I was pretty hesitant to try this KFC because of all the bad reviews, but I gotta say this wasn't a bad experience at all. The tenders weren't the thickest or juiciest in the world, but I'm not expecting much from a KFC. They were decent and got the job done. My wife got food from the Taco Bell, and she said it was some of the best she had had. The service was about what you expect from a fast food restaurant not named Chic Fil A. Don't read into it too much, working fast food is only so enjoyable. All in all, if you want it, go get it. You won't see many positive reviews on a fast food place because who would actually take the time? Don't let negative Nancy's keep you from getting that quick chicken. read more

AVOID-AVOID-AVOID this location! It will suck the joy out of your day. We've been through the drive-thru on three separate occasions. ON each occasion we've been disappointed. Either food was missing from our order, they'd gotten the order wrong, it took 20 minutes or the food was just plain cold. Today we decided to "dine in". Upon pulling into our parking space we were met by an employee leaning up against the wall next to the entrance smoking a cigarette. His pants were down almost entirely bellow his butt, revealing colorful boxer underwear. (Ugh). Seeing us arrive, he quickly went inside and into the kitchen. (No hand washing for this dude. He was too cool). Inside, the dining room was empty and clean. The woman took our order & we sat down. After spending $30 and a 20 minute wait, we finally got our food. Most of it was around room temperature (So, basically cold). Tacos had roughly 1/8" of meat on them - They might as well have been called "the vegetarian option". The Mexican Pizza (which we'd had several times at the Springfield location and loved) was flavorless cardboard. (I threw it away). The "Spicy Chicken" sandwich I ordered had next to NO spicy sauce on it. (Honestly, it barely peeked out behind the single pickle)...Such a shame. I'd first had this while living in Austin during COVID & loved it. - It needs the spicy sauce, otherwise it's just a plain piece of fried chicken on a warm piece of bread. The place was EMPTY! Why the 20 minute wait? I'd thought that maybe the previous bad experiences had been because we'd gone through the drive-thru or that we'd hit them at some peak-time and they'd been overwhelmed. But after today we realized; NOPE. This location is poorly managed and likely has a directive from their owner, The Matlock Restaurant Group LLC to cut corners. Who knows? All I can say is it's night and day from the Taco Bell in Springfield and the KFC in Springfield (both separate entities with separate owners). One can only assume that the owners of this franchise are taking advantage of the fact that they're visible from I-24 and getting mainly long distance drivers who won't come back to complain. (Who knows). The owners live far away and just seem to don't care. - They certainly don't read Yelp! I've lived in 8 states, still own property in a few and like to road-trip between them. So I've been to lots of road-side fast food places. This ranks up there in the Top 10 Worst experiences. read more

No effort at all put into the quality of the food. Service is sometimes okay, but I feel like they could be much friendlier. I know that when I worked in fast food, it wasn't anything glorious but I did what I could to be polite to people. I knew what I was signing up for! We went on Labor day night, the staff, two girls, in the window were very nice and helpful. The food was absolutely the worst Taco Bell we have ever eaten. The crunchy wrap was made wrong, no crunchy tortilla inside. They tasted stale and hard to chew. Even the tacos with meat tasted stale and bad. Not only did we get upset stomachs and diarrhea but our dogs did, from eating the leftovers. The management and or owners need to read reviews more often and visit, eat and experience what their customers are getting crappy food and fix the problem. I know it's 2023, and you can't get people to work, but this could be a training issue, when food is not prepared right, or old food is kept and served. read more

This combined KFC/Taco Bell is a hot mess. They have not yet reopened completely after the COVID partial shutdown, and it's still just drive-through only. It has the appearance that suggests that they're barely hanging on and about to go under. No matter the time of day, or what you order, they're usually out of something. They have even run out of chicken on the KFC side of the menu at 5:00 pm. Recently, when ordering from the Taco Bell menue, they were unable to complete my order, and were even out of mild sauce packets. No matter what you order, check your order before you pull away from the window. Nine out of ten times you'll find something missing or just wrong. read more

This place is just plain bad. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of choices to eat around here. I was just told that I would have to leave the dining area to order and go through the drive thru because the counter register was down. The guy behind the counter was too lazy to walk to another working register. We refused and he ended up taking our order on a working register. This place is also trashed. Rediculous. Has the worse hours. Taco Bell is know for late nights. A lot of people in this town work late and need a place to grab food after work. Not to mention it's right off the highway. This kfc is terrible. I have stopped in desperation a few times and have found the chicken almost inedible. The pieces were extremely small (the wings were barely 2 inches) can't imagine where they found such small chicken. This Kentucky fried chicken place deserves the lowest rating for their food. It is worth noting that most KFC's I have tried in recent years are about the same, NOT WORTH STOPPING. My recommendation is find somewhere else to eat but not kfc. This a combo KFC and Taco Bell that we stopped at while travelling. Very nice staff! The cashier was chatting with us after we made our order. Though she probably should have kept it shorter since people joined the line. The food was cooked well and tasted good. There was a TV in there that we were able to watch. read more

