This was a great find. My wife and I travel by this restaurant but have never tried it until recently. We entered the facility and were greeted warmly. Our server was amazing! First stop. Place is clean. Music a tad loud but not bad. My wife had a bowl with chicken and assorted items like black beans, etc. this was very good. I had the chili Relleno plate and it was awesome. We had the guacamole appetizer and it was delicious. Rice and beans were normal restaurant quality. Unfortunately my finance almost lost it once he got home after what he saw. I can't express how irritated he was once he opened and realized what the $20 bag of food he purchased consisted of... He requested 2 "Large cheese dips" and they told him it was $20 and he got sippy cup sized containers. And a little more than a shot glass container of salsa... He was tired and didn't want to drive far from our home and needless to say this restaurant is a convenient stop we won't try again. The majority of Mexican restaurants in cheatham county actually sell large styrofoam cups of cheese dips. As for the price I know inflation is bad but this is the worst value to quantity portion I've ever seen. read more

First of all, we've been coming here for a while and the food is always great. Not your typical overly salted, rehashed Mexican food. I normally would give them 5 stars, but, the service has gone so downhill. We went in last night and service was subpar as usual, but what made it worse was the fact they seemed upset that we wanted silverware. We asked for napkins and silverware when we received our chips and guacamole and when we did, the server only brought us 4 napkins, there were 6 of us, and informed us we couldn't have silverware until we ordered our main meals. When she brought our meals she did bring forks but no knives and three people in our party had to ask for knives. She only brought one and then we asked for two more. Again, she only brought one. When we asked again for another knife, she seemed irritated. The lady that owns the place sat at the counter and just stared at us with an extremely sharp expression on her face. We've decided not to return to Pedro's. I give them three stars for the food, but the rudeness and poor service has gotten so bad, I simply cannot give them my business anymore. read more

This place is trash. First of all from what I could tell it seems like all of the food is microwaved. The first time I came here and got enchiladas rice and beans. All I f it was bland and flavorless the is no care put into making their food. I decided to give them another try and got a ground beef burrito and asked to have verde sauce poured over the top of the burrito, they refused to do that and instead brought me the burrito and basically threw two containers of some green sauce on the and told me to do it myself. The ground beef in the burrito was refrigerator cold and when I went to the front counter I was told I was wrong that it was hot. I asked her to touch it but she wouldn't and aggressively grabbed the plate and told another work to microwave it. She handed it back to me instead of remaking it properly. The burrito was just as bland and flavorless as the enchilada plate. The staff is so unfriendly and rude at times I don't know how this place stays in business. The inside is clean, but the seating is these grade school type chairs on rollers. The music in there is way too loud it's obnoxious I will never go there again. Way too much money for mediocre bland food. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

I stopped here for lunch about 2 weeks ago after watching their longer than usual build-out take place, at that time I was not aware of their affiliation with the place down road in the square. This place is definitely different and I had hopes for this place,and the staff was friendly but it disappoints on a few issues...for a Mexican Cantina, the pricing is high and the food just mediocre. Since my visit here, there was yet another Mexican Restaurant that opened within a mile -- just when I thought the last thing we needed was another...the new place (El Dorado Mexican Restaurant) blows them all away... My advice is drive up the road on 49 to El Dorado less than a mile, the prices are better and the food outstanding! read more

If you are looking for home made, authentic, fresh food, then Pedro's is your best bet. It is family owned and the family is originally from Guadalajara. The food is phenomenal, and the service is great. The ambiance is simple. We choose it over all other restaurants in the area. The prices are also great and you get plenty of food. I haven't had anything on their menu that I haven't liked. That's including their burger (which is the best haha) and their pancakes. But I'd have to say my favorite things on the menu are the carnitas tacos, torta or sope. I also love their chicken bowl and guacamole! I do have to say if you're looking for more Tex-max style, this might not be your place. read more

Waited so long for this place to open, was so excited about getting another Mexican restaurant within this little 2-3 mile radius. I had heard during the construction that the owners own the restaurant in the village too, less than a mile down the road and that should have been my first red flag, I don't ever eat there- it's not very good. Well, in this place, it's a little more casual and seemed pretty pricey too. The tacos were covered in cheese and were inedible, the quac was brown and the shake was disgusting. FINALLY, a restaurant in the area that we WANT to eat at for the delicious food! We came in within the first week of opening which is usually a disappointing time for new restaurants in the area but the food was excellent! We got guacamole which was fresh and a nice amount for the price and chips and salsa. Definitely will get the guacamole and queso next time instead of the salsa as we realized there's a salsa bar for free so the extra salsa was unnecessary. We got tacos: Carne Asada, Grilled Chicken, Lengua, and Al Pastor. All were delicious, we were surprised by the chicken as most chicken tacos are dry and flavorless, but these were great. The Al Pastor were by far the best flavor. We have lived in the area for 4 years and have yet to find tacos that we enjoy as much as these. This is going to be our first choice for eating out from now on! The desserts looked delicious, but we didn't get any this time. It's only been open a few weeks so far so they were working out the kinks. This is NOT a chain restaurant that caters to the typical customer looking for Americanized Mexican food. This is basically an upscale taqueria where you will find the foods that the cooks in the back would normally make instead of cheese and sauce covered wet burrito goop that they are used to at the chains. The confusion of the folks walking through the door was a picture worth a thousand words. Hint to staff: Don't talk to people about the menu and food until they are all the way through the door and the chime stops ringing. It's confusing ;) Layout: Also notice that your food runner has to walk through the waiting line with arms full of food. Ordered a Torta de carne asada: the bomb Fresh crispy bread and veggies with grilled steak. Wife had the tortilla soup which was surprising not cream based but still good on a chilly day. Their carne asada tacos and fish tacos are pretty typical for a taqueria except for the fancy sauce on the fish tacos. The only issue that I had was the price. I wish it was a little less painful on the pocketbook. But hey, good location, great ambience, very clean. I really hope this place lasts and people catch on. The restaurant was very clean, presenting an appealing and comforting environment. Celina was my waitress. She has phenomenal attention to detail and was extremely welcoming and has a terrific personality. She provided great service as our waitress. The chefs did a outstanding job with the cooking and plating of the meal. They showed meticulous attention to detail in plating the meal with its presentation. The meat was cooked perfectly, and was tender and juicy. The seasoning and sauces was amazing, it complemented the meal perfectly without overpowering any other flavors. The price range of the meals are extremely low for the high quality meal you are getting. One meal we ordered was about $8. Based on what I was served I would have been willing to pay $15 for the same meal. Three meals and two beers ordered amongst my group and the final bill was about $35, incredibly low. I am so incredibly frustrated. We continue to give this place chances and their hours posted on yelp, Facebook and even their door seems to be completely wrong. It's 1025am, their hours on fb say 10am, their posted hours say 10am and their yelp hours say 9am yet here we are staring at locked doors, a closed sign and nobody answering their phone. Hard to win over local business when nobody knows your inconsistent hours and you aren't accountable for what you do have posted.
