Greek yogurt, their homemade granola and strawberry rhubarb compote
    Kristen H.

Spontaneous Saturday morning, coffee rendezvous with a coworker, my adult daughter ended up, joining us and all three left, satisfied and blown away by the delicious coffees and the homemade sauces. They both had an iced salted caramel mocha of some kind that every time they took a drink. It resulted in a positive. Comment of how delicious it was. I tried their spring mocha blend, the exact name escapes me, but it was divine and so beautiful. I like my coffee, hot and with oat milk, which They fully supplied. I also indulged before my planned hike with the Greek yogurt and homemade granola dish, almost could not finish it, it's such the perfect serving, and the strawberry rhubarb compote was so refreshing. It's peaceful and easy vibes here.

    Breakfast hash

Stopped in with my boyfriend for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. He had been here before and recommended it. I ordered the breakfast hash. I'm dairy and gluten-free so they ensure that my needs were met. Overall, it was pretty good, but I did have to add some hot sauce to make a little bit more flavorful for me. I also got a really good plum tea. He had ordered the bacon PBJ panini, which is what he always gets when he goes here. He definitely raved about it. Overall, a cute place to grab a nice bite to eat and grab a drink. There is paid street parking.

We had a great brunch yesterday here. It's paid street parking and when you enter you walk up to order before you sit down. There were several items on the menu that looked really yummy. The staff were very welcoming, answered questions and gave great suggestions. They also have a lot of great drink options as well. I ordered the breakfast hash with sweet potatoes and it was delicious. My friend ordered the pioneer place which she really enjoyed. The vibe was good, things were set out in a thoughtful manner (sauces, extra utensils, etc). Overall would recommend checking out Watershed.

Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese

We came here on a weekend morning and it was super busy. The place is huge, with seating in the back and in the front. We ordered the breakfast bagel with scallion cream cheese and the breakfast burrito with sausage. The food was pretty good, but there are some improvements that can be made. The breakfast bagel was a little undercooked with the bagel falling apart. It had some everything flavors. The breakfast burrito had some weird flavors to it, with the salsa tasting more like chimchurri. The breakfast burrito contents were not really proportioned as you'd expect, with too much sausage and not enough potatoes and eggs. The staff were friendly and there was abundant seating. Overall, a good place to stop by for breakfast with both small portions and larger portions as well. My partner enjoyed his Summer Trip Latte and said it had a lot of good flavor to it.

The food was amazing it was a bit pricey but overall tasty. They had cozy seating lots of options you could choose a table or couches. They brought our food out quickly.

    It WAS a breakfast burrito!

The food here is DELICIOUS!!! And the staff are SO friendly and cool. The guidelines of first come first serve, order first then sit down is a unique but efficient approach so be sure to read the invitations and menu as you walk in. Did I mention the food? Epic yum! Breakfast or lunch, we loved it all

    Beignets with apple butter!

I had been wanting to try Watershed for a while and I finally paid a visit! It is a nice space with some tables, booths, couches and a counter to sit at. When you walk in, you order first and then grab a spot. I went with the Pioneer plate with the classic eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. Everything was delicious; I enjoyed the seasonings on the potatoes. They, and the bacon, were nice and crispy. Their fall drink menu looked really good, went with the When Pumpkin Met Spice Latte. They use house made pumpkin syrup and the drink was very tasty. I enjoyed the spices in it. And of course we had to try some beignets! They had some cinnamon and sugar with apple butter, which were very good. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed this place and my only gripe would be i wish the breakfast menu was a little bigger. I will be back to try more!

    Spanish coffee

The food here was delicious and fresh. We got the breakfast burrito, egg and hash, orange glazed pastry, and Spanish coffees. The staff were very joyous and friendly. There was lots of stuff to look at, cute local made things you can purchase and different areas to sit in! Lounge area, outdoor seating (dog friendly) or table seating inside. I would like to come back and try more food and drinks! I think the pricing is on point for the experience overall!