This is a Taco Bell and KFC combined although I don't know why they're listed separately here. Drive thru service has always been fine and not a horribly long wait. My order has always been correct. Dine-in service is a different story. Again my orders have been correct, but our food always took at least 15 minutes to be ready. The counter where napkins and hot sauce is kept is always a mess. It also doesn't seem like tables are wiped down regularly. They appear short staffed and I actually just noticed today that they are in need of a manager. This has got to be one of the worst Taco Bell's ever. Not only do they punish lobby customers with nearly a 15 minute wait for food, but they can't even make a 5 layer burrito correctly. This t bell seemed to be lesser quality than most. My burrito was almost all sour cream and no meat and it took a whole lot longer to receive than most taco bells. Also they had no space for fire sauce out front so you have to ask for it which makes no sense. And finally the soda machine was spitting out CO2 out of every slot. read more

They charged me $3 for a single skimpy taco. The wait was 15mins long. The cashier mocked and teased me. She didn't even put everything I wanted on my taco. If I am going to pay $3 for a taco then at least load it up and get it right. I would rather go anywhere other than here. They also didn't even give me the drink I ordered. I want to give this dump 0 stars. This place needs to be shut down or something. I bought a crunch wrap supreme.... THE ONLY THING THAT WAS IN IT WAS LETTUCE! And I went back up to the counter to ask what happened and this gothic chick working the register says "well you said make sure you put lettuce in it" YES I WANTED LETTUCE BUT THATS NOT ALL I WANTED! Whom ever manages this place needs to be hit over the head with a thick variation of how to "manage a restaurant" book. Fast food means fast. I have never had worse service in over 40 years of going to restaurants including fast food. I have had 4 occasions where I have had to go back to pick something up that they didn't put in the bag. Last week we tried to pick up some chicken at 7:30pm. THEY WERE OUT! How do you run a restaurant and run out of food? Tonight, again I went to pick up a 3 pc chicken meal at 6:30pm and guess what? This KFC/Taco Bell is just the worst fast food and is a complete embarrassment to Pleasant View. Whats sad is we PV people were so excited when it was being built. I will pass this place by and go elsewhere when after all the times they have been consistent with being so slow in drive thru, and messing up my orders and over loading bags of food and tacos being in the bottom getting smashed. It is like they are trying to save on bags. I also get home and have food missing like not getting all the over priced chicken I paid for. And calling and complaining does nothing. This has been the worst experience I've ever had. My friend and I went there on our lunch break and had two separate orders. When we ordered a "chicken little" on the first one, whoever was on the speaker taking our order said in a very rude and unprofessional tone, "we don't have anything on the menu called that. What are you talking about?" So me and my friend were like....ooooookay. We were unaware they were called chicken little. So then she proceeds to be rude throughout the whole process and when we get to the window, she gives us our first order and shuts the window on us. So we sat there till she came back and said we had a second order, and she argued with us saying we didn't. She wanted the first bag back so got though it and my friend said, "no, this order is correct this is everything we need. We just need the second order." And we sat there for an additional 8 minutes waiting. Totally rude and unprofessional. She was an older lady. Probably won't be back, unless it's last choice. read more

This was horrible. So my family and I were on a long road trip and hadn't eaten in 10 hours. ANY FOOD would have been good. My dad ordered a quesarido. It was a cold tortilla with white rice. I ordered an order of macaroni and cheese. It was cold and the cheese was like glue. When my mom took it up to get a different bowl but they popped it in the microwave, it came out flaming hot with gluey cheese. Where we sat smelled like someone just threw up- probably from the food. All of the chicken was freezing. A word of advice- for owner, it may sound like a good idea to combine a Taco Bell and a kfc but it's better to have one of the two and do it right. This is the slowest fast food restaurant that I have ever been to. I waited 25 minutes to get tacos tonight. I also asked for sour cream to be added to our tacos and was informed there would be a SLIGHT up charge, which I agreed to. That slight up charge ended up being $6. I waited in line at the drive thru for 25 minutes and got charged $6 extra?! When I voiced that to the cashier I was informed that he could do nothing about it. They have no concept of customer service at this store. I am a general manager in the food service industry and wouldn't dream of treating my guests that way if they had to wait that long. My advice to the owner: Find another GM. Your store would be way more profitable if you had a capable person running it. You're losing business. read more
