Stopped by to grab a bite quick, so we wouldn't delay in making it to the balloon fest in Howell. Had to check the web to confirm they had chicken and other protein besides beef for the birria tacos. They had me at Chicken Tinga. Order at the counter. Small dining area, 6 tables and two benches to wait for your order. 3-6 tables outside. Ordered chicken tinga tacos, flauta, chicken burrito, chip and red salsa, guacamole, two side of beans, no cheese, Mandarin Jarrito. $45.62 The staff asks if you are paying with cash and charge. I only got a total charge copy, so I imagine they passed on the 3%+ credit card fee in my overall total. Their guacamole is quite good and is rather spicy with the fresh jalapeño in it, it's medium spicy maybe. It's about the spiciest guacamole I have ever had without specifically asking for it to be spicy. The chicken Tinga burrito was big, super cheesy, messy as ever, but good. Prepare for your fingers and hands to be covered. The burrito comes with a side of chips, ok. The chicken flauta is okay, the meat is a decent amount. The corn tortilla is rather greasy, chewy texture too, not crunchy. The bean side is big, probably could have shared one. The chicken Tinga tacos are okay, the meat is good at least. Corn tortillas are soggy. The chicken Tinga meat is flavorful on its own. The chicken Tinga meat and the guacamole is the best part of the meal.

What a gem of a local spot! Glad we stopped into try La Finca, we really enjoyed the food. Prepared well and both of our entrees were very flavorful. I had the quesabirria taco combo (I ordered it with no beans) and both the tacos and consommé were excellent. Amy had the Asada quesadilla which was both huge and delicious. Service with a smile and a nice little spot to sit with outdoor seating as an option when the weather gets nice. Salsa and chips were great and both the red and green sauces were on point. We will definitely be back!

Food was great! We also got chips and salsa, tacos are a decent price and taste great! Service was fast and plenty of seating.

Took my son shopping and stopped to grab a quick lunch. First time here but based on the reviews and our love of Mexican we definitely wanted to give it a go. This place is nothing fancy (walk up to the counter and order and they bring it out when your food is ready). Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Even the restroom was clean-a huge plus in my book!! Food was very tasty and I felt the price was reasonable. My son and I both enjoyed our flautas and we will definitely be back whenever we will be in the area. If you like Mexican, give it a try!

SUCH good food!!! We've been searching high and low for a place like this since relocating to Livingston County from out west. YUM!!! Great food, ambience, and music. Clean. Friendly service. We forgot to get pictures of the food because we were busy stuffing our faces.

It feels like we are clubbing in here. Can't have a conversation really. The corn chips are not fresh, could be better if they were freshly made. I want the chips to be good. The elote seems to be mixed with the queso, which is really runny. It tastes better, but could be thicker. The guacamole is average, not a lot of flavor to it. Main food orders in after about 15 minutes after we were seated. The flautas are super dry, the chicken that is. The chicken isn't even jerky like, just bark like burnt. The lobster quesadilla tastes rather interesting. On closer examination after the odd texture of the lobster, it had the strangest layers to it, reminds me of the Krab. Something quite odd about their lobster for sure, comes across to me as imitation meat. Hard to describe how weird it was to me, has completely left me at a loss and utterly confused. Meat doesn't have the chew I expected at all, mostly disintegrated in my mouth without biting it and the odd layers really threw me off exceedingly. My husband asked our waitress about the nature of the lobster meat to Nikki. She asked the kitchen if the lobster meat in the quesadilla and enchiladas was real lobster meat. The kitchen of course said yes, it is. I wouldn't have expected anyone to say the lobster meat was imitation though. Such a strange meal and experience tonight.
