I went on a Thursday night around 6 and I had no wait getting a table! Chips and salsa came out very quickly, the chips were warm and fresh, and the salsa was delicious! They also offer a "build your own margarita," I got a 12OZ watermelon&strawberry blended marg, super good! Our food came out very quickly after we ordered. I got a margarita in a spin glass and didn't know what that was, and was delighted to find out that it's literally a glass that comes with a little holder that allows you to spin it. It just spins. This is the second time I've been to Taques Bar and Grill with a large group. The place has a great vibe and beautiful decor. Lots of accents and details to please the eye, and the chairs are comfortable. The food is delicious and quite affordable, especially for brunch. House chips and salsa are provided at the start. Both are fresh and delicious with just the right amount of spice. Some of the best I've had. The drinks are pretty and tasty. The service was good overall, though not as attentive as we'd like this time. We had to look for our server several times, but it was busy. Certainly I'll be back and would recommend! read more

Food is always very good here, and the service is friendly. The outdoor patio is very nice on a pleasant weather day, and because it is at the back of the restaurant, you don't get all of the road notes. All of the food I've tried has been very tasty and well presented. The drinks are outstanding. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the area. read more

A group of 6 of us went to Taques for dinner on a Sunday night. The place is kind of small, but very cheerfully decorated. My nephew commented that it looked kind of like a cross between Mexican and Hawaiian decor. Our server (Elias?) was very friendly and efficient. But, I found the food rather expensive for what it was. (Mexican food is usually pretty inexpensive, but this was not.) I had the Golden Burrito. It was ok, nothing objectionable, but it wasn't as flavorful as the food at most other Mexican restaurants I've been to. I also found the chips rather lackluster; definitely not homemade and not particularly tasty. I'm usually a sucker for the chips, and I only had a few of these. I don't know that I'd come here again on my own, but I wouldn't object if I was with someone else who wanted to return. read more

The inside is so cozy and aesthetically pleasing at the same time! The Tacques margaritas were really tasty and not too strong (I'm not big on the taste of alcohol although they had some pretty awesome mocktails available). We got a large strawberry margarita and a small mango margarita. Loved both of them and the glassware was so cute. We ordered the ceviche and esquites as our appetizer in addition to our complimentary basket of chips and salsa and put in our taco orders at the same time. Everything came out pretty quickly one after the other without feeling overwhelmed and was plated beautifully. Bonus points for the yummy salsa verde that came with the tacos! I loved the ambiance in the restaurant! The menu did confuse me a bit though and while I thought the food was good, I thought the prices were a bit high compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area for similar quality food. I will say if you want a cool ambiance though and don't mind the higher prices, this place is definitely worth checking out at least once! Came on a Saturday night with reservations. I was mesmerized by the interior! It's colorful, warming, and festive all in one. The staff were polite and welcoming. Once seated I ordered the pomegranate margarita and ceviche, both which were delicious! The ceviche was so beautifully presented and was so light with a refreshing flavor. It was perfect. We were not huge Mexican restaurant fans before we came here. That changed with our first visit here. We now come here regularly. When you walk into this restaurant you can tell the owners (family) take pride in the details. The decor is fun and upbeat. Everything is clean. Servers and bartenders are great. The tables are filled with people enjoying themselves. We usually sit at the bar and enjoy a delicious cocktail and order a meal to go. Most of the people we chat with their are regulars. We enjoy freshly made chips and salsa while we wait for our food. They have a varied menu. We particularly enjoy their esquites, street tacos, chili relleno and golden burrito. I've gotten takeout from here a few times and it's been good but dining in was a completely different experience... food was FAST, too fast maybe? Still good. I was bummed they didn't have fajitas, because almost all Mexican places do. They let you have one basket of chips for free which was fine for just the two of us. Service was not super great, didn't check on us until we were done eating. My biggest complaint is the chairs to be honest. They are SO narrow and uncomfortable. Granted, sure, I'm chubby but even my thinner bf was not comfortable. The chairs basically dig into your thighs, didn't make the experience super comfortable. I went here on a random Thursday night at just before 7:00. They were fairly busy, but our group of 6 women didn't have to wait. -Chips and salsa were brought out quickly, but only one basket for two tables pushed together. -We ordered 4 different flavors on margaritas in 2 different sizes. One was the wrong size and one was the wrong flavor, but all were really good. -Our servers were so sweet and very helpful. Food presentation was nice, I was ready to dig in! Our group tried several different entrees and everyone was pleased. I ordered the Poblano Pasta. Everyone stared at the bowl in shock. The portion was so small. With nothing on the side to help round it out it was disappointing. The flavor was really good. I did not, however, enjoy the jagged piece of plastic in the pasta. The portion size ended up not being an issue because I lost my appetite. The servers were baffled and very apologetic. I did get the entree comp'ed. I get it, I've worked in restaurants. It happens. The restaurant itself is really cute. I was shocked (not in a bad way at all!) to see a bidet in the bathroom! I've never seen that before is a public bathroom. Nice touch. Overall, I feel like they need a little fine tuning but it's definitely a welcome addition to downtown Farmington, especially since the street food restaurant went soooo downhill after changing owners and management. Beautiful decor as you can see! Tucked away in the back of the complex , so that was nice. Didn't get pics of the patio but it was beautiful and had group seating available. Poblano queso was thick. But it tasted fresh. Some people might not like the consistency. I really really enjoyed my flounder fish taco!! The pineapple salsa and spicy sauce was delicious on top. It looked really good from the internet so I drove over and went inside. The place is at the end of a strip mall so I would've never found it from the road. The menu has lots to offer and I was torn about what to get. I sat at the bar since it was rather busy and my server answered my questions about the food that I had. I was eyeing their street tacos and after some discussion I decided that it was too much so I went with some a al carte items instead. (thank you waitress!) The food itself was fantastic and I probably could've gotten another taco but I didn't want to overeat with the heat and a long drive home. The rice I ordered was good and not terribly spicy. I passed on refried beans this time around because I wasn't really feeling it. Overall for my two tacos, rice and drink it was $13.58. If I had gotten the full taco meal, it would've been 4 tacos, rice and beans for about $16.00 but I would've not been able to finish it all which is why I didn't order it. My server was great but disappeared at times but when I needed her I was able to flag her down. The place isn't super huge with just enough seating to have enough people of varying party sizes in here. There's a small waiting area if the weather's poor along with a decent amount of parking available. I would gladly return in the future for more! read more

