be able to order. Anyway, the food was good and the coffee was fantastic. I also wanted to try a maple bun from the pastry display but the party in front of us ordered the last one of the day so I missed out. We have given this establishment business twice now. Once for lunch and the other for breakfast this morning . This food has to be the nastiest food ever for the price! Not only was the lunch several months ago bland and nothing we would ever order again and high priced, but we had breakfast this morning to try and give it a second chance and for $46 for 2 medium cups of a specialty coffee , we had eggs with the fried potatoes and fruit and toast. It was so mediocre. It wasn't funny! The fried potatoes tasted like they'd come out of a bag of frozen potatoes, the fresh fruit? Cantaloupe was hard as a rock. The eggs were done ok and the toast was just toast. That was it! For $46 I would've expected much tastier and better than we received. We will not be visiting this establishment again! read more

In more than 40 years of life, I have never been asked to move tables in the middle of a meal so someone else could take my seat. My husband and I came in for a quiet breakfast and coffee while talking through a business plan. We arrived at 10:20 (I know because we had just paid for parking). We ordered two breakfast bagel sandwiches and fancy coffees, settled in with our laptops, and started eating. About 35 minutes later, we were still finishing our food and had barely made a dent in our coffees when a woman I believe was a manager approached us and said the restaurant was getting busy and asked if we would consider moving to a bar-height window seat. I looked around before responding. Every booth I could see had two people or fewer, including a single person working on a laptop. I politely said we would prefer to stay where we were. She then continued asking us to move again to another location. I politely declined. And then AGAIN. In shock, I declined again. Three different requests to relocate to less comfortable seats while we were still actively experiencing our dining. I understand that seating can be tricky in a self-seat cafe. I truly do. Sometimes a rush comes in and larger groups need space. But asking paying customers to give up their seats in the middle of their meal after only 35 minutes felt incredibly uncomfortable and honestly pretty embarrassing. What should have been a peaceful morning with my partner turned into a moment where we felt singled out and unwelcome. We had spent over $40 on a very average cafe breakfast, plus parking, just to be pressured to move from the seats we had already been dining in. Oregon City is a small town and there are only a handful of places where you can sit, have coffee, and spend a little time talking. It makes me genuinely sad to say that after this one star interaction, neither of us feels very comfortable coming back. I do want to add that the kind person at the register has always been lovely and deserves five stars. She has consistently been warm and welcoming. I wish the rest of the experience had matched her kindness. For that I am adding a star. read more

Spontaneous Saturday morning, coffee rendezvous with a coworker, my adult daughter ended up, joining us and all three left, satisfied and blown away by the delicious coffees and the homemade sauces. They both had an iced salted caramel mocha of some kind that every time they took a drink. It resulted in a positive. Comment of how delicious it was. I tried their spring mocha blend, the exact name escapes me, but it was divine and so beautiful. I like my coffee, hot and with oat milk, which They fully supplied. I also indulged before my planned hike with the Greek yogurt and homemade granola dish, almost could not finish it, it's such the perfect serving, and the strawberry rhubarb compote was so refreshing. Stopped in with my boyfriend for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. He had been here before and recommended it. I ordered the breakfast hash. I'm dairy and gluten-free so they ensure that my needs were met. Overall, it was pretty good, but I did have to add some hot sauce to make a little bit more flavorful for me. I also got a really good plum tea. He had ordered the bacon PBJ panini, which is what he always gets when he goes here. He definitely raved about it. We had a great brunch yesterday here. It's paid street parking and when you enter you walk up to order before you sit down. There were several items on the menu that looked really yummy. The staff were very welcoming, answered questions and gave great suggestions. They also have a lot of great drink options as well. I ordered the breakfast hash with sweet potatoes and it was delicious. My friend ordered the pioneer place which she really enjoyed. I ordered the kids pancake for my son and it was missing the whipped cream and sprinkles. The side of bacon was so over cooked it would have shattered into a 100 pieces if it hit the floor lol I ordered the hash and it was super greasy and cold. Bummed, I wanted to like this place. read more

We came here on a weekend morning and it was super busy. The place is huge, with seating in the back and in the front. We ordered the breakfast bagel with scallion cream cheese and the breakfast burrito with sausage. The food was pretty good, but there are some improvements that can be made. The breakfast bagel was a little undercooked with the bagel falling apart. It had some everything flavors. The breakfast burrito had some weird flavors to it, with the salsa tasting more like chimchurri. The breakfast burrito contents were not really proportioned as you'd expect, with too much sausage and not enough potatoes and eggs. The staff were friendly and there was abundant seating. Overall, a good place to stop by for breakfast with both small portions and larger portions as well. My partner enjoyed his Summer Trip Latte and said it had a lot of good flavor to it. read more

I had been wanting to try Watershed for a while and I finally paid a visit! It is a nice space with some tables, booths, couches and a counter to sit at. When you walk in, you order first and then grab a spot. I went with the Pioneer plate with the classic eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. Everything was delicious; I enjoyed the seasonings on the potatoes. They, and the bacon, were nice and crispy. Their fall drink menu looked really good, went with the When Pumpkin Met Spice Latte. They use house made pumpkin syrup and the drink was very tasty. I enjoyed the spices in it. And of course we had to try some beignets! They had some cinnamon and sugar with apple butter, which were very good. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed this place and my only gripe would be i wish the breakfast menu was a little bigger. I will be back to try more! read more

