Yes, I am rating the Taco Bell in Thurmont MD. Yes, this was one of the strangest fast food ordering experiences we have had in a long time. First of all, I have never seen a menu this large and this confusing. So confusing that we ended up with an extra burrito in our bag. No clue that we had ordered it. Also, the young man taking our order repeated it back to us with the strangest inflection. If you recall the old SNL skit "making copies" (Rob Schneider), you should go to this Taco Bell. He has the shtick down pat, but it really isn't necessary in a fast food joint. Nice kid, but just a bit more than I was expecting. every time I come to this Taco Bell they always messed up my order or misunderstand me and I have to correct them at the window. Specifically today I ordered my food the lady that's always at the window which is supposedly the manager didn't hear me when I said I wanted a chicken quesadilla, so i didn't get that. I wanted a grilled chicken cheese burrito with Cantina chicken instead; she gave me a cantina chicken burrito instead. After I placed my order she didn't even respond back... I had to ask "did you get all that" she did not. which was surprising because after I literally placed my first order which was the burrito she asked me right away is that all. Her attitude is always dry and rude they didn't even ask me if I wanted sauce, and they didn't even season my husband's cinnamon twists with cinnamon seasoning it just taste like oil Styrofoam, the only reason I keep coming here is because I'm pregnant and crave it but that was my last straw I'm done coming to this place. read more

They legitimately told me if I wanted to have a good experience to go to the Frederick location. They don't take the mobile app. There's one friendly man that works here and the women are so hostile. ordered Crunchwrap, burritos and nachos and chalupa supreme, we came home checked the bag and as always we didn't get all of our food in the bag, my husband went back to store to get the missing food, their employees arguing with us that you got all the food in the bag! Are u kidding me? Like we lied just for 2 burritos??!!! Instead of apologizing. And this was not their first time! I have never got the whole food in my bag!!!! I hate to leave a negative review because businesses are struggling generally since the pandemic, but I want to warn people of color--my Hispanic husband was seated beside me in the passenger seat as we were going through the drive thru, and he got sneers and a look of disgust from the cashier. Not so good. The tacos were pretty good but the nachos tasted like they had been cooked in the same grease for about a year. I couldn't eat them. Considering that most restaurants are still disinfecting tables between customers, it was pretty dirty. read more

Yeah, just your standard Taco Bell, but it is certainly a nice change from the many hamburger joints in the area. Their "hot" taco sauce is a lie. But the burrito supreme is tasty. The tacos are kind of bland. But most of their food is satisfactory for fast food. The interior of the TB is industrial and sterile. For fast take out, TB is still good. I only wish Thurmont, or some place local, had a actual Mexican resturant. read more

It would make more sense to drive out to Frederick or Westminster and avoid this place completely. More often than not they're out of multiple menu items, the staff always seems like they're brand new, and it doesn't matter if you go in or go through the drive thru you're going to wait 20 to 30 minutes. read more

I have YET to go through the drive through that something is not forgotten. We pay for the food but don't receive it. We even have learned to ask, "Are you sure everything is in the bag?" They look and reply, "Yup!". But nope, NEVER. So if you like buying food you don't receive, this is a great place to go! Because guaranteed, you will be missing something in the order!!! This place needs to shut down, There have been no improvements in 20 years. Stopped in for a quick 8 pc. chicken and it took 22 min. to get it to me. 3 different employees worked and stopped working on it. I asked the cashier if she could hand me the bucket that was just sitting there she said they were short staffed and would not help; even though she was just standing there doing nothing. The girl who started to fill my order stopped half way through and went to the drive in to talk to that employee. When I finally got someone to bring it to the counter, I complained to the guy and he simply stated that this was not his store and walked away. Why did I even bother, I should have known better than to stop there.
