Can I even do zero stars. Usually I get decent service but this is ridiculous. Very friendly people work here but I can't back them up on this.

Horrible service. Always slow, their menu doesn't correlate with the online ordering, they put no meat on their items and they forget stuff all the tone.

I always get a Mexican pizza shell, topped with their 3 cheese blend, and then have them put it in the steamer to melt the cheese.

Why not... so I stopped to check out the situation. I'm always game for street tacos. Cesar's Quick Lunch is the name of the biz. It was parked on Penn Valley Road in the True Value hardware parking lot. Next to the truck are a couple of picnic tables with sun umbrellas. The tables are painted a super cute lime green. Street tacos $1.75. Meat choices: Asada, carnitas, al pastor, Chile verde, and pollo. Burritos $7. Nachos $7. Tortas $7. Bottled Mexican Cokes and Jarritos. Ya! Soda made from real cane sugar and not that HFCS madness. I ordered an asada and a pastor street taco each. The plate came with sliced limes and slices of jalapeños. Mmmm... both tacos were good! But the al pastor was a big hit with me. It was so darn flavorful. It was a bit messier to eat because of that awesome marinade. I'm not complaining tho. Delicious! They also cater. Check them out on Instagram and Facebook. Plus they take cash and plastic: Visa, MC, AMEX, and Discover. #CesarsQuickLunchTacoTruckInPennValley

Had we…read moreknown there was only one cook that night and our food would take just a bit OVER AN HOUR to be served we might have gone elsewhere. But we would have missed out on the YUMMY fresh flavors. We didn't know until we waited 35 minutes that there was only one cook at which point you think, "we've already waited this long... might as well stay". I know it's a small place so every penny counts but maybe a small consolation of regularly filling the complimentary beans/ salsa and chip basket would have helped (it got refilled only upon request) or offer another soda/ drink on the house or a complimentary dessert at the end. The decor is culturally cute and well loved and restaurant appeared clean. There seemed to be a couple of other tables celebrating special events so I'm sure that didn't help the wait time since they were kind of busy with groups. In any case, the food was good! The little guy ordered his two soft tacos with only carne asada, hubby had carne asada plate which came with grilled onion and nopale paddle, I got the carnitas plate. We got both the flour and corn tortillas which didn't seem homemade but warmed perfectly. The rice and beans pass my Mexican palate test - hooray!!! The meats were all flavorful and not over cooked. AND - OMG the green salsa that came with my carnitas--- this wonderful little cup was a surprise of heaven! I could have eaten that salsa all day everyday!!! The nopale was cooked just perfectly too. For drinks we had an Agua Mineral, a Mexican Coke and agua fresca de melón. Next time we head to the mines for a hike we'll probably drop by again... and maybe make sure there is enough help that there won't be such a long wait. No complaints and only praises in everything that we ate and drank!!

I rolled up and ordered the **shrimp burrito**, expecting solid street-style Mexican vibes. Holy mole, was I underprepared. That FIRST bite? Straight fireworks - juicy, perfectly seasoned shrimp exploding with flavor, fresh ingredients, that ideal tortilla hug. I thought, 'Okay, this is already elite.' Then came the second bite... third... fourth... and by the FIFTH bite? Pure transcendence. The flavors just kept building, layering heat, zest, and that addictive savory punch without ever overwhelming. It didn't peak early - it escalated like a boss. Every subsequent bite somehow topped the last, turning a simple burrito into an unforgettable flavor journey. This isn't just food; it's a revelation wrapped in a tortilla. Authentic, made-to-order perfection from a spot that's bringing real corazón to downtown Grass Valley.
