My sisters quesadilla was completely raw; the cheese wasn't even melted. My chalupa had mayo in only one spot and when I bit into it I almost gagged and had to down it with my drink. The only good part about this is the drink selection, which is really hard to mess up. I would not come back here and I would not recommend this Taco Bell to anyone coming by. I hope their food gets better in the future.

    My nuts.

Friendly, kind, great humor. We loved chatting and getting to know him. It's a no frills place with solid food. The guacamole, gorditas, salsa and chips were great. They were able to easily accommodate my vegetarian diet and their rice and beans are meat-free,

A wonderful thing is happening inside the kitchen of this little restaurant…read more.. These folks are cooking from scratch! I stopped in today for a beef sandwich and the sweet young lady suggested the special, 2 Beef sandwiches to your liking regular/dry/wet and choice of peppers and cheese if you please...plus a order of French fries. All this for$10!! And the beef is cooked in house! This wasn't your typical bucket of precooked slop that sooo many restaurants buy frozen . Restaurants don't cook anymore, they simply heat up pre- made frozen tasteless slop. Imagine a Beef roasting in the oven..Just how it should be made and served. Stop in and give this nice couple a try! I promise you'll be happy. I also bought a few tacos but I was so filled from the beef sandwich I didn't really try the tacos. But I think I wanna try the Ribeye steak burrito on my next visit.

Had a baby shower in the side room. The bartender was great!…read moreI booked the room for 35 people. we had steak, chicken and beef tacos. The steak and chicken where very good! the service, well if you needed a pop or water (came with the dinner) you had to try and find someone to get it for you (took 20 minutes, in most cases) they put wrapped hot tortillas (3 in a pack) in a cooler, which was a great idea. they made us 30 packs, How do I know? Well when I asked for more tortillas the waitress told me the cook said he already made you 30 tortillas and you have 3 packs left. Even though I pd for 35 people so we should have had at least 35 packs which still was not enough because we still had a whole tray of beef and 3/4 tray of chicken left. Needless to say the rest of the people had to make chicken bowls because NO MORE TORTILLAS. Also, I was told when using a debit/credit card there is a 3% charge. I did pay $500 cash and then put the $316 on a debit card, I was charged 7% not 3%. about 13 of the people at the party where drinking margaritas and the bartender was super nice and the margaritas where fantastic. I have a few parties there over the years (all with the exception of this one where great), but never again.

Those who travel on I-94 and I-80/94 from Illinois to Michigan and vice versa won't know about…read moreLeroy's unless they divert their travels to U.S. 20. There in the town of Porter lies Leroy's, roughly a mile east of Exit 22, a place we frequently passed by over the years but never checked out - til last nite. And though a wee bit apprehensive upon arriving, those hesitations quickly vanished upon entry. Admittedly it can get noisy in the main area (wherein lie the bar, band stage, pool tables and some seating arrangements), which you have to pass thru (a bit awkward) to get to the main dining area (quieter but not totally devoid of noise). Compounding the noise factor were a few babies who let everyone know how they felt. But it wasn't too long before they stopped crying and the band concluded. However, regardless, none of it deterred me, my mixed race son or his mom from having a memorable time. Whatever noise existed was compensated by an overall delightful atmosphere. Not quite what we anticipated but it was so cool. From the moment we sat down at the one remaining unoccupied booth (open seating) til departing, all three of us had a wonderful time. The food was just terrific. The combo plate (mine), the chicken con queso (my son's dish) and chicken en mole (his mom's) were all tasty with good portions and fairly priced (the rice and beans particularly tasty). It's also not often you can get a good selection of meals under $15 these days but here you can. The salad was quite notable since all premium greens were used, no head lettuce or romaine. Impressive. The salsa could perhaps use a little oomph but hardly bad. The complimentary chips looked homemade and were good but could have used a bit more salt. We did initially ask for our chips instead of being automatically delivered but they came fast and as soon as we finished the first batch, a second was quickly delivered to our table. We also had to request sour cream as it didn't come with the meals but was also promptly brought to the table and also at no charge. The pop and free refills, served in decorative glasses, rounded out our stay. But as much as the food was worth what we paid for, equally memorable was the attentive service from the git go. We could not have asked for better. Nicole, our waitress, was superb thru and thru, perfect. Same with Brandon, her husband, who looked like a supervisor and came to assist wherever needed (as he did with the bringing of food and drink). He also took time from his schedule to chat with us at breaks and in doing so, hit it off with us. Not something we obviously expected but we loved it. Great guy as well as his wife. Both individuals were the faces of Leroy's and they sold it oh so well. We all don't have that kind of money to eat out that often but with the fine food and unusually good service we will have to find a way to soon return to Leroy's. Despite the noise, very highly recommended and worth the drive, regardless of whether you live in Hoosierville or just passing thru. One of those hidden gems. Ignore all the old whiny reviews. Leroy's is indeed good stuff and for good reason.
