I've been to lots of Taco Bells over the years, but this was my first Taco Bell Cantina experience. My son and I worked up an appetite after a show nearby. This Taco Bell Cantina was right by our parking garage so we decided to pop in for a late night bite. The place was busy. There's ample seating inside, but most of the tables were occupied and a bit messy. It was neat to see the different items they offered that aren't available at your usual TB. We placed our orders on one of their touch screens, and the food came out quickly. I ordered chocolate fudge and caramel empanadas, nacho fries, and a 2 pack Cinnabon Delights®. My son ordered a Diablo Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets Deluxe Combo. Taco Bell always slaps late at night. The nacho fries is one of my go-to orders, but the empanadas and Cinnabon delights were new to me. They satisfied my sweet tooth. The deluxe combo was plenty for my son and filled him up. read more

We got there just as they were opening this morning at 9. They dont serve breakfast items so that sucked but we ordered food anyways. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to be ready. The cinnamon twists were very stinky and tasted like burnt oil. I took 3 or 4 bites of my taco and couldnt eat any more of it. The restaurant quickly filled up with the homeless crowd that asked for food and had trash bags dripping liquid all over the place. Only reviewing their Alcoholic freeze = 4.6 (EVERYONE need Driver's License) This is a Cantina location which has the ability to serve alcoholic drinks but their policy is to "card" those purchasing alcohol. But after scanning your ID you remind the server which flavor (chose Piña Colada) you want and alcohol: tequila, vodka or rum. If they used a better grade of alcohol, I would have given a higher score but the fact that this is available at a Taco Bell is awesome! The inside of the store was dirty and the tables hadn't been cleaned. Compounding the table situation, there were unhoused people sleeping at two of the tables. Service here was a 2/10. I went here late at night and I know things can get crazy after concerts but I waited over an hour for my order. Online ordering is available but it's difficult to know if your order is ready or not as they don't notify you on the app or call your name when your order is ready if you online order. There was a good amount of seating available. I only had a short interaction with the staff since I chose to online order while I was waiting in line down the street but they were very personable. The food was just okay since some of the tacos weren't correctly modified/ some sauces weren't available but they were available on the app. It's nice to know they have drinks available, they are open late and there is options for seating but the food takes quite a while and the app isn't always up to date! read more

My first time at a Taco Bell Cantina or any Taco Bell for that matter. Overall food quality and taste is 1/10 for me. The only reason I'm giving it a 1 is because the Doritos locos tacos was not too bad but the chicken nuggets, chicken quesadilla was inedible for me. The service was fast and easy as you would expect any fast food. Ambiance feels like a true fast food experience, not really anything special. Would not go back. I've been to a few of the Cantina Taco Bell's. I love the concept. It's great if you want Taco Bell with a beer or margarita. This location was very busy but we were heading to a concert at Chase field and there was also another event going on downtown. We were able to order easily and only waited about 7-8 minutes for our food. They offer two outside areas to eat and inside. The inside it cramped when it's busy. We got lucky and got a two top table by the restroom with only one other table near so it wasn't crowded there. I was impressed by the way they fill the beer cups. They fill from the bottom and it's a perfect fill every time. The cost seems to be a little more than the regular locations. It was still more affordable than other places downtown without the wait. read more

After a conference with my buddy we decided to take a load off in the Taco Bell Cantina Cantina Cantina. Pours happened through the bottom of the cup and were then sealed by a magnet. Neat technology. My companion commented on how he's seen that before with his dad, who poked the magnet and spilled all the beer out the bottom. My friend then proceeded to spill his beer, from the top this time, to which the server joked "I thought you knew how to use this thing!" We had a laugh. These drunken teenagers entered the fray, chatting with us as we polished off a round of brews. One of these young lads asked us if he could trade shirts with him because he had just shoplifted from an H&M and got caught. He was trying to get in disguise. Being the dapper gentleman I was, I had an undershirt to give, so I traded him for his ratty sweater, which I then returned because it was a piece of crap. He came out of the bathroom with my vneck undershirt on, to which his friends clowned him for wearing. This was the best soft taco Supreme I have had in a while. Normally the ground beef is warm at best and the sour cream and veggies cool it even more. This was piping hot. And oh so good. I've lived in downtown Phoenix for six years. I want to enjoy the downtown Chipotle location. It never fails to disappoint however! Gave it a try today, after taking a month or so off, from my last bad experience. Despite high employee turnover, and the chances of hiring friendly help, this location NEVER has friendly, helpful staff! Never. Instead, it feels like the staff is put-out by filling orders. On today's visit the person who waited on me was squabbling with a fellow teammate. Their nasty energy spilled out to the customers in the lobby. I've experienced bad customer service at a number of Chipotle locations arou Phoenix, but this one is by far the worst! read more

