I visited this Taco Bell (Middleton, Wisconsin), walking in to get food to go. As I approached this location, I was pleased to see how new and inviting the storefront was, along with the cleanliness of the premises. As I entered, I was immediately amazed at how clean and well-kept the inside was as well....it was immaculate. This is even more impressive because I came here shortly after dinnertime. While inside, I approached the menus in the front of this business and then I realized why this Taco Bell was so clean. As I started to glance through the menu, a young lady kindly asked if I was ready to order while she was cleaning and organizing the store. I said I'd be ready in just a couple of minutes, so she told me to just let her know when I'm ready and she would be happy to take my order. This young lady was well worth whatever she was making because not only was she hardworking, but she had a kind demeanor, which is excellent for customer service. In addition, she was also wearing a headset and working the drive-thru, so she was obviously taking multitasking to a whole new level. Shortly after I ordered my meal with her, a friendly and professional young man gave me my food, and he was kind enough to engage in some small talk with me. As with the young lady, this young man knows customer service. I love to engage with friendly people. Immediately after returning to my nearby hotel room, I quickly devoured my meal. I suspect that the young man who delivered my food was also the one who made it. He did a great job; It was delicious. The majority of Yelpers who have visited this Taco Bell gave it a poor rating, which is really confusing to me. That was certainly not my experience. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm stopping here for a great meal and friendly service. read more

This is a fast food restaurant and I think anyone who gets over analytical over fast food restaurant is just absolutely losing their minds. I'm here to write about the staff. The staff was great! I came in and ordered on the screen. It was fast and efficient. At first, it was completely empty but after I got my food and came out there was like 9 cars lined up. I was super hungry and decided to grab some tacobell as it reminds me of home. I came to Wisconsin for a business trip and this was the closest thing to where I was staying. The food quality taste the same as any other taco bell I have ever been to. When my name was called to grab my order the young gentlemen asked if I ordered a drink I said no but asked if I wanted one anyways. I hate giving 1-star reviews, but sometimes, you just have to. I had a simple order. 12 soft-shell tacos - all without lettuce, and all with rice added. I was driving through, so when it was ready, I simply went back home. Upon arriving back home, we found there were various amounts of lettuce on 9 of the 12 tacos (all had rice, so they knew the order). Kinda feels like they were on auto-pilot, putting lettuce on, just to find out no, no lettuce. So instead of building proper tacos, they tried picking it off? Like, some had traces, others had more. Just poor. So after getting home and realizing this, I drive back to the store to get it fixed. The fine person at the counter was apologetic and got the manager. It felt like I was bothering the manager, who flatly said, "how many". I said, 9 and she took the box and threw it away - and they made me nine more. The kind counter person brought them out and apologized again. I pointed out the 45 minutes of my time it wasted and got a blank stare. No effort to compensate - not even a cinnamon twists (which wouldn't have been adequate, but it would have shown SOME effort). This location has gone downhill. Sorry. A simple order shouldn't be botched (it wasn't busy). And if it is, show some good customer service. read more

Dude... I am so sick of AI. They use AI for you to order your food through the drive through. At the end, they ask you if they can convince you to buy nacho fries... BROOOO... I said NOOO I DONT want any NACHO FRIES LOL but they put it on my damn order every single time !!! This is by far the WORST place in Dane county! No matter how many employees they go through, they can't seem to find kind workers! They cannot get an order right for the life of them and when you go in to correct it they get defensive and talk CRAZY! Absolutely made my day. The other Taco Bells in Madison cannot compare. Service was immaculate. Asked me how my day was & gave me a heads up on outages (they didn't have any Milds, but that's okay!). Was having a horrible day and tried to go to the mineral point one but their drive thru was closed, so, on the verge of tears, I arrived, begrudgingly, to this location only to be met with warmth and comfort. They must know only the vulnerable crave Taco Bell at noon on Sundays, or they are just super nice all the time. The Crunchwrap was, indeed, supreme. Going through a drive-thru has a level of speed that is expected. It's not just this Taco Bell location that is struggling to get orders out, but I was here so they get the review. I was behind one car that was giving an order. I don't know if it was the car's driver or the drive thru that was having the delay but it was eating into my time. Once that car moved up, I gave my order quickly but then again I sat behind this car waiting for an extended period of time for their food to be handed to them. The reason for the three stars, was the young man at the window. He was pleasant and smiling. Food was a bit quicker to come out to me than the car ahead of me. This Taco Bell sucks. Nachos always have close to zero nacho cheese on them, a HUGE slab of gross retried beans right in the center, 3 tomato peices, a tiny dash of sour cream/guac that I replace the beef for. Every. Time. 5 layer burritos are the same way, proportioned awfully. First bite you'll get beef, second you'll get all the gross "beans" then the rest is just mostly those gross beans, maybe a little beef and a dash of sour cream. Nacho cheese also a bare minimum. Oh and they ask if you want sauce and you tell them which kind but they don't put it in the bag. Sucks. read more

