Wow this Tbell needs some work. While the workers are super friendly and the place is very clean, the food took forever. I waited thirty minutes for food, I don't think I've ever waited that long for Fast Food. Thank goodness I went inside, waiting in drive thru would have taken forever. The issue is after waiting so long, the order was messed up. You would think waiting over thirty minutes, the order would at least be right. I hope this place will work on speed of service and order accuracy

Order chicken quesadilla with easy creamy jalapeno sauce. Was told by Austin he made it himself and it had to of had easy sauce. Picture speaks for itself.

Poorly staff- waited 35 minutes in drive thru with only two cars ahead. You need to have more than two people covering on a Friday night!

It has authentic mariachi music playing softly, and the decor is done in South of the border flair. It's an authentic down-home mom and pop owned and operated Mexican restaurant, that serves excellent food. I've been dying to get back in to this place and am glad we finally did! The owners are a really nice husband and wife team that actually walk around and thank people for coming in, and try to share a laugh with every person that comes in. They also work as waitstaff, bar and kitchen. They really seem to enjoy what they do, and the food speaks for itself. Pricing was very good per person, generally all under $20 each, and chips and salsa made fresh daily and is served to everyone. They have multiple different flavored margaritas shown as a signature, and serve a bunch of Mexican beer, in addition to standard domestic and regular mixed drinks. We ordered the sizzling combo fajitas and the chimichanga dinner, Both good choices. I highly recommend going here. If you aren't a big Mexican food fan they have steak on the menu, but the atmosphere, attention to guests and the owners directly involved makes this a great place to stop in. They can take large parties also. We've been looking for an authentic (mom's kitchen style) Mexican restaurant since moving from the desert southwest, this is it. Spread the word, they could use the business. We will be back.

I got the chicken tacos and 8oz side of rice and beans. Their menu read confusing, as they didn't have prices on the different meats, and tacos ranged from $2.99-$3.99 so I wasn't even sure how much my tacos would come to. I also thought it was 8oz combined of rice & beans for like $2.99 but I believe it rang up as individual 8oz containers. My total for the plate (3 tacos) & sides came to ~$16 without a tip or drink. The chicken tacos were SO bland. I tried adding more lime, the grilled onions, radishes, both the red and green salsas, and even rice and beans but nothing could rescue the flat flavor of nothingness every time I bit into my tacos. My red salsa that came with my plate was genuinely lame, it had hints of Tabasco sauce? Like they were trying to make it so spicy without any actual depth or flavor. I expected more from this place. I did try my friends steak from his taco and it was a bit more flavorful, so perhaps I got the wrong meat. Their employees were very nice and service wasn't too long, restaurant clean but limited seating! I would only return here to try the California burrito. I can find similar prices and great quality elsewhere.

The chips, salsa and guacamole I ordered were good but not to the level of the Mongolian taco. Relative to the restaurant itself, it is kind of tucked away on the side of a small strip mall and not readily visible from the road. You need to be purposely looking for this restaurant to see it , which based on all the good reviews, a lot of people apparently do which means its business is being generated by word of mouth. Nice! Also of note, this is a counter order take out business model with no indoor seating and just two small tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant (4 total chairs). Something to keep in mind if you are looking for an indoor dining option. Overall, I believe the more traditional Mexican food options are good at this restaurant but it is the unique/fusion options that make this business stand out from other Mexican restaurants in the area. These unique food twists will be the primary driver of my return visit, which I will definately be doing, to sample some of their other fusion options that they offer. Definately a restaurant to seek out and sample if you are in the Milford area.