I'm giving 5 stars to a Taco Bell. This is absurd. However, they really did deserve it. Our cashier (should I call them a waiter here? I really don't know) was extremely friendly, busting out free samples of slushy drinks to help us pair our rum/vodka. Also, we all got free soft shell tacos with our orders. Not sure how that happened - maybe there was a special deal going on? The fare was standard Taco Bell fare, but better. My burrito supreme was the biggest burrito supreme I've ever had. It was filled completely with ingredients. Usually burrito supremes have folds of tortilla inside; the Cantina's burrito supreme was busting at the seams with beef and saucy goodness. It was incredible. This is a great place to grab food and a boozy drink if you're headed into a basketball game but are low on time. Can't wait to check out the Taco Bell Hotel. read more

The best place for cheap fast food in this area of Phoenix. There's no other truly fast food. But wait- this isn't just any Taco Bell. It's a Taco Bell Cantina! The difference? Alcohol is served here. They have beer, plus vodka, rum, and tequila used to mix with their frozen drinks. Every beer comes with a themed magnet at the bottom. The frozen drinks come in margarita, piña colada, and their exclusive Mountain Dew Baja Blast - all virgin unless otherwise specified. My guilty pleasure on a hot day is a frozen Baja Blast. I have no idea what alcohol works best with that, but it's delicious whether you're spiking it or not. It's also good value for a frozen drink either way. They'll even let you order a double, if you're feeling weirdly irresponsible enough to do that at a Taco Bell. A great place to pregame the overpriced nearby sports bar. They have nice TVs, shaded outdoor seating, and pretty good service. The food is the usual Taco Bell fare. Stick to the classics and the cheap stuff, cause diminishing returns are real. I recommend it if you want to spend less than $10, you hate lines, and/or it's hot outside. read more

Okay Four Stars for effort to the Glen Bell folks for this new, limited number of stores Taco Bell Cantina. Sitrep: 1) Same TB menu as you would find in any TB in the US. They've added something they call "Sharable Items", which is nothing more than their seasonal menu, ie: Naked Chicken triangles or Crispy Chicken Quesadilla. 2) If "you like beer", as one of our jurist recently confessed on TV, then you'll love TB Cantina. They have a bunch of choices, from Lager to IPA. The cups have magnets in the bottom, which where the beer is filled. 3) If you like something stronger, they can add Tequila, Rum or Vodka to their frozen Slurpee to make a Margarita ($4.10), see photo. It was pretty good. I had a single, but they can make a double if you are, um thirsty. Expect to be carded though, as I was. LOL. They have a fancy "Black Light" reader for Drivers Licenses. Pretty cool. Clearly Taco Bell Cantina is playing catch-up here to Chipotle. And, Chipotle been making margaritas at their stores now for five plus years. 4) Okay let me confess. The real reason this Taco Bell Cantina gets Four Stars is for their effort to rebrand and reinvent themselves. Also, I'm giving them high marks for Food Prep. Yes, they have this glass window where you can watch them make your food. Sound familiar? But they have more meat in their Tacos & Burritos than I've ever seen in any TB before. Ever! No cheapening it here. I guess that's the real difference between a corporate store and a franchise operator, huh? One funny aside, we ordered a Double Cheesy Gordita and ended up getting a double layer of taco meat. No cheese. LOL. I thought it was pretty good. I have stuck my head inside the TB Cantina on Las Vegas Blvd. It was never time to eat but I liked the idea that Taco Bell is pulling up it's BIg Boy pants! Last week Phoenix got it's first Cantina! In all fairness it feels like a stunt. They got a ton of media coverage on the local TV News stations and even more on social media. What I experienced today was a very small and busy Taco Bell Downtown with premium liquor to mix into cravable slushies. The food was as good as any Taco Bell experience in 45 years or so. I can remember in 1980 driving with my sister 40 miles in MA to find a Taco Bell to throw a munch. We did this because we grew up in Ca with a Taco Bell around the corner and yes It's cravable, and it still is. A suggestion by a buddy to hit the Cantina got a quick response from me. "Hell Yes" "noon" "im in" FOOD and BEV: Well assembled and tasty although the make table had some issues. Number one was as I glanced the table I noticed the onions were past their prime. Raw translucent wet onions and as I noticed I heard the big boss call for more onions. I was thinking BELL YESS! until after that that same manager made my burritos with those same sad onions instead of pulling the deep #6 pan and waiting for better. -2 stars! I'm not sick yet, so lets move on to drinks. BEV: I really wouldn't have drank today but my companions said lets do it, oh the pressure-sure! margarita it is! It was a premium tequila measured and poured into a slushy of some sort. Authentic...naw, but neither are the tacos, was it tasty... it was sweet and tart and worth the less then $6.00 price tag. certainly not the worst cocktail I have ever had. I'd never been to a Taco Bell cantina before. The concept is nice because of the familiar name. I think the difference between a regular Taco Bell and a TB cantina is the ability to serve alcohol. This location is right down the street from the arena and I imagine pretty busy during the night life. Doors were all locked, even though it said open til 2, and there were plenty of people inside. had to literally jump over the patio fence to get inside. When inside, we ordered a spiked Baja blast and the lady tells us that they stop serving at one. BEFORE ONE!!! We go sit down to wait for our food and we watch the cashier serve another customer a spiked Baja blast TOGO!!!! I ask to talk to the manager and have a time stamped receipt showing we paid before 1 am and the manager and employee talk in front of us but never actually come to the table.