We were actually planning to go somewhere else for brunch but the wait time was too long so drove past this new cafe and decided to check it out. It's order at the cashier and seat yourself here. Lots of cute regular cafe tables, bistro tables, some lounge seating and bar top seating to select from. The menu doesn't have a robust breakfast list, standard pancakes, parfaits, yogurts, bagel sandwiches, eggs/bacon, but they have available all day their other lunch menu items which all sounded tasty! We got the pomegranate mimosas (special for the day) and those were fantastic! I think Pom mimosas are my new favorite brunch cocktail!! We also got the pancakes (came with eggs and lots of bacon), and the Grilled cheese panini + tomato bisque soup combo. A little bit of a wait but the food presentation was lovely and the food was really delicious. Get the grilled cheese + tomato bisque! So delicious!!!! Will be back for this. The staff were thoughtful and attentive. lighting and white wall paint made it a nice a bright atmosphere. What a wonderful accident we stumbled upon this lovely gem/cafe!

    Bloody Mary and bloody Maria
    Daniel T.

Service is excellent. The Bloody Marys and bloody Marias were both top notch. The food is the best part. They make just about everything from scratch. From the sausage to the Bloody Mary mix they don't use pre made or mixed food. Super clean with fantastic flavor. The owner really cares and it shows with their dedication to good service and good food.

Love to see new businesses in Oregon city! We had to stop in. The space is cute and I like how they transformed it from the previous restaurant. Your order at the from and seat your self. Lots of seating is available, but it is pretty cramped in there. I wanted to order the turkey panini but they couldn't substitute the ground mustard for any other sauce (as they don't have any other sauces) so I landed on the peanut butter, jelly and bacon panini with a side salad and the breakfast hash. The food was ok! I like that you could get chips, soup or salad for no additional cost. The side salad was fresh with some beautiful greens and a house dressing. The breakfast hash was also ok. The panini was a bit dry for me. Nothing quite hit the mark for me food wise besides the vanilla latte! The latte was 10/10. I would not get the Italian soda again. I'm excited to give this spot another try or just to grab coffee!

    Breakfast burrito add beans
    Maddie H.

I would say mid experience- I got the breakfast burrito and I wish there was more to it. There is no cheese no veggies... I'm sure you can add it on, but I want that already on it no extra charge. The flavor was great for the potatoes, but everything else bland even their house made salsa. I would only go there again out of convenience and the ambiance wasn't terrible.

Food: they have a variety of meals to choose from. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich & then an iced chai latte. The breakfast sandwich was good, I got bacon and egg on it. The only thing I didn't like was that whatever oil or if it's fat from bacon- wasn't drained thoroughly. It created a lot of liquid under the breakfast sandwich. Iced chai latte was really good! Service: overall pretty good! Ambiance: the business was booming the Sunday we went. All tables were full except 2 little ones. The wait time wasn't very long either. They have tables for 2, booths for 2 and then some lounge chairs and a giant table in the back made of pretty wood that can host 8.

Beignets, sausage, Water avenue coffee at the bar.

