Every time we visit Durango we eat at Nini's and it never disappoints! Always delicious!

SO. GOOD. My husband raved about this place when he lived in Durango, so we stopped in with my dad midmorning for an early lunch. I vaguely remembered my last time here but noticed that they started serving breakfast! I was excited to try something different and ordered their avocado toast. It was delicious! Be sure to read through the description of the dish as it's definitely not what I would've expected for an avo toast. The thick slices of toast are topped with creamy scrambled eggs, bacon, kale, and some balsamic. It was absolute perfection. The entire dish was delicious: I literally devoured the entire thing nearly instantly. My husband went for his usual quesadilla, which I had a bite of and was delicious as always. I'm glad I chose to venture out and try the avocado toast. I'd definitely order some other items from their breakfast menu. This is definitely a pretty casual spot: you walk up to order and grab any available seat. We were fortunate that the weather was pretty nice as most of their seating is on an outdoor patio. Everyone we encountered service-wise was pleasant and helpful. This has definitely become a Durango regular for us and I know we'll be stopping back during our next trip!

Nini's now has breakfast! (Seriously, this is big news in our little town.) I was amazed by how delicious my breakfast burrito was. It is high protein and seemed to have quality ingredients. Came with a tasty green sauce. Many breakfast choices, including a salmon dish. I work nearby, so this is going to be my go-to spot for breakfast & coffee (a local roast) many mornings now. Still open for lunch and dinner, of course. Dog friendly. Very kind local owners, too.

    Quesadilla excellent.

Fine overall. Good for a quick bite. A little different than city street tacos. Staff is also fine, overall. Vibes like a solid four star.

The service? Dialed in. Attentive without hovering, and genuinely helpful when navigating their very tempting margarita menu. I went all in with both the Mamasita and Papasita...no regrets. Creative, well-balanced, and dangerously easy to sip. Chips came out warm and freshly fried (always a good sign), and the sizzling queso hit that perfect salty, melty note you hope for but don't always get. The avocado stuffed with shrimp starter was a standout: fresh, colorful, and a nice lighter contrast before diving into the mains. And speaking of mains... the Seafood Diablo absolutely delivered. Packed with shrimp, fish, mussels, and squid, and finished with just the right amount of heat to keep things interesting without overwhelming the flavors. If you're in Durango and want something that's a little more lively than the usual lineup, this place brings both personality and flavor. Definitely worth a stop.

This appears to be a home converted into a restaurant. It's cute and the Frida theme throughout the restaurant is a nice touch. Tables are closely placed to be able to accommodate more people so don't expect your conversation to be private. We could hear all the conversations loud and clear as if we were at the same table. Food wise my son got the burger and fries from the kids menu. He loved it. The fries were delicious and crispy. We also ordered the quesadilla. That was very greasy and the grease was dripping everywhere and messy. The carne asada burrito was ok. I had the combo with the taco, tamale, and cheese enchilada. Everything was delicious except for the cheese enchilada. The cheese was already hard by the time I bit into it so it was hard to cut up and chew. I am used to cheese enchiladas being cheesy and melted. Service was excellent. They always made sure we had everything we needed and was quick. When the server messed up on my taco order he brought out the correct taco without me having to tell him it was the wrong type and said it was his mistake and wasn't going to charge for the correct taco. Overall 4 stars because it is a bit noisy. Food was good. Excellent service. Service definitely makes an ok experience better.

If you are a lover of well done birria, this is your place. Craving authentic Mexican food? Yep, this is your place. We started with their chips and salsa. I think you can tell a lot by the salsa at a place. Lemme just say, I was so very happy! Their salsa wasn't too chunky, not too thin and they are not afraid to season and add some heat - but hey, don't worry it wasn't too hot if you've got a dad like mine who isn't a fan of "too much spice." Such a good omen. I couldn't decide which marg to try so ordered a flight. Best decision ever. Even as I write this, I'm still hard pressed to choose a favorite. They were all so good. Add street tacos, quesadillas for my mom, elote cob, and switch fries for my dad and we were all happy campers. The flavors were obscenely good. Staff were amazing and stopped by to make sure we were always taken care of: fast and friendly. Best combo ever. The place is also super cute! Loved the bar and simplicity of the concept. Switchback has a quiet elegance while be so very casual. Perfect in my book.

Portions weren't impressive either. Food was good, but idk the way I was treated and spoken about right in front of my face was beyond disrespectful. And then to just up charge me still.
