I had the Pollo Felipe, grilled chicken breast topped with shrimp, cheese sauce & vegetables with rice on the side. A friend recommended it & she ordered it two nights in a row! My other friend got the Enchiladas Suizas--she said the pork on top was fall apart tender & delicious. Great margaritas! We went traditional, on the rocks with salt. Upon entering you can quickly see the furnishing have been there a while so they are definitely dated. Lots of locals out for dinner. A real homey place. Server was fairly prompt and courteous. I ordered their restaurant named dish which came out in a timely manner. The issue was when I dug into the food. I'm normally pretty easy to make happy with food but this dinner stands out. The refried beans were plain and one step thicker than soup. The rice, the rice I can't put my finger on it but like the beans I refused to eat more than two forks worth. OK, the burrito will be good. Well, guess what, the meat (burger) tasted like there was no seasoning at all. OK, the chips were good and the dipping salsa was passable. Would I go back? No way. The staff was friendly and no pressure or hassle ordering or delivering the food but the food was just plain bad.
