We went down the street while our order was getting ready and when we came back, our food was cold. We were gone for maybe less than 10 min and I was expecting the food to be that cold. I don't know what the sauce is that's over the tacos but didn't mind it. It does have vegan options which is why we went. I'm obsessed with this place and so sad it's closed for the winter. The food is delicious, the portions are gluttonous, and it's real cheap. Only trick is to beat the lines (especially the weekend they open). They even have late night hours, from 1-3am; so few places serve food past even 10pm in Fargo, so this is a big plus. They have something for every dietary restriction, and not just half-baked afterthoughts. You can order essentially anything on the menu vegetarian or vegan, but if you do, make sure to add faux meat. They have both beef and chicken, and vegan cheese too. Luckily for us, Taco Bros has pop-ups during the off-season sometimes. Keep an eye on their Twitter for a heads up. read more

This was our first experience with a food truck. Needless to say we went back 2 days later. The food is amazing!!!! The first time we each ordered a Trust You Bro (I mentioned I needed corn tortillas) and we were not disappointed! I received a chicken taco and a beef tostada, both of which were perfectly seasoned. My husband received 2 chicken tacos which were so good he went and got the bro burrito. 2 days later my husband surprised me with tacos al pastor and chips with guacamole. BEST GUACAMOLE EVER! My only disappointment is that he didn't get an extra order. I think this is quickly becoming our go-to taco place. read more

Taco Brothers Food Trucks is all about "bro" stuff. They have a "Trust Your Bro" platter where they choose your meal for you. I'm here to tell you EVERYTHING is a Trust Your Bro platter, because no matter what you order, they'll give you whatever they want and you better like it, bro, because there's no customer service acumen from any of these idiots. None of them know the words "please" or "thank you." These smartasses act like they're a Chicago food truck, where insulting or talking s#$t to your customers is part of the experience. This is Fargo, and I expect a little courtesy. My boss and I dropped by to pick up a quick lunch one day, about 11:15, and there was a 20 minute wait on the sidewalk in 90 degree temps for 4 tacos. Half of our order got done 10 minutes before the other half, so it was cold before the 2nd half was ready to go. IF you get what you ordered in a timely manner, you'll find the food tasty. 6/26/2018 Visit: For lunch I ordered a two taco platter with one ground beef taco and one chicken (thinking a platter would come with rice and beans). When I finally got my food (I was the first order up and it took well over 10 minutes as the cook was busy talking on his phone and then discussing his phone conversation instead of preparing food), it was just the two street tacos (which run $3.75 per taco) without any sides. I don't blame them for not dishing up the rice and beans as I didn't specifically order them. I just assumed ordering a platter meant rice & beans, so that's on me. Anyway, the ground beef and chicken were both way too dry and low on flavor (this visit was the second time this summer my tacos have been overly dry). So considering the low quality, sub-par service, and high price relative to portion size, it's safe to say that this was my last visit to Taco Brothers. read more

I was visiting my brother in Fargo and he insisted we had to try Taco Bros at 1 am. I was skeptical. But I shouldn't have been! Yes, it's 1 am so yes there are plenty of drunks (male and female - all obnoxious) some even went into the truck. But at least one person was paying attention (younger white guy in a red shirt?) and made sure that the food my brother, his girlfriend, and I ordered was vegan. He kept tossing things back and saying "Does that look vegan to you?" Thank you to him! We appreciated him looking out for our orders. However, the three of us who ordered vegan had to wait FORever for ours. Like...way too long. People who ordered long after us had already gotten their food before us. This is great 1 am food. Very flavorful (a little on the spicy side for my taste but still) and we all cleaned out our food containers. We ordered, I believe, vegan "Trust You Bro"s (I just got what my brother got.) My husband got this giant burrito (not vegan) and he loved it. Whether you've been out drinking or not it's really worth stopping by. Knew nothing about the food going in and was hoping by butter fried the tortilla might actually be fried in clarified butter or something. Absolutely fantastic. The owner, Octavio, is the chef at my sorority, Kappa Delta, at NDSU and he is not only amazing at his cooking, but he is also a wonderful person. He is always going out of his way to make sure we are all happy, just like he does for his customers. 4.5 stars. This little truck is really good. There are 2 reasons it didn't earn 5 stars from me. 1. The speed of service is not quite what I expect from a food truck. It wasn't busy when I was there. In fact there were more people inside the truck 'working' than outside waiting. 2. It's really good, but if they would go just a little bit further, it could be AMAZING. I got two tacos - one chicken, one beef, with beans and rice, and a side of chips and guacamole. The meats are amazing. But the lettuce and sriracha sour cream they top it with does it zero favors. The grilled corn tortillas were spot on. But the chicken is begging for a mango or pineapple salsa type topping, and it would be incredible. The beef was also really good, but with no sauce it's a little dry. A onion-cilantro mix with a smoky ranchero sauce would be perfect. Scrap the lettuce. The guac is excellent - but the chips suck, some lighter, crispier chips would be better. So close to incredible. read more

It might as well have had a glowing halo. After nine months in Fargo, a California native like myself starts to wonder if they'll ever taste legit Mexican food again...but I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal was PERFECT. Just as good if not better than any self-respecting taqueria back home. Yes I'm still a gringa (I opt for flour and not corn tortillas), but I have been going through serious Mexican food withdrawals since moving to North Dakota.
