I really liked them, because I never worried that our cats were "forgotten". Loyalty sends a picture and an email/text on every visit, so we always know what is happening. And they fill out a log book, that stays with us, with details on each visit. And then - because being good just isn't good enough - they went the extra 10 miles. When one of our cats got sick, Loyalty was there to help us through the very difficult time. They helped even when our cat would act out and get angry (because a sick cat is an unhappy cat, all the time). They didn't flinch when realizing they had a sick cat - they just dealt with it, and said "it's just part of the job". They even went so far as to accompany me to a vet visit, because it was taking two people to keep our poor cat calm. And that is how you set the bar. Now, several years later, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I was only home when they came a handful of times, but each time I saw them they were very professional and clearly loved my dog (and he loved them!). They also were hugely helpful when he was diagnosed with cancer and later needed surgery- knowing they were able to see him and give meds while he recovered gave me such peace of mind. I spoke with Terry to get set up and she is a wonderful business owner who is dedicated to her employees and delivering great care to clients. If they ever noticed something was off during a visit, like if my dog had seemed sick or had gotten into something, they got in touch with me in real time to let me know, in addition to the handwritten notes that they logged after each walk for us to read when we got home. We were signed up for a monthly rate for consistent daily walks that I was happy with and it was relatively easy to note any schedule changes, you just have to know kinda far in advance. My only feedback would be that it would be great if they had a messaging system that allowed for real time walk messages with the possibility of sharing photos as well (a platform like Time To Pet, that I know some other services use), but they were so well organized and genuine that I never doubted that my walker was coming or that they were coming for the amount of time we were scheduled for. It would also be nice if it was possible to do group walks to get some socialization in, but they only do solo walks.

Jason did an amazing job on my great pyrenees. My great pyr is not an easy dog and it's been years…read morebeing able to find a groomer he will cooperate with. I had to self bathe him myself for years. Recently I had to board him last minute due to heading out of town. I also was nervous boarding him as he shuts down/will not cooperate as well. However, I receive no issues with boarding. He seem great leaving the facility. He has been matted for a while and needed sanitary trimming and brush out. The scheduler thought Jason was the perfect guy to handle. She was right. Jason brought me a new dog. You can tell my dog felt so much better. My family loved it. Rude experience at the front desk on the morning of 7/24. I arrived, and the lady (curly hair) I…read morelined up in front of never acknowledged me. Though, I was within her peripheral vision and she definitely was aware I was there. She just never greeted me. Then, a coworker of hers, also a female, came to her to talk to her. She too did not acknowledge me. I saw another customer enter and line up in front of a male employee. He helped her. So I went and lined up there. He ignored me. Wtf. The 2nd female who ignored me after the 1st female noticed I was not being helped, so she asked me, "Have you been helped?" I flatly said, "No." The 1st female looked at me for the first time, but with attitude and anger, almost like she wanted to hit me. The guy proceeded to help me, barely making eye contact with me. Meanwhile, the 1st female was staring me down everywhere she went. I even caught it on camera. Ask me for the footage. I even posted it on Yelp. This was such a bizarre, rude experience. Customer service was extremely poor at the front desk. Only the customer service at the cattery lightened my mood. Such a stark difference. Whoever helped me there was extremely sweet. Front desk was horrible.

