I've reviewed seven Taco Bell locations so far. This will be number eight. Of those other reviews, I've given three 4-stars and four 3-stars. It's safe to say -- and as much as I wish otherwise -- I generally like Taco Bell's food. I order four of the crunchy tacos most of the time, and sometimes I will add in something random like nachos and cheese or a fancier taco option. This location's food quality standard seems to be on par with the others. I've always received my order hot and correctly placed in the bag. So that's nice. Service sometimes isn't nice. I feel like if I say "hello," it's nice to say "hello" (or hi, or hey, or howdy) back, rather than have your hand out barking for the money before I even have a chance to zip open my wallet. It's also weird to me when they ask me to pull up so someone can bring me out my food. Like, I purchase four tacos. Why not just hand them to me at the window? [This happened with no other cars in line behind me, so I was especially confused.] The facade itself needs a makeover. It hasn't been updated in decades and you can tell. This is not one of the pretty new locations; it has a KFC attached to it. But it's still functional, and I suppose that's the important part! The actual location is awesome. Very close proximity to the Delaware Memorial Bridge and right off 295 and 40. It's good for travelers who don't want to stop at a rest station. There's a Wawa, Dunkin, Applebees, Burger King, and Cracker Barrel all in the same vicinity. read more

no matter what time or day you come in wether you order at the window or you place a mobil order ahead of time and arrive once the app says it's ready- you will be wasting you gas and time waiting in line at the drive thru for 10-35 minuets whenever you come here. on top of that generally your order will be wrong wether or not you need substitutions or specialty care. this place has been like those for years despite changing staff etc, really don't know what the issue is but whatever it is it's constant and not worth it. read more

This particular location is not very good. The service is terrible and the food carelessly prepared. We witnessed an employee with her manager and team sitting at the outside tables while the employee cleaned the tables that people eat on with a dirty broom. Never followed up with a clean rag. My wife told the manager and she did nothing about it and the employee just kept on doing it. The employee also mouthed off to my wife. read more

I generally like the food, especially the new cantina menu. It's quick and easy. However, today I saw something that, quite literally, disgusted me. I was inside the restaurant and there was a brunette twenty something employee outside sweeping the patio. There was a manager and a few other employes watching her (they were having a meeting of some sort. I then watched this same employee take that broom and sweep the tables!!! I got up from my table and asked thentwo employees standing at the door to 'please tell that girl to not use that disgusting broom that she was just sweeping the patio with on the tables'. I sat down. These two employees told the girl what i said who then proceeded to take the broom and sweep the tables again!! I got up again and asked for a manager who I was told was outside (and obviously saw her do this). I then (rather angrily, I do admit) walked up to her and explained the situation (meanwhile the young lady walked by me and smirked). The manager told me she would discuss it with her later. I asked her if she was OK with what the girl did and she reiterated what she said - that she would discuss it with her later - that she was in a meeting. I replied "I bet you will" and walked away. Whatever you do, don't eat on those tables!!! And, if that is their definition of sanitation and cleanliness, not too sure I'd eat inside either. read more

I found hairs in my food. It was nasty and I had to throw my food out and those people were mean and rude and the floors were dirty. This place need to be shut down and made a church. read more

This was the most disgusting Taco Bell I've ever been too. They were out of everything. The drive through was closed I'm assuming because of not enough staff. The soda machine area was just so dirty. They were out of all drinks besides water doen Pepsi. The tables were gross. The bathrooms smelled. I don't think they have ever cleaned it there. I'm so disappointed. Even the service wasn't great. They have gotten my order wrong on several occasions, their portions are considerably smaller than most other Taco Bells I've been to and, when where in the drive through, they routinely ask us to pull around to park and wait, even when theres no one behind us. read more

UPDATE 12/17/16: WOW!!! Something major has happened at this Taco Bell since the last time we were here in August! My daughter and I had spent the better part of today Christmas shopping in Deptford, and she had her heart set on Taco Bell for dinner. After the long drive, and at the end of a day of being in and out of the car and countless stores, I was too tired to even Google the location of the Deptford Taco Bell, let alone look for it in the lousy weather and holiday traffic, even though we were certain that the food would be better. It was dark and foggy and I just wanted to at least be back in a familiar area, and I was driving, so off to Pennsville we went. What a surprise! The employees, as always, were friendly, patient, and helpful (we've never had a problem with any of their employees) and very efficient. We received our order, everything was there, and it was all back to what I'd call "Taco Bell standards", as I remember them from many, many years ago, which is to say, a good deal, yummy and plenty. There was a nice sprinkling of cheese on even the most basic tacos, not just the three shreds that we've mostly experienced there. The Burrito Supremes and Taco Supremes were totally worth the price, full, fresh, and tasty. The dining area even seemed cleaner. Maybe they've had a change in management, or maybe we just got there on a good night, but I'm hoping that this is permanent. If it is, we'll be there a lot more often. ****************************************************************************************** OLD REVIEW: If you're going for tacos, their "flagship" offering, make sure before you order that they have shells! Yes, it's true: twice (that we know of, and months apart) the Pennsville Taco Bell has run out of hard taco shells. I'm still baffled. When you can get them, they're good (standard Taco Bell), though much smaller than they used to be, but that's true almost anywhere, nowadays. Side note: don't try to get the old enchirito, here. Yes, they're not on the menu, any more, but other Taco Bells have never had a problem coming up with one. Here, they either don't have the recipe book or didn't consult it, 'cause I received what I suspect was an ordinary soft taco. It was a take-out order, so I wasn't even aware that anything was up until we got it home. They could have said something up front but chose not to, which is kind of shady. Yay, you sold one more item and who cares if you lost the trust of a customer? Score! Overall, service is okay and friendly enough, they have ample parking and the place is mostly clean, but the fact that you may or may not be able to get what you want puts a damper on the whole experience. It's quite a drive to get there and I'm not going to call ahead to ask for their taco shell status, so we only stop in if we a.) happen to be driving past and b.) are in the mood for tacos, so...not very often. :( read more

Not only did it take 20 minutes for our six tacos, the order was incorrect and not even hot. I don't understand, if you're taking your time why are you making mistakes. Clearly it wasn't about taking time because the food was cold. It was pure carelessness. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. read more

Avoid this place, even if it's the last fast food joint on earth. They've shut down completely on some nights for poor management, and it's still poor in standards to this day! It's terrible. Just Don't waist your money here. read more

Went there today around 2 pm. Was in drive through for at least 15 minutes then got my soda (mountain dew) which tasted horrible so i sent it back and asked for pepsi. Got the pepsi and that tasted horrible too. Then was told to pull forward because my food wasn't ready. All in all i spent at least a total of 20 minutes in the drive through and couldn't even drink the soda i paid for. #HORRIBLE read more

Why is is so hard to remember coleslaw with an order? Additionally, does anybody that works there know what a mop is? My family was served burnt chicken and mashed potatoes that that taste like they were sitting all day. On the wall of this place there is a bell that says if your happy with your service ring bell. The bell had dust on it. I'm not sure what is happening to the restaurants in Pennsville but it's embarrassing to our town!! read more

Do not go here!!!! Food was cold to the touch. First had to drive up father from drive throu to get food. Got food was cold went back to inform manager of issue. She got another person to make a replacement got that and was messy and toco was tearing when took it out of paper. So, went in and said just want a refund and had the nurve to ask if I had a receipt when I just been in store and was not given receipt. Got an refund while was waiting.
