Honestly, this location isn't the best. The inside was clean at least, but it smelled terrible for some reason. The service wasn't great either. One of the employees was helpful, but the rest were really rude and seemed to be inconvenienced by customers. Our order was correct, but it wasn't put together well and everything was soggy, as if it had been sitting for 30mins before we got it; that wasn't the case though. From the time we ordered to the time we received our food, it was no more than 10mins, so I don't know why it was soggy. We're not expecting 5 star quality (we know it's fast food) but at least a little better than what we got. I'd give the drive-thru a chance next time, or just online pick-up though. Hopefully it's better that way somehow? We're always willing to give a place a second chance, but we won't be dining in lol. read more

I decided to try the three new menu items tonight. Let's start with the Dulce Leche Delight 12 pack-I wouldn't call these sweet as much as I would call them RICH. Warm, rich and gooey. If you are ordering for just yourself, stick to the 2 pack. If you have 3-4 friends with you, then get the dozen. One may even be enough for just one person-it's that rich. The steak cheesy melt burrito @$3 was ok. I went easy on the spicier toppings, as I do not tolerate spicy well. This had a fair amount of steak, rice, some cheese and tasted pretty good. The steak chipotle ranch burrito @$3 seemed flat. Not much steak or anything else, but did have good browning on the burrito. The staff here are friendly. The food was pretty good. I got the beefy five layer burrito combo. I do however have some comments about it: 1. There was no over-the-counter menu, you could only search for food on the kiosk, which was very unfortunate because you do not know all of your options 2. My taco was completely crushed and might have well been nachos, but it still tasted really good so I don't especially mind that. 3. The line was very long and moved incredibly slow. They replaced our nacho fries with fiesta potatoes without asking or notifying us, since apparently they were out of nacho fries. Of the 4 other things in the order only two of them were correct. On top of all that, most of it was room temperature at best. My quesadilla wasn't even cut which I've never had happen before. I've been to a lot of Taco Bell's in my life but this has been the worst experience I've had. Service was awful basically a "here's whatever we put in the bag now get out of here" attitude. We ordered a number 10, (Grilled Cheese Steak Burrito, taco and drink), 2 cheesy roll ups, bean burrito, and chips and cheese. Did not even get the burrito, THE MAIN PART OF THE MEAL!! Got about a pound of cheese that came in a tray because they ran out of cups. And the Cheesy Rollups are a joke. Every time we get them they are just cold tortillas with shredded cheese thrown on them. Not melted at all! Never go to this Taco Bell!!! These people have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I witnessed a worker bring up an idea (that they should condense the cook line from 2 to 1 because they were short staffed) and the manager yelled in her face about how that wouldn't work. Me, My boyfriend and his cousin went to this Taco Bell after we left Boone super nationals on 9/8 and we went through the drive through. When we got to the speaker to order my boyfriend told the lady working the drive through the first part of his order in the middle of his order she told him to wait a minute she had another customer to deal with then comes back and asks him what else we needed and he told her the rest and also told her we were going to have a second order and she says "oh no we are not doing this your not going to take 3 minutes to order and then tell me you have a second order you going to have to come inside or go back around and order again" I did not know that there was a time limit on how long your order could take and it was very rude the way she said it. So we pulled around and my boyfriend went inside to talk to a manager turns out the lady that was being rude was the manager so my boyfriend asked for her boss and they said for him to call corporate. While he was inside she was being rude to all the other customer/worker cussing at them and being just straight up rude. That is terrible customer service. I do not recommend you eat here. Everytime I go to the Ames, Iowa Taco Bell there is always an issue and today was no exception. I went about 20 minutes after they opened for Breakfast and was told that they ran out of eggs?! Really??? how do you run out of eggs not even a half hour into your day? and why does it take 30 minutes to cook eggs? I think the breakfast crew at this Taco Bell just doesn't want to help customers as sometimes they are inside and working but just choose not to wait on people and not answer the drive thru.
