(A shrimp tostada and a fried avocado taco) The food was very "meh" to me. I got two street tacos -- one chicken, one steak. The chicken looked like it had no seasoning on it and was boiled or something. I don't know... it's just not what I was expecting. The tacos had a ton of meat in them and it was all pretty average. I thought the chips were really good but the salsa wasn't that flavorful either. They had Pepsi products so I got a Dr. Pepper to drink which was good the first time around. When I went to refill it something must've been wrong with the machine and the syrup shot out and the drink bubbled up and over the side of my cup super fast... and the drink tasted horrible. I had high hopes but mostly it was a bummer. Like I said though, I dined with my sister and she absolutely raved about her food and wants to come back. Next time we're downtown I'll have to give them another shot to see if it goes better for me.

It's cute and the entire staff is super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be visiting this place anytime I'm in Memphis (and taking some for the road)

I can say it was a pleasing experience, the ladies said the drinks where good and strong. They have Modelo Negra if that interest you. I had the street corn appetizer. It was good a little limey but it was not bad to me. For Entree I ran with the Shrimp Tacos and they where good, seasoned and cook perfectly. I had the corn tortillas, they give the option for corn or flour. But I must say the only thing that sucked ass about the whole experience was the Mexican Rice. It was "Trash Can" but other than that, I give it a "Bussin"

Ordered frozen margaritas, got on the rocks. Ordered Birria quesadilla, got Birria tacos. - Drinks were ok. - Food: salsa, watery cheese dip, good Guacamole, fresh but only avocado nothing else Street Corn good but not great. I prefer grilled over boiled corn. Hot salsa, more like hot sauce Paster tacos, good but no pickeled onions, per menu Birria tacos were bland, same for dip. No flavor. We were told by friends, not to go, but the reviews were positive and pics looked great. So we went anyway. I would say the friend had a fair review. Mama Rosa wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth the price nor the drive. And I really wanted to love this place. Good luck.

Forest City was fast approaching, so we pulled up Google and discovered Iguanas Mexican restaurant. I guess that it was appropriate that we chose Mexican food for our dinner fare. After seeing the corona of the sun, it's only fitting that a Corona beer be ordered. But I didn't. I ordered a Dos XX instead. Corona is Mexican Budwieser. We were seated immediately and presented with menus displaying food choices printed top to bottom. And I mean top to bottom! Bring your glasses for there's so many selections from which to choose crammed onto that laminated card stock. My eye managed to ferret out a promising entree. The Burrito Grande. Steak, onions, peppers, beans, cheese, served with guacamole and sour cream on the side. Rice also came with it. When it arrived at our table, I was a little underwhelmed as to its size. Grande, it was not. Maybe it was Grande to the person who served it to me, for he was small in stature. But to a tall, strapping young senior citizen, it fell short of being grandiose in size. However, in taste, it was. So I'll give them a pass on the description. It was deliciously tasty. The grandkids had tacos and scrumptious looking enchiladas. Those left mere rings on the plates after they were done. I think that they enjoyed theirs as much as I did mine. Don't be dissuaded by its location. Iguanas is in a very nondescript strip mall. It's more deserving of a building of its own. But who am I to guess. I have no idea what rental rates are in the hamlet of Forrest City. For all I know, it may be prime real estate for the region. Go there and enjoy. They even have a small store inside where one can find an array of all things south of the border. Quick Tip: When searching for the restaurant across the vastness of the strip mall parking lot, look low for their sign. At the time of this reviews writing the sign over the restaurant looked like it was lost in a windstorm. No worry, though. The food will blow you away.

Glad we did as the business had family engaged in their business and it showed in our food quality. Great job Iguanas, we will certainly stop there each visit on our travels to this location!
