While the service is fast and efficient, do not get burritos from here. I paid $15 for a burrito that I could eat in two bites. They put absolutely nothing in it. The Shelton Pancheros is my go-to when I'm craving a good burrito or burrito bowl! Everything always tastes fresh here and they pack those burritos full every time! They actually just remodeled too and it looks really nice. We went at peak dinner time and the staff moved everything along efficiently. This location refuses to give paying customers cups for water, which is the only restaurant I've ever been to that does this. Is the manager incompetent and inexperienced, or just a horrible human being? He should not be working in food service, and this place should be shut down. Great takeout Mexican food chain. In an area where good Mexican food can be scarce I'm glad they have a Pancheros. Their burrito wraps have funny things printed inside that made me smile as I unwrapped my tortillas. A group of us including three kiddos needed sustenance one evening so the guys were sent out to get a little something for everyone. It took a little while as the place was busy on the weekend but eventually they returned with our spoils. I had the burrito bowl with tofurizo - it doesn't sound enticing but it was actually really very good. Also an added bonus was it didn't give me any stomach pains or acid reflux as the sofritas from Chipotle sometimes cause. My friends and the kiddos had quesadillas, and burritos - all of us sat quietly entranced by our yummy food. The house was quiet for about 10 minutes before the kids were up and running around again. My daughter loves it, so we decided to try it out for ourselves. The concept is similar to Chipotle & Subways. As you pick your ingredients for the order, your burrito--in our case--is being assembled. I decided to go for steak & shrimp with rice, guacamole, bell peppers & onions, black beans, cheese, Pico de Gallo and corn. It's a pretty size burrito wrapped in a good tortilla. The taste is not bad, but I'm spoiled when it comes to burrito's having lived in California, and experienced the ones in Chicago, it's hard to beat the real deal. It's easy & fast for a quick fix lunch or dinner. Not bad, but IMO it can't beat authentic. read more

I've been here twice and am so glad I found it! The format is similar to Moe's or Chipotle where you build your order as you walk down the line. I love that this place makes the tortillas fresh right in front of you after you order your burrito. The ingredients looked fresh. They had six employees manning the serving stations which made everything quick and efficient. Before they rolled up my burrito they mixed all the ingredients around with a spatula. What a great idea! So now every bite has a tasty mix of ingredients unlike other places that don't and results in different bites tasting different: like one bite being mostly guacamole, the next mostly rice, etc. Why doesn't everyone mix the ingredients! I love it this way! The only con was that they don't include chips with your order- they cast extra. I will definitely be returning. read more

It was alright. It was ok. I feel bad and don't like to give negative reviews but I have to tell what I experienced. It was just ok. Nothing bad but just ok. Bland and again, just ok. I had a burrito with a blend of the two meats and all of the fixings. It came highly recommended from a few people I work with. I heard the other location is better. Screw this place. No social distancing at all. The markings are there, sure, but no one enforced them. When ordering, the staff is constantly inconsiderate of spacing and will keep asking for the next order. So when you end up telling your toppings, your almost shoulder to shoulder with people doing the same thing. And no one fucking cares. Not the customers or the employees. I had to tell people off to get away. I don't want to hear your breathing. I might be vaccinated, but I don't want to carry your germs to one of the immune compromised people I know. Far far superior to chipotle if you want a fast burrito. I really like the tofusada it is spicy and it doesn't mess up the burrito (as I sort of expected). This better than 'fast-food' restaurant has been a fave since it opened on Bridgeport Avenue. However- you're 'just as strong as your weakest link.' The girl(s) handling the end of the food service line/bagging and cashing out need some lessons on listening, manners when talking to (NOT AT) the customers. We had a quick bite this evening and the cashier was without a doubt one of the worst I have ever dealt with. She insisted that the quesadilla I watched from start to finish wasn't mine - tried handing me someone else's and when she was proven wrong continued to toss the quesadilla in our bag with definite attitude. I know teen/twenty attitude after teaching HS for 20 years. This was a prime example of someone that never heard the word, 'ACCOUNTABILITY'. This employee needs to be reprimanded in some capacity because it is toxic, unapologetic ATTITUDE like this that will lose customers. It's a basic fast food joint. Chicken and steak burritos were huge and tasty. Quesadilla was good. Chicken rice bowl was solid. We were able to customize each item. I agree with a previous reviewer - DO NOT order online because the portion that they give is less than what you would get in a child's meal. Any time savings that you get from ordering online won't be worth it when you receive your order. This is especially bad with bowls. I had ordered lettuce instead of rice and there were about 4 pieces. I called after opening my bag and was able to receive a refund, which I appreciated. The way they press the tortillas makes them explode out the side of the machine, and due to the way they press them... Now when you bite it, it's almost like it's stale. Oh! Also! They don't give you a new tortilla when there's a big ol hole in it? Like they used to??? (The hole is from how they pressed it) When they run out of their normal cheese (which seems to happen pretty frequently now), the queso changes drastically. I can't count how many times my drink has spilled on me because their covers are too big for their cups. I can't go in without getting irritated these days. It was OK. To be honest I was going to give them a two but the person I was with loved it. I did not. First off, their men u is extremely limited. They have no Nachos. It is more of a quick fix. My first and last trip here, shelton ct. Their quesadilla is pathetic. $9 for quesadilla with almost NO chicken. But person next to me gets a burrito that is Loaded with chicken for $10. Hope they go out of business. Sad when taco bell queasdilla has more chicken for less money. read more

The foods really good but the portion sizes are terrible. I typically get a bowl and the thing is less than half full with all the options I pick and if you order on the app, don't bother adding extra meat/tofu. They never put it in.