The food here was delicious and fresh. We got the breakfast burrito, egg and hash, orange glazed pastry, and Spanish coffees. The staff were very joyous and friendly. There was lots of stuff to look at, cute local made things you can purchase and different areas to sit in! Lounge area, outdoor seating (dog friendly) or table seating inside. We were actually planning to go somewhere else for brunch but the wait time was too long so drove past this new cafe and decided to check it out. It's order at the cashier and seat yourself here. Lots of cute regular cafe tables, bistro tables, some lounge seating and bar top seating to select from. The menu doesn't have a robust breakfast list, standard pancakes, parfaits, yogurts, bagel sandwiches, eggs/bacon, but they have available all day their other lunch menu items which all sounded tasty! We got the pomegranate mimosas (special for the day) and those were fantastic! I think Pom mimosas are my new favorite brunch cocktail!! We also got the pancakes (came with eggs and lots of bacon), and the Grilled cheese panini + tomato bisque soup combo. A little bit of a wait but the food presentation was lovely and the food was really delicious. Get the grilled cheese + tomato bisque! So delicious!!!! Will be back for this. Love to see new businesses in Oregon city! We had to stop in. The space is cute and I like how they transformed it from the previous restaurant. Your order at the from and seat your self. Lots of seating is available, but it is pretty cramped in there. I wanted to order the turkey panini but they couldn't substitute the ground mustard for any other sauce (as they don't have any other sauces) so I landed on the peanut butter, jelly and bacon panini with a side salad and the breakfast hash. The food was ok! I like that you could get chips, soup or salad for no additional cost. The side salad was fresh with some beautiful greens and a house dressing. The breakfast hash was also ok. The panini was a bit dry for me. Nothing quite hit the mark for me food wise besides the vanilla latte! The latte was 10/10. I would not get the Italian soda again. I'm excited to give this spot another try or just to grab coffee! read more

I would say mid experience- I got the breakfast burrito and I wish there was more to it. There is no cheese no veggies... I'm sure you can add it on, but I want that already on it no extra charge. Food: they have a variety of meals to choose from. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich & then an iced chai latte. The breakfast sandwich was good, I got bacon and egg on it. The only thing I didn't like was that whatever oil or if it's fat from bacon- wasn't drained thoroughly. It created a lot of liquid under the breakfast sandwich. Iced chai latte was really good! Service is excellent. The Bloody Marys and bloody Marias were both top notch. The food is the best part. They make just about everything from scratch. From the sausage to the Bloody Mary mix they don't use pre made or mixed food. Super clean with fantastic flavor. The Watershed, situated on charming Main Street of Oregon City is open and clean with a modern coffee shop sensibility but they have much more than coffee. I ordered at the counter and then snuggled into a comfy bar chair. The counter person was very polite and chatty and made the best damned mushroom mocha I've ever had! Wow! The beignets were decent. They took a while to cook as they are made to order so allot some time for those. I didn't try the croissants but they looked lovely. I'll have to try those next time. The twee country hipster music wasn't to my liking but inoffensive and low enough to not overwhelm. As I said, the bar seating was comfortable but there were also booths and tables as well as outdoor seating in the cute little alleyway. It was a clean, walkable alleyway, not the dirty, scary kind. There could have been more art on the big, white paired brick wall. It's a vast expanse as the floor plan of the place is longer than it is wide. Also the back area was painted an olive green color which closed off that space and made it feel dark. With little natural lighting. A bit of white paint or a garage style door would help that. That said, it was mostly a pleasant spot with plants, marble counters, hardwood floors, a beautiful antique buffet with coffee fixins. Overall a nice experience. Terrible seating policy! Asking us to move after asking us to choose a seat. We chose a booth because it was quieter and easier for me to hear. I have a cochlear implant that allows me to hear, but sitting in the middle of a noisy environment makes it much more difficult. It was embarrassing to be asked to move after instructing us to order our meal and find a seat. Then it was even more frustrating to explain my hearing loss and desire to sit where i could hear my wife only to be told "well its our policy so you need to move" the booths are reserved for 3 or more. If you have seating policy that requires people to sit in certain places, simply seat them rather than asking them to find a seat. Very frustrating also to have already ordered and paid including a tip and not being able to choose to eat elsewhere. Felt like i was treated poorly. I will not be back. Hash was overly salty to boot! read more

I don't know if it was the time of day or an off day but I was surprised that my meal took so long and wasn't very good. I asked the server what they recommended for breakfast between two items - they said the hash. So I ordered the hash with eggs over easy and an iced coffee and sat outside. After quite some time, I went inside to check on the food. I saw some other folks were doing the same. The staff seemed kind of flustered. They said my food would be out soon. I think they may have forgotten my order. My food came out shortly after - unfortunately it was super overcooked and greasy. Eggs were alright. I just ate what I could with hot sauce and cleared my table. No one came to check on me. By that time the place was nearly cleared out. Such a wonderful addition to downtown Oregon City! A girlfriend and I came for brunch on Saturday and there was about a 30 min wait for food. You order at the register, then take a number, and they bring it to you. We opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and the breakfast hash. Also, had to order the beinget's! To kick off brunch, we each ordered their seasonal December drinks. 1st round was the gingerbread martinis! They were absolutely delicious! 2nd round was a frosty the Russian and nutty old fashion. They were also a hit. Once the food came we were so ready to dig in. The bagel sandwich was excellent and the hash had plenty of potato's, sweet potato and seasonal veggies. I came on a Sunday morning wanting to have a nice quiet breakfast and drink some cappuccino, but it was far from that experience. It was noisy busy loud, sound seems to echo from every corner. And honestly, the food was not that great. I got the breakfast hash and it was way overdone so lots of little charcoal bites in my food because it was basically burnt.
