Taco Bell is the best fast food in the world. I would eat it three meals a day if it were legal. The problem is, if you ordered three times from the Ansonia location, your order would be wrong twice. The emloyees here are stupid. Straight up. They will get your order wrong here more then they will get it right. Be sure to check your bag before leaving the drive thru. You could feed all of the valley's homeless population for a month with all the food they've screwed me out of in my lifetime. Also, be sure to ask for sauce packets before they shut the window because they sure as hell won't offer them. Imagine eating this stuff dry? Ewww. The exception to the rule here is Sean. Sean has worked here for like 20 years and runs a tight ship. If he's working, your order will be correct and made deliciously. Guaranteed. I haven't seen Sean here in quite some time though. I am a regular customer and when I tell you this is the most useless TB location I genuinely mean it. I've ordered from this location 100+ times (not joking) and at least 75% of the time (not exaggerating) they mess up my orders. Ordering from this location is a HUGE gamble if you will get it correct or if they forget an entire box, or a drink, or even the nachos you ordered. What made me finally give this place a review is I ordered here the other day and my food was COMPLETELY COLD AND UNDERCOOKED. I was in genuine shock! And do the employees know how to read? How do they keep messing up my orders, the directions are right in front of you! Not to mention the ridiculous prices that is put in the app and in person... $9 delivery fee? Ha! I've been there probably ten times in the past 2 months, and every single time, they manage to screw up my order somehow. Whether they add ice to the drink even though I removed it or add lettuce to my taco even though I removed it, it's as if the employees are completely illiterate. It takes 2 seconds to glance at the order and see "no lettuce" or "no ice" before making the food or filling the drink, and yet they still manage to mess up. They also frequently forget the sour cream, which is a separate issue. Traumatizing. That's the only word I can use to describe this experience. It was earlier this evening, a Friday night. My 7-year-old had a really hard day, and I wanted to cheer him up. He asked for Taco Bell, and I said yes. I imagined we'd be home by 8:30--eating dinner, playing a video game together, just having a little time as a family before bed. Instead, we ended up having one of the worst nights I can remember. We pulled into the Taco Bell drive-thru around 8:10 PM, expecting a quick stop--maybe 10 or 15 minutes. We were trapped in that line for an hour and 45 minutes, finally leaving at 9:56 PM. When I say "trapped," I mean literally stuck with no way to get out. The drive-thru has one narrow lane with no exit. On the right, there's a full retaining wall. On the left, there's the menu board and curbing that wraps around the building. In addition to the menu, there's a patch of grass that might seem like an escape route at first glance. However, to use it, you'd have to drive over a large curb, across the grass, and then face a row of parked DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers on the other side. That area also has utility boxes that make maneuvering impossible. There was no path out--just a long wait with no option to leave. While we were stuck in line, things just kept getting worse. The SUV in front of us had a broken tail light--the light still worked, but the red cover was missing, so a harsh, unfiltered white light was shining directly into our faces. From the driver's seat, I held up a book for what felt like forever just to cast a shadow over my son's face and block the glare. After being hungry and tired for over an hour and a half in the car, my 7-year-old got carsick and threw up in the back seat. I felt completely helpless. I called my husband to vent about how awful the situation was, and he ended up calling the Taco Bell location three separate times trying to help. During the first two calls, they said they were short-staffed and overloaded with DoorDash orders. On the third call, he got a busy signal. He even thought about coming to help, but there was truly nothing he could do--we were physically stuck. Eventually, we reached the pickup window. I thought about just driving away, but I was torn. We had already waited so long, and I didn't want it all to be for nothing. I told the employee that my son had thrown up, and they kindly gave me an empty cup for him to use, which he did. They also gave me a cup of water for him too. I was grateful in that moment, thinking we were finally at the end of it. We ended up sitting at the pickup window for more than 20 additional minutes. During that time, my son threw up again. He was completely miserable. My 3-year-old was miserable too and fell asleep right as we finally got to the window--without eating dinner. I began waving to try to get someone's attention for more napkins, but no one noticed. I sat there crying, completely overwhelmed, while my son continued to be sick in the back seat. He never even ate the tacos he had been so