Got my order totally wrong. Gave me three random tacos? I bought 2 burritos and nacho fries. Never coming here again.

I was in the area and realized I hadn't had anything to eat on my way to Ann Arbor. As I traveled along Haggerty Road looking for a fast food restaurant, I spotted the Taco Bell. Since I hadn't been to an authentic Mexican restaurant in a couple of weeks, I thought it would be fitting to travel 'south of the border' and order up a couple burritos. While none of the staff seemed to have any hint of a Mexican accent, I still took the plunge and placed my order. One of the burritos had potatoes, reminiscent of the most delectable Swedish Potato Sausage I have had from Dearborn Sausage. I readily recognized the chunky potato bits as I ate the burrito and wondered to myself if this is a seasonal offering, or if perhaps it will become one of the standard menu items. We shall see. My memory fails me when I try to recall the name of the other burrito, but it was indeed flavorful and a delight to eat. As I had ordered one of the burritos as a meal deal, I also received tasty nacho chips to dine on. I was in the area and I was hungry for Mexican food. It was 10:27pm and saw Taco Bell so I stopped here. I always prefer to eat inside and sit down. So all the lights are on inside the restaurant and I pull up and look at the open close sign next to the door says the dining room closes at 11:00pm. I pull on the door and its locked. I walk around thinking maybe they only leave the side door open next to the main parking lot and those are locked. I look up and motion to the guy why the door is locked. He just motions to his arm like looking at the time and walks off. Real nice Taco Bell. Why have a closing time if you close earlier. read more

Here's an amazing factoid about this Taco Bell: A couple of years ago, instead of refurbishing the existing building, they razed it and a brand new Taco Bell was standing in its place less than two months later. I try not to visit here too often, because I know it's not healthy, but sometimes, ya just gotta have Taco Bell. Tonight was one of those nights. I tried the Pacific Shrimp burrito and was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful (not just hot) it was. Maybe it's because of the yummy Fire Roasted sauce I added. It's a relatively new sauce and I love it! I even added it to my Fiesta Potatoes - yum! Most Taco Bells I've been to are hit or miss about order accuracy and service quality. I love pulling up to the drive threw 44 minutes to close and the RUDE drive threw attendant yelling "WE CLOSED" disgusting. This night staff needs a total revamp. 30min wait minimum per car at drive through. Taco Bell near 8 Mile and Haggerty at 12:19AM. If you're the 4th car in line expect to wait 2 hours minimum for fast food. If you can't serve food let the customers/cars know in the drive through, maybe turn off the drive through lights. Don't let a large line of people sit for hours in the drive through. Fast food Restaurants that can't serve within 5min need to shutdown. Too much focus on online orders, no focus on drive through orders. read more

