AI took my order for nachos, but had trouble understanding the rest of it then a human voice took over-- so much for efficiency and good customer service. The nacho chips were fresh, but the beef and cheese were minuscule. Looking around as I drove up to the drive thru on a late Thursday night the Gen Z staffers were sitting on the curb in front of the building and as a car pulled up several ran inside to deliver service-- not a good look. Clean, quick, and usually accurate (they were tonight), I find this to be one of the better Taco Bells in our area. While the mobile app can be handy for figuring out what to order, I have to say that I have had much better luck ordering in store. The kiosks are very handy, and I recommend using those and letting the crew focus on getting everyone's food put together. The staff at this store has always been friendly during my visits. My only issue is that order accuracy is not always great. As with just about any fast food operation these days, be sure to check your bag before leaving. Always better to be safe than sorry. Things to know: * This location is just north of I-235 at 22nd Street. * This is one of several fast food restaurants along this strip. Yeah... It's fast food but I have something on my mind. A few years ago I called this drive through the 7th circle of hell. If there were more than three cars in line you were going to be waiting FOREVER. I'm talking like 30+ min sometimes. And that was a pretty regular thing... A couple years and a remodel later... The issues seem to have been resolved. I haven't had a wait longer than a few minutes in a long time. Sure you get instructions to pull around and wait by the door now and then but they seem to have figured it out. In the Clive West Des Moines area... When Tasty Tacos is closed on Sunday. The trucks in the area aren't out... I don't want to run into Hildago for their quesabirria taco plate (a personal favorite of mine)... Plain old Taco Bell beef soft shells are still a go to for me. A good budget buy even though B-Bops 99 cent Sloppy Joe sliders are cheaper... Today the couple tacos I got were stacked and the drive through staff did a fantastic job. I was in and out in less than five min with two cars in front of me. Got to give credit where credit was due. Now don't get any false illusions in your head. It's still Taco Bell. It's not fine dining. I'm sure at times they are understaffed and I know they have to be underpaid for working 900 am to 400 am daily. I know I'm not working anywhere until 400 am unless I'm making bank and I know they're not getting what I'd want... It can probably be hit and miss. But today it slapped. Live Mas! read more

They left out the meat in my Crunchwrap. How do you even do that??? Could you imagine serving someone a hamburger without the burger patty? The wagey in the drive through window gave me attitude when all he had to do was hand me my food. Got back home and noticed my Crunchwrap was almost perfectly flat. Avoid this Taco Bell, there is a large jbl speaker right about the fryer. The bathroom has calcified piss formed onto the walls and urinal. The workers are simply just not working. There are only two groups of people in this restaurant yet we've been waiting for an hour for our food. My friend didn't receive his large drink when his order was ready, when he tried to call a worker over, he was ignored until eventually he just had to reach over the counter and grab his cup himself. I ordered delivery from this location and was really disappointed. I ordered beans substituted for the meat and there was still meat on the tacos. The potatoes were over seasoned and burnt making them inedible and the bag and drink where not tamper proof so I ended up throwing the drink away since there was a male name on the driver name listed and a female delivered. They didn't put any ordered sauces in the bag and everything was shoved in a ball in a paper sack when a box meal was ordered. Overall not thrilled. Maybe in person is better? read more

Worst Taco Bell out there. The food is made poorly and the staff taking orders are rude and condescending over simple requests. Very dirty looking. Oh brother, this place STINKS. We ordered our food for pick up and waited for 2 hours. Why accept the order if you're that behind? Not only accepted it but also said it was ready for pick up. A whole bunch of dashers and other people picking up their orders mentioned it always that long of a wait. 3 people working and 2 were constantly on break. I felt so bad for the one women who was constantly left alone by herself. By the end of the night they just canceled everyone's order. This place is awful. I would talk about the food but they didn't even give me any after waiting in the restaurant for over an hour. At first I was going to pickup my food at the drive through but the line was way too long and I didn't want to waste gas sitting there. There was a line at least 10 cars long and about 10 people in the lobby all picking up food late at night. Only 3 people were in the kitchen working and we all saw one take a break 3 times in one hour. Each were about 15 minutes long. Then as everyone was told they give up and we would not be getting our food 2 of the workers were already outside and I'm pretty sure they were smoking weed. Honestly, wouldn't even give them one star, the cashier, Latasha F, took my order at the drive-through. Her attitude was very nasty and inappropriate from the beginning. I don't usually review national fast food chains, but wanted to give a shout out to this location. Stopped here for lunch today because my son wanted some Mt. Dew Baja Blast and I figured why not? When we first walked in, I overheard the Manager (I think she was the manager she was dressed differently) tell a customer that she was sorry for the long wait and that she included a free dessert. Now that is customer service!! She was definitely an 11!! Then when I was picking up our food, the same person told me they made an extra Gordita by mistake and that she gave it to me free. Awesome surprise and I think that is better than throwing good food in the trash, but if I am honest I really didn't need to eat it too, but I did :-( We did try the Nacho Fries, we liked the flavor, but they could have been cooked a little longer to make them crispier. read more

This place has the worst service I've ever seen from a Taco Bell. We ordered online and went into the store and waited 30 minutes at the counter for people to even acknowledge us meanwhile multiple employees walked right past us. When we were finally given our order my partner wasn't given the orange juice he ordered so I gave him my medium drink cup and told him to get whatever he wanted. He want to fill up his cup and there was a giant puddle in front of the drink machine. When he filled up the cup the cup had a hole in it.
