I thought the price was pretty high, $25 for 4 tacos and a side of beans and rice?! I got to my hotel and took a bite of the first taco (pastor) and the tortilla had more flavor than the meat. What happened here? For years, nay decades, this has been our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. It didn't have ambiance but by gosh it had good food! No more. We got this because !y husband was craving their food. A particular favorite has always been their pastor pork burrito. I am not sure what happened but the ones we got were awful. Nauseatingly salty, tough and no flavor beyond hot spice. I am not sure it even was pastor. Maybe just pork in salt and hot chilis, no fruity flavor or taste. Best Chile Rellenos in the city, hands down. They use a homemade red sauce, compared to the thick canned enchilada sauce most other restaurants in this area use, which I personally find disgusting. I've been here a few times before . This food used to be good. I don't know what happened. The lady messed my order and when they brought it fixed they forgot the rice and beans that was there . The quality of the food has gone way down . The food went from good to mediocre. Then when they charged me there was an extra 9.50 charge that was unexplainable. I love this authentic Mexican restaurant!! The staff is friendly, the murals outside and in are gorgeous, and the food is delicious!! I always have a difficult time figuring out what to order. My favorites are the pastor (pork) burritos and tacos. I also love their spicy Diablo shrimp. The burritos are huge, almost as large as your head. I like to get the red and green salsa with my food. It's out of this world! While the seating could use updating, it doesn't detract from the charm of this restaurant. It's got a homey feel, and there's a counter with chairs you can sit at if you don't like booths. I highly recommend this affordable, delicious eatery. Come try it!! read more

Food here was so good that I got mad that I didn't have enough room for a second burrito. I ordered, received and consumed the California burrito with some rice and beans and that was an incredible choice. This burrito made me realize that I'm loved and nurtured without actually having to be loved by a significant other. Do I even need to be loved? Great food. Authentic. I use to go here all the time. My only complaint's are the styrofoam containers are SO outdated and horrible for the environment. They make cardboard to go containers that are so much classier and honestly probably cheaper. This isn't the 70's. Also, iceberg lettuce has no nutritional value so you're basically buying a hunk of meat with an inorganic burrito shell on it. I love this place but honestly I've had it trying to get to go here and always having my burrito turn out different! I tip well everytime and would love some veggies. Organic ones!!!! Let me start by saying this was my very first time visiting this establishment. I ordered the steak fajitas and a steak taco. The man at the counter was nice when I ordered my food. I tipped and everything. The restaurant is fairly small but has a decent atmosphere. I came back home with my food and I dug into my steak fajitas first. Needs some seasoning, some more cook on the veggies and better cuts of steak as the consistency was like meat glued together, but that's not the worst part. About 10 mins into chowing down I ended up vomiting it all up. I never even got to get to the steak taco. I took it back to the restaurant to see if I can get a refund. The same guy I placed my order with, I told him something was wrong with the food. He issued me my refund but got an attitude with me talking about " you guys always come back talking about you're sick", I already knew what he was implying. I'm a black guy and I've had similar situations happen before. I was trying to be nice and respectful about the situation but it seemed like he had this attitude that was against me when I was JUST trying to tell him about the food. Based off that, I will NEVER EVER EVER, come back to this establishment EVER again! Edit: Now thinking about it, even if he wasn't implying what I thought he was but everyone as a whole, it makes it so much worse. I always love stopping in here for cheap tacos and burritos. Sunday we both went with Menudo. Maria's down the street didn't offer menudo. Like always, a very good meal. I went to wash my hands and when I came back our meal was there. We did have to request the onion, cilantro, lime and tortillas today. Usually they just bring it out. Very minor! The menudo was loaded with tripe. The soda cold. This place is what it is. Fast, cheap, and good. I am absolutely obsessed with their Mojarra Frita. I've lived all over the country on both coasts, and tried a bunch of Mexican food. I'm just surprised I found this gem here in Green Bay. The food is amazing quality, great value, and super clean. I am always happy to walk in even during this pandemic as the staff is always wearing masks. Taco Burrito Mexico is spot on with all of the foods that I loved and enjoyed I El Paso. They have all of the foods you dont find in many "mexican" restaurants around here. Pasole, actual tacos with cilantro and onion, horchata, and much more! This place is small but has so much to offer if you love the real deal! It had the pizazz that authentic Mexican places have. Chewy and cooked well. It's a low-key place to hang out with friends. I finally have my Mexican restaurant in Green Bay. This place was the hole-in-the-wall I have been looking for. I ordered a taco, tostada, and chimichanga all with steak. The taco came nice and hot, loaded with toppings and two tortillas. The tostada was crispy and flavorful with fresh vegetables on top. The chimichanga was a pillow of flavor with just the right amount of cheese inside. The order came with guacamole and actual hot sauce for like $7. And I mean real hot sauce, not like some over the counter salsa. I will most definitely be back. In fact, it is going to be hard not to stop on my way home from work every night. Seriously. We ended up here on accident as we were driving around Green Bay last weekend. I am glad we did. They serve what I consider to be "Chicago style" burritos that are heavy on meat and cheese and don't rely on rice as fillers. Very fresh! Tamales, tacos, and enchiladas were also excellent as was the homemade salsa and selection of Jarritos and bottled coke. Having traveled to Mexico over the past 3 years for business, I have craved the flavors of that country every time I come back to Green Bay. This place has a great menu that boasts more than the average TEX-MEX that one would assume......I recommend the tacos with the el pastor pork, which is pretty darn close to the flavors I tasted in Mexico.