I ordered a couple cocktails here and both were top notched. The bartender was busy but was still friendly. The vibe here is trendy and definitely a great place to bring a date. We were visiting family in the area and had two people in our group local to the area who had been there several times in the past. We first went and checked in and were told there was a 10-15 minute wait. The hostess was very kind, took our number and sent us to the upstairs bar to wait for a table. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who took our drink orders (cocktails and wine) and we enjoyed our beverages while chatting by the bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with large velvet green booths, all new, updated and well done. The drinks were all great. The downstairs hostess came upstairs to let us know our table was ready, and we paid and went downstairs. So far, we were all really happy with our experience. The prices of the drinks were all around $15-20+ but we were all okay with it given the good service (thus far), high end atmosphere, etc. There were people in there but it was a pretty mellow Saturday evening. We were given a nice large area to sit and thanked the hostess. The waitress came and was clearly a little overwhelmed but took our drink orders. I mentioned a drink my husband had upstairs and asked if I could have it, but was told they had a different menu down here and I needed to order from that menu. I looked it over while the others ordered their drinks, and when she came back to me, I asked if I could go upstairs to order the drink I wanted, and bring it down. She said sure. I put in an order for a couple food items with her, and she left. My brother in law kindly offered to go upstairs and order the drink and was gone for quite a long time. We learned that when he was upstairs, he went to the bar and mentioned I wanted a drink from his bar. The bartender's mood shifted and he said he had 10 drinks ahead of my BIL, and asked him to go downstairs to order. My BIL informed him he was told the downstairs bar didn't have the ingredients, and was sent up here. The bartender was annoyed and asked my BIL to go downstairs for 10 minutes and come back again to order. My BIL replied that he was happy to wait at the bar instead and took a seat. After a long while, the bartender curtly said that my BIL would have to pay for the drink up here, which my BIL of course agreed to. My BIL said it was very uncomfortable and the bartender was being rude (a couple sitting at the bar also mentioned this). We are guessing he was overwhelmed and didn't handle it well. He brought the drink downstairs, no problem. We were all sitting for a while and noticed that my BIL never received the beer he ordered from the waitress downstairs. And after about 45 minutes I asked about the food I had ordered (she hadn't checked in with us at all during that time, and I should mention it was not busy at all - several tables open). The waitress said she forgot to put it in. That was it. No offer to quickly put it in, no offer to comp a drink, no real apology. We asked for the bill and split it between two cards. When we got the receipts and cards back, my husband found they had given both him and his brother (the other payer) copies of my husband's receipt-so he assumed he was double charged. He went to the front to bring this to their attention and explained how he was upset by the poor service throughout the evening. He received a quick response that they had printed the receipt twice (didn't charge twice) and were short staffed that evening. We are all understanding people and my sister in law ran restaurants for years, we all had food service jobs and are sympathetic but really just disappointed in this place. I'm writing this review because the employees there just didn't seem to care about the issues we raised. They had an acoustic artist playing that evening who was phenomenal. If you go there on a different day with different staff, I'm sure you'd have a great time. But for the price and ambiance, we really expected better service.

Our food was NOT great let alone, ok! I ordered the shrimp scampi/risotto dish. It came with a side of garlic bread. My husband ordered the lemon capered chicken and my daughter the smash burger. My food and my husband's food tasted like I was eating CREAM OF SALT with garlic and the bread was even more salty. He was starving and just ate it, I only got through about half. It was so salty. Verdict Bar & Grill in Oregon City is a really cool whiskey bar with a speakeasy-style atmosphere,…read moregreat drinks, and seriously impressive bartenders. I stopped in recently to pick up a to-go order and ended up sitting at the bar for a drink while I waited. I was greeted right away when I sat down and given a food menu. The place was completely slammed, but the two bartenders were absolutely dialed in. They were mixing signature cocktails, pouring wine, draft beer, and spirits nonstop while still checking in with guests. Watching them work was impressive -- the focus and efficiency looked more like professional mixologists than typical bartenders. The space itself has a great vibe. You enter from the 8th Street door and it feels like stepping into a hidden basement speakeasy. The interior is dimly lit with a huge illuminated whiskey wall. The bar is centered in the room with booths along the outside, making it a really cool date-night spot. While waiting for my food I ordered a Fort George City of Dreams Hazy IPA, which was cold and fantastic. As soon as I saw the cocktail menu though, I immediately regretted not ordering one of their house drinks -- the 8th Street Margarita looked especially good. I also noticed that all the whiskey drinks coming out had these beautiful crystal-clear 3" ice cubes, which is a great touch and shows they take their cocktails seriously. I originally came in because I've been ordering the Buffalo Mac & Cheese from their food cart about once a month for the last few years. Their Oregon City cart recently closed, so this was my first time getting it from the bar. My to-go order took about 30 minutes, which was totally understandable given how busy the place was. The staff stayed friendly and attentive the whole time. The Buffalo Mac & Cheese was still very tasty. The macaroni was great with a creamy cheese sauce and good buffalo flavor throughout. The chicken tasted like it may have been frozen at some point and was a little chewy compared to the crunchier chicken I remember from the food cart version, but overall the dish was still really good and something I'll definitely order again. Great atmosphere, skilled bartenders, solid food, and a really unique whiskey-bar vibe in Oregon City. Next time I come back I'm definitely sitting down and ordering one of those cocktails. Tip: Sit at the bar if you can -- watching the bartenders craft the drinks is half the experience.