Such as a pretty cool large image of the moon (my kids were mesmerized by it.) Overall, a really good vibe happening here but it's loud. You've been warned. The strawberry margherita was tasty (a little too much liquor when I prefer to taste the strawberry.) The birria tacos, not the best. They were ok. The Chorizo queso was like one solid piece of cheese. I liked the flavor but other queso's have been easier to eat. The winning bite was a little chorizo queso with a little sour cream and birria consome. Your welcome! My kids both had kids meals (one burrito and one tenders.) Good portions and affordable. I must say I wasn't extremely excited about eating here as I visited the first week they opened and while it was OK, I didn't think they would make it. The location is a little bit off the road and they were struggling with service. Well I am here to tell you that they have gotten it together and knocked it out of the park. I have since been back twice and ordered tortilla soup as a takeout. It was that good. The street tacos were amazing and the other dish ordered by our party was amazing too. See picture, it has cactus leaves hanging out the side. I was so mad at myself because the leftovers we took home were left in the car overnight and we couldn't eat them. I found my new "go to" Mexican restaurant. The service was fantastic. Really helpful with helping us choose our meals. Although the restaurant was smaller than what it seemed like online, it was really nice and decorative. We started off with the Ceviche De Camarón. A fantastic starter. The avocado really pulled the flavors together. The Molcajete was really good. Great portion size. I didn't care for the cactus but everything else made up for it. The Tampiqueña was exquisite. Weird birdcage in the middle of the floor for aesthetic... at the back end of a strip mall and if you didn't know about it, you'd never know it was there. Patio is even worse, small and looks out over the parking lot and back brick walls. Chips and salsa are given at the start and the salsa is good. Asked for the hot salsa and it wasn't good. Not very spicy/ hot nor any taste; just like dirty water. Ordered the steak which is a 12 oz ribeye asado. Asked for it cooked medium it came to me still mooing (like purple in the middle). I had to send it back to be cooked further. Very fatty but well seasoned. Came with onions and rice and pico. Nothing special, much like this place as a whole. read more
