Tried to visit December 12th for breakfast BUT they were not open! Hours state they open at 8am. I was there around 815am and the place was dark and closed. I wanted to try their breakfast burrito but might try visiting again in the future. They also have coffee and tea. Btw..it's tucked away in the back and shares a driveway with Cigarette City. There is no sign on the building ( which is a cute little house)..only a small sign when you enter. They need better signage if they want more business and open when you are supposed to! read more

Was in town for a morning baseball game and wanted a quick bite. A breakfast burrito sounded good so found Cafe Rico. Restaurant is situated in a cute little house. Plenty of seating inside and several tables out front on the porch. We were the only ones there when we got there, but it quickly got busy (sat morning ) we ordered and went out to the porch and waited for our food. The friendly woman who took our order, made the burrito and delivered it to us... she did it all! So flavorful and delish, it was exactly what we needed for breakfast!! read more

Everything was so amazingly delicious! Tacos were bomb, enchiladas so good and big, beans and rice were much better than others elsewhere. Salad, sauces, so good. Why did we wait 4 years to try Cafe Rico? Can't wait to go back...well I have to wait. They're closed now and I'm stuffed. read more

This place didn't have yelp so I had to include them! It's right next to a gas station! If you are looking for an authenticate Hispanic spot (Mexican, Salvadoran food) look no further. Soon as you walk in you'll smell the authenticity of her food. This looks like a one person shop but she nails it! I was stuck between Carnitas and Asada Burrito so I asked for her recommendation and got their carnitas burrito. It's one of those burritos where you can't finish it in one sitting I was above average hungry and still failed lol but that tells you something about their servings size Waited around 10 minutes for the food but can't complain since you get it right out the kitchen. She has Spanish music in the background so it gives you the feels when you used to visit your Tia or Abuelita. My son and I stopped at Cafe Rico today and had an excellent lunch. I was so hungry I forgot to take photos, but when we do come back, I will add in the future. My Chile rellenos, with black beans, and Mexican rice was just excellent. The chips and salsa were good as well. Could swear the chips are fried in lard, makes them extra delicious. This is a hole in the wall restaurant in the best way. I feel it's very unassuming. You don't expect much from the outside. However when you walk in you are hit with lovely delicious smells, and greeted warmly by the owner. Her food is outstanding. Love it here read more

This eatery is more than a bakery. We found it on yelp today and tried it for the first time. We ordered the chicken enchalada and fish taco meals. Both were very delicious and serving size was huge. I wanted to keep eating even when my belly was full! It comes with a basket of crispy tortilla chips, 1 red and 1 green sauce, a salad, Mexican rice, refried beans that stayed nice and hot in a perfect way thru the meal. The place is so cute, very clean and welcoming. Service is great and friendly. I wish we had discovered Cafe Rico sooner. It is now our new go-to for a wonderful and delicious Mexican meal. Came and got a red smoothie (delicious!) $8.50 ended up being $9.33 with tax, does not take card or tap pay so I had to scrounge some change from my car and I only had the $8.50 and the very kind owner of cafe Rico didn't even bat an eye about the rest, (I even offered to work for payment) on top of that she even gave me some of her homemade cookies to try!! Made perfect to dunk in tea hot or coffee btw. Not often do you meet people as genuine as the owner, super nice lady and the food she makes smells, and looks amazing. As a cook for two years in fine dining I can confirm the food is healthy, filling, most certainly tasty and priced fair, the kitchen/prep area looked to be clean and well kept as well as seating area. Casual ambiance, succulents, dark hardwood floors, with warm white walls really compliments the lighting.