From the doubled up corn tortillas, to the tender well cooked meat, cilantro and their wonderful sautéed onions these Street style Taco's are as authentic as anything you would get in Mexico. The gratis house chips and Salsa were equally tasty and a nice complement to the Taco's all being washed down with a sugar cane based Mexican coke. The total bill came in at a very reasonable cost of $12 which is a great value in today's economy and a great deal by any standard. Relative to staff and facility, this appears to be a small family run business where the restaurant itself is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Franklin and Square Lake Rd with an equally small footprint for the restaurant. This is a very unpretentious business (think hole in a wall but in a nice way) with a limited number of dining tables and small staff. Having said that, I had no problem in getting seated and getting my order taken and food brought out in fairly quick order! I have been on a kick for a while now trying to find the best taco joint in the the northern Oakland county area and have to say this is as good as I have come across up to now and am a big fan of this business. If you are into well made authentic Mexican street taco's than this is a must visit for you. This was my first visit here and definately will not be my last where I will be combining this dining venue with my regular Bloomfield Hills Costco trips which is a Quarter mile from the restaurant.

It feels like we are clubbing in here. Can't have a conversation really. The corn chips are not fresh, could be better if they were freshly made. I want the chips to be good. The elote seems to be mixed with the queso, which is really runny. It tastes better, but could be thicker. The guacamole is average, not a lot of flavor to it. Main food orders in after about 15 minutes after we were seated. The flautas are super dry, the chicken that is. The chicken isn't even jerky like, just bark like burnt. The lobster quesadilla tastes rather interesting. On closer examination after the odd texture of the lobster, it had the strangest layers to it, reminds me of the Krab. Something quite odd about their lobster for sure, comes across to me as imitation meat. Hard to describe how weird it was to me, has completely left me at a loss and utterly confused. Meat doesn't have the chew I expected at all, mostly disintegrated in my mouth without biting it and the odd layers really threw me off exceedingly. My husband asked our waitress about the nature of the lobster meat to Nikki. She asked the kitchen if the lobster meat in the quesadilla and enchiladas was real lobster meat. The kitchen of course said yes, it is. I wouldn't have expected anyone to say the lobster meat was imitation though. Such a strange meal and experience tonight.

I asked what was up and the lady came over to explain I was incorrect and "Quesa" just means it has cheese on it and they actually did bring me the right order. She said if I spoke Spanish or if we were in Mexico it would make sense. I've probably ordered thousands of quesadillas for me and my kids in my years. Another lady came out and said let's just remake it but by then I was so completely proven wrong since I don't speak Spanish that I just kept the order. I didn't want to waste the food either. Pro Tip: If you want to order the quesadilla version you have to say "Barrira quesadillas" because ordering it under the quesadillas section will just get you tacos. "Barrira quesadillas" also wasn't listed on the menu but they make it. Maybe last couple times they asked what version I wanted... or it was on a specials board...idk. I suggested they move the combo under the taco section but I guess that wont make sense in Spanish since none of their taco have cheese but combo does?? I only got a total charge copy, so I imagine they passed on the 3%+ credit card fee in my overall total. Their guacamole is quite good and is rather spicy with the fresh jalapeño in it, it's medium spicy maybe. It's about the spiciest guacamole I have ever had without specifically asking for it to be spicy. The chicken Tinga burrito was big, super cheesy, messy as ever, but good. Prepare for your fingers and hands to be covered. The burrito comes with a side of chips, ok. The chicken flauta is okay, the meat is a decent amount. The corn tortilla is rather greasy, chewy texture too, not crunchy. The bean side is big, probably could have shared one. The chicken Tinga tacos are okay, the meat is good at least. Corn tortillas are soggy. The chicken Tinga meat is flavorful on its own. The chicken Tinga meat and the guacamole is the best part of the meal.

I ordered the Birria Tacos because it was only beef tacos in the Taco section of the menu. The birria tacos are made with slow cooked beef. It was a little chewy and my corn tortillas were falling apart. I had to resort to eating them with a fork. I later ordered tacos for a friend to-go and I was shown the ala carte section at the back of the binder with ground beef tacos for purchase for one or three tacos. I believe those were better than mine with hard shells. The service was fine. They were very quick in bringing our food. We started out with chips and salsa. I would have liked individual saucers for the three of us so we weren't continuing to dip our chips in the same bowl of salsa. The restaurant is a nice size.
