The staff is always attentive and they sell top notch equipment for fair prices. You can get your reels wound with whatever line you need for 5 bucks too. Overall great experience and the prices are on point.

Very great tackle shop, kind of hard to see but for a little tackle shop they have almost everything salt water and fresh. I am sure if you ask they will order for you. They also have a dressing room, big baits, reward program, they also give you tips on whats biting. REally nice guys, the parking kind of stinks, it is a good little tackle shop with all your needs, good selection of baits for all different types of fishing can get your fishing license and line on your reel. Excellent place.

Ask the Community - Tackle Express

    Do you sell fishing licenses?

    Yes they do

    Do you do gift cards?

Yes, we do have gift cards. We can make them in any amount you'd like.

Do they have the shovel tool that helps get sand crabs out of the sand?

Yes, we have those. It's called a sand crab rake but it doesn't resemble a rake too much. It has a U shaped handle with a mesh scoop. You simply drag the rake through the water on top of the sand. If there are sand crabs there, you'll get them.

Do they sell frozen squid / anchovies etc...?

Yes we sure do. We have frozen squid, anchovies, sardines, and mackerel. They come in 1lb bags and cost from $3.99 to 5.99.

I also love their cashiers because they treat you like you are family and they make you laugh. One person I especially enjoy getting help from is chayil. She is always so cheerful and kind. She knows what you need, makes suggestions and gets you into a pair of shoes you will love. Then you go to the cashiers and are rung up by Richard. He constantly makes me laugh. Plus he is very knowledgeable. This store is always clean. Their bathrooms are always clean and smell nice. Every item is in its place. It is very well stocked. I'm not showing everything in the store because people many times use our pictures to steal because they know where items are kept. At least that is why Tiffiny's would not allow me to take pictures. You can custom order a jersey with your name on . Just ask them how. You can get every kind of sports equipment you want. Golfing, Basketball, football, soccer, tennis, but no camping equipment. They have treadmills and workout clothes and equipment. They sell water bottles and hand warmers. They have golf watches which is interesting. I love Dicks. Try it out and you will be a customer for life.

This is a well-run shooting club in Santa Clarita. If you're coming from LA, it's actually just…read morebefore you get into Santa Clarita. There are multiple ranges, depending on what you want to shoot, a restaurant with quality food, a small bar (they do not allow you to shoot after drinking, but the reverse is fine), a gun shop with a very good selection and knowledgeable staff, and several events throughout the year. What really makes this place great is the staff at the ranges. If they see someone doing something unsafe, they call it out and put a stop to it immediately, which is what you want at a gun range. But more than that, they're friendly and more than willing to help you with tips on shooting or with any weapon malfunction--very important for new shooters. Guys like Savage and Jimmy really help make the rifle range an enjoyable experience. As far as the different ranges, there is a long row of shotgun clay/skeet shooting at the front when you pull in. That's also where you find the restaurant and some clean bathrooms. There is also a small shop with clothing, accessories, and some very high-end shotguns. This is where you check in for the shotgun range. To head to the archery range, park there and make a left past the main building and up a hill. I haven't been to the archery range yet, so I can't comment on it. For the rifle range, continue to the left past the ramp for the archery range. It's a bit of a walk, especially if you're carrying a bunch of weapons and ammo. It's paved, and I believe they have golf carts available to help transport you if you're disabled or just need the help. There is a small shop where you check in, with accessories, ammo, and targets available for purchase, as well as various rifles available for rent. At the rifle range, you can shoot most calibers of rifle, shotgun, or handgun (but no hollow points), so it's fun for all. You can set up cardboard target stands or use the steel targets spread throughout the range. I'm not sure how far back it goes--probably about 75-100 yards. I've heard a rumor that if you bring in a watermelon or pumpkin, you can shoot it, but I haven't checked the validity of that yet. The only negative about the rifle range is that the only bathrooms there are porta potty's. For the pistol range and gun shop, when you pull into the parking lot, instead head to the right, where there is an additional smaller parking lot. There are some nicer bathrooms out front. Inside is the pro shop/gun shop, where the guys (I think their names are Frankie and Rick) are very helpful. If you want to try any of the handguns before purchasing, they have them for rent as well. There is a paper range and a steel range. I believe that, aside from handguns, you can also shoot small handgun-caliber rifles there. At the paper range you can shoot hollow points (at least that was allowed last time I was there), but not at the steel range. There are about 10-12 stalls on each range. I don't think either range extends past 75 yards. For the paper range, you can purchase targets at the shop or bring your own to put on cardboard stands. One of the guys there is extremely helpful if you need tips or have any questions. I believe his name is Page-hope I got that right. On the steel side, they have a plethora of steel targets set at different distances. The nice thing about the steel range is that you never have to stop and wait while people change out their targets. There are also an additional two speed plate lanes at the end that are first come, first served. Again, the employees do a good job of keeping an eye on everyone and maintaining a safe environment. Don't forget to bring ear and eye protection. But if you need it, they have both available. I don't think they currently charge you to borrow either. They also have memberships available, with massive discounts on the membership a couple of times a year during events. One tip - if it's your first time, make sure you fill out the waivers online before you go. It will save you time when you get there. There is a main waiver everyone signs, plus additional waivers for each range you plan on using (ie shotgun, rifle, archery, pistol, etc.). I highly recommend Oak Tree to anyone looking to try shooting for the first time, anyone looking to purchase a firearm and try it out first, and experienced shooters looking for a good, safe, convenient place to shoot.