Archie went to camp with Gina for three weeks and came home a different dog. I'm still a little…read moreamazed. He's a five-pound chihuahua who shakes when someone new walks in the room and basically lived on my lap or behind my knees. I'd worried a trainer would either give up on him or scare him worse, but from the very first day Gina put so much thought into making him feel safe. She texted that afternoon to say he'd already jumped into her daughter's arms. When he barely ate the first couple days and I got worried, she talked me through it and told me he'd come around, which he did. She took him on long walks around the park and the neighborhood to burn off his nerves before she ever asked anything of him. His crate became his safe spot at her house, a familiar place that was all his in the middle of a busy home with other dogs and parrots and training going on. And she started him on tiny, predictable rules, sitting before a door, coming when called, so he always had something he understood to hold onto in a new situation. She explained that for an anxious dog, knowing what to expect is half the battle. She also refused to pick him up every time he got scared, and warned me that part would be harder for me than for him. She was right. Somewhere around the second week he started smiling in the photos. He was hanging out with her little dogs and her family, going on field trips to the park and coffee shops, staying on his place while she walked away, heeling next to her. He knows sit, place, heel and here now, and he does them for me too. The turnover at my apartment took a couple hours and it was real work. She sat me down and explained everything before we ever touched the dog, then had me practice with Archie while she corrected what I was doing wrong. She's kept sending reminders and answering my questions since, including a few dumb ones about shampoo and brushes. Here's the part I still can't get over. We went to a party a couple weeks after he got home, which is a huge deal for Archie. He sat on other people's laps. He licked hands. He barely cowered. Six weeks ago he would have spent the whole night shaking under my chair. Everyone at the party noticed and commented on the change in his demeanor. I was a proud mama that day! If your dog is the anxious type, the one who hides, trembles, won't eat around strangers, or has to be carried everywhere, I really want you to hear this. A lot of trainers are set up for big confident dogs and don't know what to do with a scared little one. Gina does. She never rushed him, never forced him, and never made me feel silly for babying him all these years. She reads a nervous dog and meets them where they are, then slowly builds them up until they can handle the world on their own. That's exactly what Archie needed. I honestly feel like Gina is just getting started with him, and I'm already thinking of when I can work with her again. If you have a tiny, anxious dog and you're on the fence, go with Gina. Pebbles (blue heeler, 1.5 years old) would never listen to me, would not sit or lay still, and had a lot of other obedience issues that caused her to be stressed or confused. She was a TOUGH dog to train and I was concerned I couldn't find the solution for her to get basic concepts. This view has completely changed since working with RSK9's 3 week program. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their methods - you can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and it's made a huge difference in giving my dog the chance to find real rest at home. They send DAILY updates with photos and videos which was so nice. This isn't a regular class or something you just pay for; it's truly an investment that you and your dog will be using for the time you get to share together. Side note: it's worth doing 3 weeks versus 2 weeks. At the 2 week mark is when Pebbles really started to understand her marks and cues. From here there is so much more that can be refined and Brandi/Perry really capitalize on that threshold being crossed!

The abundance of 5-star reviews reassured us, and we even scheduled a one-night trial stay to test it before our longer family trip. During that visit, we were promised strong communication, regular photo updates, and a high standard of care while we were away. Sadly, our actual experience was the complete opposite. While traveling in Asia, we were told we'd receive regular updates. Instead, we got only three photos over a span of 10 days--and only after multiple follow ups and texts from our side. The lack of communication and unease made it difficult for any of us to enjoy our trip and we knew something was not right. When it came time for pickup, the owner was not even present. Just a few hours before we landed, we received a text informing us that our dog was injured and her teenage son would be there for pick up. There was no explanation, no phone call, no attempt to take responsibility, and not a single follow-up to check on how she was doing after. It felt cold, negligent, and deeply unprofessional. We later learned the injury was a torn ACL requiring surgery. What's most upsetting is that we had clearly disclosed a prior ACL injury in the intake paperwork--on the opposite leg. That information was either ignored or not reviewed at all. There was no transparency, no apology, and absolutely no concern for how serious the injury was. We chose Sugar Maple Farm because we wanted a safe and trusted place. When something went wrong, there was no accountability--only deflection. That trust was completely broken. It's devastating to watch our dog struggle with pain and limited mobility, and to know she now faces a 12-15 week recovery from a surgery that may have been preventable with proper care. We came home expecting to see her happy and healthy. Instead, we're managing a serious injury with no answers on what happened. If you value your dog's safety and well-being, I urge you to look elsewhere. Sugar Maple Farm may have glowing reviews, but our experience was proof that when things go wrong, this facility does not step up.

I contacted Becky's Pet care in 2012 to walk my rescue German shepherd Mia…read more I had called five other places and each one would politely say they couldn't help me once they actually got IN the house to meet Mia. (If you have a shepherd you know what I'm talking about). Mia had been abused and then fostered by five to six different foster families. I was her last one. She was the sweetest dog to me but if you were a stranger, you had to earn her trust--and it wasn't easy. She was beaten by a man so, it was twice as hard if you were a man. I was also told by her last foster that she got in the garbage, chewed up everything and was in general very destructive. The lady they sent was awesome. She even coordinated with my friend (who Mia trusted) to have someone there she (Mia) knew until Mia got used to their employee. I believe her name was Sephira. Well, Sephira and Mia became best friends and after about a two week get-to-know-each-other period--everything went very smoothly. My dog was let out in the middle of the day for a short walk and then loved up and played with, and watered. Never came home to any accidents and even got a poop report! Lol. I just rescued another German shepherd but have moved out of their service area. I just wanted everyone to know what wonderful people they have working there. And, Mia lived a very long, happy life. She passed in 2018 at 16 years old.
