We did carry out, so the four stars is for cleanliness of the restaurant, quick service and serving size. I was very shocked that it was seasonless. There was no spice. There was nothing separating each ingredient in the bowl in terms of taste. It was all just one note and the note was Nothing. The consommé was also flavorless, but it did help with the dryness of the birria. The tacos were hearty and well balanced, loaded with flavorful meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, no skimping anywhere. The huevos con chorizo burritos were a little inconsistent. One had a larger amount of egg but small amount of chorizo, the next one had a pretty even amount. Both were mixed with refried beans. We got a few salsas on the side on request (Roja and Verde, the Roja was spicy). Parking is available in a small strip lot. We'd go back to try more of their menu.

What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.