Very pleasant range tucked away in the hills by Valencia/Santa Clarita…read more Good service at the desk, you can and should sign waivers in advance via their website for smooth processing. They have a great selection of rentals if you so happen to need it or want to try stuff out, pricing is available on their website. This visit I enjoyed their steel pistol range, they have an option to shoot paper as well on a separate part of the pistol range. The bays are nice and wide, lots of space to comfortably shoot on the steel range. Reasonable pricing and the location is a nice and quiet woodsy forest vibe. There is parking in front of the club/restaurant/shotgun range (Rifle is to the left), as well as if you hit a right, there was a bit of parking in front of the pistol ranges and gun store. This place is a must try for any hobbyist, recreational or professional shooter.

Have swung by a couple times, once to ask where the fish were biting, and once to rent a boat, get a friend a fishing license, and ask where the fish were biting. As a tackle shop it's pretty average, with some basic tackle and lures, with a refrigerated section that had nightcrawlers and lugworms (at least they were advertising it from outside, guess it makes good striper bait?) I don't recall if there were poles but I remember seeing some hooks and maybe some plastics. However they do sell fishing licenses which is nice, and the man working there had a ton of information regarding what baits and rigs to use, where to go, and how to go about finding and catching the fish, which is likely the most important aspect of a bait/tackle shop. As a snack shop it's not great. Some chips maybe and a fridge with canned cokes at like $1.15 or something. Nothing spectacular but adequate. As a boat rental facility it's quite nice. They have these 14 foot aluminum motor boats with a $75 deposit, $35/first hour with $10/each subsequent out and $65/full day which is a very fair price. The boats are simple but clean, can accommodate up to four adults, and have pretty decent power. One should always stop at all the local shop to get the lay of the land, but this shop really gave good advice and I caught four decent bass, 3 in a very specific recommended spot and rigged as suggested, so I was quite happy and satisfied with the service and advice received.

I've enjoyed shooting at Angeles Shooting Ranges over the years, which is why this experience was…read moreso disappointing. The range officer, James, was rude, unprofessional, and used profanity while interacting with customers. There is no excuse for treating paying customers that way. After my target frame broke while I was shooting, James ordered me to retrieve the broken frame. I complied, but afterward I reviewed the posted range rules and could not find any rule stating that customers are responsible for retrieving broken target frames. My issue isn't with following reasonable instructions--it's with being spoken to disrespectfully and being expected to follow what appeared to be an unwritten policy. If retrieving broken target frames is an official requirement, management should clearly post it instead of leaving customers to be confronted over it. After reading other reviews, I noticed multiple customers describing similar experiences with the same range officer. It makes me wonder whether customer feedback is actually taken seriously, because the same complaints seem to have been raised repeatedly. Safety is critical at any shooting range, but professionalism and respect are just as important. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses both the behavior of its staff and the lack of clear communication regarding this policy.
