Always forget something in my order or mess it up. The food is fine could be better. The ambience was very unsettling.

Absolutely STUPID! Ordered the 3 Crunchy Tacos for later that night when most places are closed. NO SOUR CREAM! Ugh! Doesn't anybody THINK?!

No friendly service and not accommodating to COVID conditions by utilizing the drive thru for online orders.

We went with small ($6.99) and they were A LOT OF ICE and not much liquid. We ordered another small and finally ordered a large ($10.99) with more liquid, but still A LOT OF ICE. Consider beer next time. Our guacamole dip ($6.99) was good with their chips. I do like that they offer Toreados ($3.99), which are three grilled jalapeno peppers and some grilled onions. I asked for well-done peppers and they were not. If they are grilled or fried, they are soft and less hot. A great accompaniment to your meals...if well cooked. Wife had a wonderful beef and cheese quesadilla especial ($16.99) and I had a taste and agreed with her assessment. She brought half of this order home. If I come back this is what I would order and recommend to others. I asked with three cheese enchiladas ($7.99) with onions cooked inside them, covered with salsa verde (green sauce) rather that the tired old red sauce which is like the dip served with chips. I got what I ordered which came without rice &/or beans. However, I had to send them back to be heated. The cheese had not melted well. I did not like this order. Their service is great. Attentive and active, with our waitress, Evelyn, being in constant motion. She could be called speedy. She did a super job.

I was solo so It's nice to have something watch besides your phone. The beer was cold, I had a draft, excellent pour. And the 3 sauces I got with chips were the best I've had in Charlotte. The salsa, delicious, the hot salsa, fire, delicious fire. And the tomatillos sauce, the best I've ever had. Servers wear elbow length oven mitts when they bring plates, cautioned me while putting it down. I'm used to that with fajitas but I had enchiladas and almost everything that I saw served while there came out hot. Impressive. My food was top notch and the portions large. My server checked on me quite often and brought anything I asked for immediately. One of the managers was circulating too, speaking to every table. Again, impressive. Great food, excellent server, very inexpensive for Ballantyne. I don't think you'll find better for less anywhere in Charlotte. I will be eating there again.

The servers are fantastic, the food is amazing, and the lunch specials are to die for. Their lunch menu is great and has great variety (even breakfast too). It's usually half full for lunch and it's always actual Mexicans eating there, so you know the food is authentic. For dinner the menu is also great and on weekends they usually have live music and the ambience is pretty nice. It's usually really packed on weekends and Fridays so get there early, but the wait is so worth it. P.S. here's my order recommendation, ask for the spicy salsa or salsa verde (they're free!!!) and for lunch get the Lunch Cheese Steak Burrito or the Lunch Burrito Mexicano; for dinner I usually get the Arroz con Pollo: Texas Style, but you can't really go wrong, just don't get any of the combos or numbered dishes.

I asked they hold the onions/pico de gallo but when I got them...they forgot. He offered to re-make them and I said, no that's OK, I'll just pick the onions off. He said there was a miscommunication between him & the cook, so...it happens. He added a ground beef taco for free, so I was good with that. These are 'street tacos' which all that really means is they are on the small side. You have a choice of corn, flour or hard corn tortillas/shells. They will add taco sauce if you wish. The quality is very good, they are fresh and flavorful. Their prices are reasonable as well, $2.75 to $3.75 each. They also have cold beverages on ice, soda and water. The guy at the register told me that business has been good post COVID. They are committed to the location by the Fairway ABC store at the corner of Route 160 (Tom Hall) and Route 460 (Fort Mill Parkway). They plan to add an awning and picnic tables and begin to serve breakfast in the near future. They will also continue to be at the Walter Elisha Park for the summer concert series. He said they had considered a brick & mortar store in Fort Mill but have put that idea on hold. NOTE: NO CASH -credit cards only!

Nice, varied menu with conventional items, like hamburgers and egg omelettes along with Mexican staples, like burritos and quesadillas and limited BBQ items. Also a kid menu, so this is a family place to eat. Wife had steak street tacos ($13). Nicely served on a metal curved plate with each taco separate from the others. I tasted one and the meat was rather flavorless. Looked good, but was not, to our taste, good. I ordered the brisket sandwich and asked for it to be "lean". BBQ usually is served with the fat and I want to limit my fat intake. The sandwich ($16.50) came on a soft bun heaped with pieces of sliced meat. Very dry and absolutely no fat. A mixed blessing as it was, like the steak taco meat, dry and not much flavor. The service is great and management is fully focused on what is going on in the restaurant. Our server was Marconi M. who was also on the cash register at times. Very attentive. It is wonderful to have a restaurant in Van Wyck and we will be back to sample some more. Please give it a try.
