My son and I found this little place close to my home in Three Springs. It is truly a family run restaurant. The lady and her husband took my order and it felt like I was in my mother's kitchen. The food textures and flavors were excellent and all had a totally home cooked presentation. Everything was freshly made and the crispy tortillas had just been fried up. The condiment bar was abundant and the sauces were excellent. I highly recommend this little restaurant. Very high quality food and worth the price. read more

Outstanding flavor and I ordered double beans, no rice and got it BUT... You will leave hungry unless you're just wanting a snack. I got two chicken enchiladas - the young man that took my order was very efficient and polite but I could tell upon lifting my take-away box that the quantity was going to disappoint me. This little place is conveniently located by Mercy Medical - walking distance. The refried beans were dismal (flat taste, not quite cooked), but my cheese enchiladas and the red sauce were good. Wow. This food is borderline inedible. Taco Bell style food that is actually messier to eat. And less flavor. I could only eat half of my meal even though I was starving. We ordered chips and queso and got chips smothered in cheese whiz. I've had better Mexican food at a hockey game in North Dakota. I think they have great chilles rellenos and their tacos are pretty good. I just wished they weren't so expensive for what you get. I like their self service bar with condiments and such. Their chorizos are good but sometimes I have gotten some still not cooked good with cold spots in them. I still like Taco Boy but don't understand why when you look at it, it always looks closed. If you are in 3 Springs near the hospital this is a great place to grab a bite. Fast food Mexican, good flavors, menu variety, and affordable prices. The serving sizes are huge! Unless you get the mini tacos which are what the sound like. But even with those you get 4, and medium drink for 8.99 a good deal if you ask me. I had the nachos with a friend and it was enough for us both to be full. They also have a decent salsa bar so you can spice it up your way. For the drinkers, they do have a full bar. So I consider this place able to meet a variety of people's likes. Large round tables can sit big parties, out door patio for the sun lovers, and TVs on the Bar half to watch a game. read more

I don't believe this is the same location since the Taco Boy I went to was on main avenue (right by O'Reilly's), but a friend and I went since we had never been before and it looked like it would be really good based on the outside. When we were looking at our menus, I don't remember seeing a price on the plate options but I got the taco plate and a medium coke. It came out to 14.50 which I thought was ridiculous for what I was getting but maybe it would turn out to be really good. My friend and I were both so disappointed when we opened our to-go boxes to see that we had paid a higher amount for such little amount of food that also appeared to be subpar. My tacos were drowned in guacamole sauce and a lot of the carne asada pieces in my taco were chewy and overall both of our plates were bland and definitely didn't deserve to be priced at anything higher than maybe 8 dollars. DO NOT go to the taco boy on main avenue unless you want overpriced, bland, subpar food. read more

We've been twice, about ten months apart, and I would have to think hard about where I've had worse customer service. Both times staff acted like they couldn't care less whether we were there or not. Tables were dirty both times. I'd say to get take-out, but I cannot recommend the food either. Dry, bland, the steak in the burrito was like chewing leather and the eggs overcooked. You determine the level of spice and flavors to match your foods. They have all the traditional fare and include some creative dishes like the Sonora hotdog and Toritos. They try to compensate for the lack of flavor by using an ungodly amount of white onion. Food is always good. My favorite is the surf and turf quesadilla that is loaded with carne asada and shrimp. Super tasty! Portions are huge too. You definitely won't leave dissatisfied. Worst customer service ever! Would not recommend at all, they always have to ruin my order even with the simplest things. This has happened more than once. I keep Giving it another chance but it is getting very old. When i call In my order i try To talk clearly so they can get my whole order in yet the always forget to include something. The food here is good. I have had their carne asada burritos, tamales, and carnita burritos. Very yummy! Also, reasonably priced and a nice salsa bar to supplement the meal. However, if you are going to have a bar at your restaurant, they need an upgrade. Only a few beers on tap and boxed wine. The pour for our wine was really chintzy. This was surprising considering this is a neighborhood bar. Treat the local residents right with at least a decent pour and you will have lots of customers and maybe even some better tips. I am looking forward to Homeslice opening in a few months. They should have a better bar to compete with Taco Boy. read more