never post bad reviews but I am so mad about this... I ordered 3 beefy melt burritos during my lunch break and waited in line 20 minutes and only got 2 but charged for three. Unfortunately the doors to go inside were locked or i would've just dined in in the first place and I couldn't go in and get the last beefy melt. I ordered 2 bean burritos--probably the most badic menu item. After 15 minutes, I asked where those burritos might be. "Oh, they got lost" was the reply. The guy in back dropped his broom and made them in 30 seconds. It seems you have to be in the drive thru in order to be ensured faster service (I was in the dining room). ITS 12am after an 11 hour day. I haven't eaten in 36 hours. This location fed us when NOBODY ELSE WOULD. We literally went to 5 locations and NOBODY served us. We pulled up HERE and NOT ONLY did they serve us promptly, but we're MORE THAN HAPPY to take our money AND MAKE OUR FOOD RIGHT. The food was probaly the hottest and freshest food I've had late night in a while. And that's hard to come by in today's world where nobody wants to work anymore. The guy at the window even through in a large Baja blast after we went around again after finishing our small one. Baja blast was PERFECTLY carbonated. Dude. Like when you're DESPERATE for a meal and you finally FIND a goldmine like this location and it's THAT good it almost feel illegal. I was literally in tears in the car trying to find food. Ladies, you know the horrible feeling that happens to us when we don't eat. This Taco Bell took CARE of me tonight. It's funny to see so many bad reviews for this location because it's the only Taco Bell I've been to where I haven't had a complaint. I've never had an incorrect order, always had the freshest ingredients (no day old dry refried beans here) and the staff actually pays attention. I made a casual statement that there were a couple limited time items that I missed and the manager told me that as long as they still have the ingredients, they can still prepare the item even if it's not on menu. I've never heard that anywhere else. I've also never had a problem with customer service but I have to say that Julius is probably the best employee they have. It is multiple occasions over the past year or so. The only reason I continue to go here is because it's very close to where I work. None of the employees have any sense of urgency whatsoever. This Taco Bell is complete and total trash. If I could select 0 stars I would. We ordered 2 chalupas and a number 8 which comes with a drink. When we got our food only the 2 chalupas were in the bag no #8. The very rude lady at her window gave us the drink to the #8 and when we told here the food for the number 8 was not in the bag she started arguing with my husband saying you can't add on to the order. My husband said we ordered the number 8 and only got the drink. The lady argued back that we didn't order a number 8. So we asked why did you give us the drink to the number 8 then? She told us we ordered 2 chalupas and a small pop which we did not. She told us we had to go back around and wait in the line we already waited in for 20min again just because she can not hear. Of course we did not. When we opened the chalupas one consists of only lettuce cheese and sour cream(no meat) the other chalupa had 2 little cubes of chicken on it, the food was completely cold and the chalupa shell which is normally warm and soft with a nice slight crisp to outside was very stale hard and cold. Who hasn't been to Taco Bell. I must first state that my quest for fine Mexican dining along Haggerty Rd. isn't going to be resolved by fast food. Disclaimer aside, this locale has been recently remodeled and looks nearly as nice as the Across the Border on the other side of Haggerty! The restaurant has been well-managed for some time with a clean dining experience, a friendlier-than-usual crew, and prompt drive-thru service. (Haggerty Man feeds 6-8 people at a time, so he knows; even if you're trapped behind my massive order, you won't wait too long here.) Finally, I'll add that the new, health-conscious menu is good enough that I now have something steady to order from the menu, rather than rotating through a few stand-bys which leave me with a poor aftertaste no matter how much I hope for an improvement. read more

I came to this Taco Bell during lunch rush. The line was long, but it also moved very fast. I got my order and everything was correct. I was surprised that they could move through that quickly during a rush! I consider myself a healthy eater. I'd consider myself an ultra healthy eater if I could just stay away from Taco Bell - especially those like the one in Novi - on the way home from the bar. Here's how it works. I eat healthy all day. Small meals. Drink lots of water, workout. Maybe at night I end up at the bar, have a few light beers. I skip the salted nuts and the chicken wings, but sure enough as 1 a.m. rolls around my stomach is rumbling and succumb to the purple glow of the Taco Bell bell. Whether it be the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, Cheesy Five Layer Burrito or the Cheesy Empanada, Taco Bell always leaves me satisfied. I've never had a bad experience in four or five trips to this particular Novi Taco Bell, located on Haggerty Road just across from a real Mexican Restaurant that I refuse to try. Therefore, this Taco Bell, like all Taco Bells on my Taco Bell list, earns a five out of five. read more

It's 2AM on Tuesday morning. Light is on and says Drive thru open. Posted hours day open until 3:30AM. Pulled round to speaker and waited 10 minutes to just get a very rude, "We're Closed" comment from the worker on the speaker. I told them their drive thru light says open and that they are open until 3:30. She didn't say anything afterwards or offer an explanation. Where do I begin? I went there over the memorial wknd. @ midnight. There were about 10 cars in line. I was surprised how slow the line was moving until I found out why. I get to the speaker and a very RUDE girl mumbles to me. I asked her three times to repeat herself and she screams at me. "WE HAVE NO BEEF, YA KNOW, COW". I was shocked to be spoken to that way. So all these People who have been in the drive thru line has to make other choices. WHY there was no sign, or something so People wouldnt waste a half hr in line is beyond me. After waiting in line for 25 minutes (no way to escape) - our order was wrong and no one even acknowledged an apology for the wait. I lived in Novi 2 years and this was my local TB. I have been to a lot of Taco Bells in many different states and I must say this location is great. Always use the drive through and they ALWAYS got my order right. Can't say that about other locations I have been to in the past. The young girls working the drive through were always super nice too. I ordered two bean burritos tonight with no cheese and I got two burritos with spicy mayo on them, which doesn't come on them in the first place. I'm allergic to dairy so I couldn't even eat my meal, and I didn't figure it out until I already got home.