I don't usually write reviews for fast food places, but the staff at the Middleton Taco Bell deserve some recognition. I can honestly say I was shocked at how good the service was. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and polite, and I got my food very quickly. This was during lunch hours by the way. It is really nice to see people take pride in their work. read more

I admit that I like the Steak Chalupa's at Taco Bell and this location is the closest one to where I work. Usually I do the drive thru unless it's crowded and then I'll pop inside and order. Today I decided to try the Taco Bell App that they advertise with posters plastered all over the store and on commercials on t.v. I have to say, I was not impressed. The app was tough to use and after I finally got the order placed, I had to wait in the store. First the app. Granted I'm not a computer geek but I've played enough computer games in my day to figure things out pretty well and this app is not very intuitive. I was impressed that I had a coupon good for $2 off a purchase of $10 (which is a lot of food for one person at TB!) but there were no clear directions on how to use it. Once I figured that out (you have to choose it first and then place your order) I had to figure out how to order what I wanted. That was a little easier but still took a few tries to figure it out. Finally got my order ready, went to check out and got a message that the coupon couldn't be used and read the restrictions....which I could not find. I'm guessing that the local Taco Bell wouldn't take them, so I had to start over. Finally got the order placed (you might want to enter your credit card info at the very beginning through the application menu) and a screen pops up asking if you're picking up in the drive-thru or in store. I clicked on the drive-thru and received a message to wait on choosing an option until I'm close to or in the store. When I arrived about 10 minutes after placing the order, and based on the very long drive-thru line, I pulled over, clicked on 'In Store' and I'm here, and then parked. I went inside and there is a special line just for app placed orders. the gentleman behind the counter was very quick to ask if I wanted to place an order and I mentioned I'd placed it via the app and was just waiting. Then I waited....and waited...and waited...and watched all the cars that had been in line at the drive-thru, place and pick up all their orders before I got mine. I was all the way out to my car by the time I realized that I was supposed to get a drink with my meal, which was part of the ordering process, and had to go back in to get that. The overall process will probably go more quickly the next time around but the amount of time that I spent placing my order, and then waiting when I got there, kind of defeated the purpose of the app. I will say that I do like going to this Taco Bell location. The place is always clean, the employees are friendly (especially the lady that works the drive-thru window most days), and the food is always good. While it doesn't look quite like the commercials on t.v., it's a lot closer in comparison to what the burger chains show you and what's delivered. I also like the fact that when you eat in, you can get refills on your drink and top it off before you leave. I gave 4 stars for the location and employees however, if I were to include the app in the overall review (which would not be fair), I'd have to give it 3 stars. read more

The girl that helped me today in the drive thru must be new. Worst experience I've had at this T Bell. Took way too long to order (she didn't know what I was ordering). Took about 10-15 minutes to get the food, then since I was now pressed for time, when I open my bag once I got to work, it is the entirely wrong order. I ordered and paid for a bacon am crunch wrap and bacon eg and cheese biscuit taco with a coffee and got 2 sausage am crunch wraps. Not even close!! I've been waiting at the drive-thru for 15 minutes and there's still 3 cars ahead of me. This is not "fast food".

I created a Yelp account just so I could write a review for this particular Taco Bell. The service was decent, but the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered at 830 on a Thursday and every taco shell and tortilla was hard and stale. I had a chicken cheesy gordita crunch and it was absolutely inedible. I threw out the gordita and 1 and a half tacos. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a Taco Bell and I frequent them often. read more

I ordered pintos & cheese and a 7-layer burrito. The beans were rock hard, so I tried to talk to the person at the counter. I only wanted to let him know that there was something wrong with the beans so they could fix it- I figured that they didn't know. I have been eating them at Taco Bell for years, so I am pretty sure they shouldn't be rock hard. The first worker told me that there was nothing wrong with the beans, that they were just "super low quality". Things got worse when I spoke to James, the manger.
