Our go to for Mexican in Minot. Stopped for an early lunch today. They have lunch specials Monday through Friday. The prices were very reasonable. Food and service were both exceptional! I went to the one in the mall, watch your bill and change. Paid cash gor a 12 dollar and change meal with a 20. I got 2 bucks and change back. They will sit you down right away, no matter how busy they are. The servers are friendly and will check in on you periodically. As soon as you sit down, they will greet you with chips, salsa, and bean dip! The refills on the chips are free!! The place is small and normally busy. The parking is normally full & on a good day you can find a close parking spot! However, the restaurant could definitely be more cleaner. There is normally food on the ground, leftover sauce on the table, and the bathrooms are disgusting. However, the food is worth it! This is my favorite in town, among some really good ones. (We're lucky to have several excellent Mexican restaurants, as well as several Thai and Indian options, which is crazy.) The portions are good, the prices are lower than elsewhere, great service. Maybe most importantly, the food is REALLY GOOD. They have several vegetarian options available. The chips and salsa are REALLY REALLY GOOD. I've seen some lower-star reviews and am confused by those reviews. I've never had takeout, so maybe that's different. We have eaten here several times since it opened and never been disappointed. The staff is always pleasant and the food is always delicious. My favorite is this salad with a marinated chicken breast on top. I have shared the chicken with others and they always can't believe how yummy it tastes. We went today and really enjoyed our food. I ordered the chicken fajitas and got a couple photos for your viewing pleasure. It is hard to see with the reflection in the table, but there is still steam coming off it. read more

Probably the worst food I've ever had. Asked for lettuce and cheese on my tacos cause what tacos don't have that? And they didn't even put that on and I had to just put cheese on myself. I wasn't sure what to expect! I am from Texas, so I have had really good Mexican food! Taco Felix is not that bad. The chips and salsa is good. I had a cup of tortilla soup and it was very good! So not what I thought according to the pictures. Had Lingua and Carne Asada tacos. Meat came out mildly warm, not hot. The Lingua had zero flavor as it probably has sat in hot water forever. The Asada was cold, no flavor or maybe that of a piece of burnt charcoal. God I hope I don't get sick. Service was mediocre at best. Great menudo and great tacos. I am mostly writing this review because it's hard to find anyone in town who makes menudo or pozole, yet I was lucky enough to find it here on a Thursday, which is remarkable (usually it's a Sundays-only soup.) The inside of the restaurant is cozy and warm, and is styled in a traditional Spanish-style of dark wood seating and mostly muted decor. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. I always am helped the second I walk in and they get take out orders out remarkably fast. The location is really great so I do hope this place prospers. read more

If I had known this taco "salad" was 1/2 rice, 1/5 meat, 1/5 beans and 1/10 lettuce, I would not have ordered it. They piled the 10 pieces of shredded lettuce on top which made it very deceiving when opening the box. The first time we went was about two weeks after it opened. We dined in and it was great and we enjoyed the food and the friendly staff. Today my husband and daughter stopped in for a to go order. We are a non smoking family so I am able to recognize that cigarette smell instantly. Not only did they smell it while they were waiting for our order, but they came home with that cigarette odor on their clothes. I've eaten a lot of tacos, and the carne asada tacos are the best I've ever had. They're street tacos so they're smaller. You get the freshly fried tortillas with the meat then take them to the fresh fixings bar. I had four and immediately got back in line for four more. Ok let me tell you how my take-out order from here was....I got one taco which was pretty basic the shredded beef was good but a bit dry.It was underwhelming when u expect to get a good taco from a Mexican restaurant which is run by family I'm guessing...the guac and cheese dip tasted fake and like I could make a better one from scratch, also got a side quesadilla with rice and beans and I am shocked to say the rice tasted like it was made out of a box, like there was no love there. Blah and beans----slop. So disappointed in my basic Mexican meal. I feel like they could've done better. 3 stars for effort, but will I be going back? Big NO. I've eaten here twice, the first time I went I got the rice, beans, carne asada and pineapple juice. I was fine at first but got extremely bad food poisoning lasting about 12 hours. I went back a second time about 3 weeks later with my friends and got a chicken quesadilla and had the same reaction but lasting 24 hours. This place is terrible and I don't recommend it.