excited for. Throughout all of this, DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers continued flowing in and out of the restaurant, picking up massive orders. It was obvious those app-based orders were being prioritized over the real families physically stuck in the drive-thru. The restaurant should have paused online orders to deal with the in-person backup first. It was unacceptable to let families sit in cars for nearly two hours while people at home got their food faster. This wasn't just a messed-up dinner. It was supposed to be a small gesture to help my son recover from a bad day. Instead, it became a night of vomiting, crying, and zero quality time together. I will never return to this Taco Bell. From now on, I'll gladly drive further to the Taco Bell in New Haven. At least there, I don't feel like I'm being held hostage in a curb-lined maze with no exit. Taco Bell: your drive-thru is a trap, your priorities are out of order, and the way this was handled was not just inconvenient--it was traumatic. Families deserve better. #TacoGate read more

Got stuck in their drive-through line for an hour and a half. Once there are cars in back of you, there's no way to exit the line because they have a curb and a median all the way up to the window. Yet the whole time, I keep seeing DoorDash/UberEats drivers, pulling up and leaving right away with bags of food, while people are literally trapped in their drive-through line. They prioritize the things. And, this location is always understaffed so it seems to have a chronic management malfunction. All of the employees there are super nice, though, and I feel bad that they're put in this impossible position. Not sure if this is the fault of the a GM's poor management or of the owner being too greedy/careless to hire enough staff, but this is epic management failure. As I was being greeted by the well spoken drive through worker. I thought I'd be well taken care of, but that's not what I received for my experience here. I ordered 3 burritos; to which all had rice that was undercooked beyond belief. I took a bite of each and all felt the same exact feeling, like I was chewing mini pebbles in my burrito. Absolutely the worst Taco Bell I ever been to. The staff appears to not care in the slightest about making the food correctly/they don't even put an effort in to be friendly to the customers. I ordered my meal on a kiosk to make the chances of it being screwed up less, and they still screwed up the ENTIRE ORDER. The quesadilla was dryer than the desert, the put tons of lettuce on my taco when I asked for no lettuce, they charged me 50 cents for sour cream on the second taco for my spouse and didn't even put any on it. This staff is one of the most responsive and down to earth staffs I have ever come across. In all my life, never have I experienced such a need to go to the bathroom. With that being said as they are rushing to close this kind and curious staff blessed me with the right to go to the bathroom. If you want to head "South of the Boarder" to T-bell, I'm sure you already know what you're in for...it's fast food. But, this location does a particularly good job in getting our order correct and they push the line along so well. Of course I like Taco Bell! Who doesn't love tacos? I've been eating here since I was a small child. I used to get their kid's meals when they had toys like Digimon in them. We went here every Saturday when my childhood friend came over. Anyway, the food. The food here is always good. I myself usually get a number four. Which has two tacos and a Mexican pizza. (You can even substitute the beef for beans if you want!) I also like the taco salad. The best part is at the end when you eat everything instead and then get to break the bowl, which is a taco shell, and dip it into salsa. Which leads me to the only time I was disappointed here. One night when I went here, I asked the woman running the drive-through for a side of salsa. She hands me fire sauce. I said, "I also asked for a side of salsa." She then asks me if I meant the red sauce they use on the burritos. No, I meant salsa. I gave no attitude by the way. THEN she asked if I meant pico de gaio. After I said no again, she said that they don't serve salsa. Are you kidding me? Yes, you do! I've been going here for 20 years! I just got it last week! I said none of that to her obviously. We all know how the food at taco bell is so there are no surprises there. The only thing Taco bell could possibly have going for them would be service. You guys suck so freakin baaaad its not funny. Every time I go through the drive through my order either gets totally screwed up or they leave the hot sauce out or a straw or whatever the case may be. I went through the drive through 5 times in a span of a week and a half and every time my order was badly screwed up. Why would I keep doing this if the service was so bad? I sometimes bring food home for someone else other than myself I would usually check the order to make sure it wasn`t screwed up then go back in and get it fixed. While I very much support giving the customer a choice of using salt or not, I consider them deciding for me to be wrong.
