Broadway Bean and Bagel 1701 S Broadway, Minot, ND 58701 April 10, 2021 Saturday - 9:30 AM for a drink and snack 2 Adults Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Getting out of the house for a little coffee treat. Atmosphere - Best place to park is behind the build.  This leads you naturally into the back door and into line to place your order.  The lighting is horrible, makes reading the menu board is difficult.  The menu board has a glossy surface and with the spot lights on the boards create sun burst.  So you are constantly moving around just to read sections of the menu.  The back room is a place I would love to have a mug of coffee and my bagel and just chill.  Instead beacuse of COVID we took our food to go and ate in the car. Food Drink- I went my standard, a large Mocha.  Temperature was a bit cooler than I would have liked, I could have jugged the drink immediately.  I want the heat level where I can only take a small sip without burning my mouth but still feeling the heat.  Flavor was on point, chocolate was not in your face tasting like a hot chocolate. Snack - A bagel of course, and I love cinnamon bagels.  We ordered two Cinna-Bagel with honey almond cream cheese, one for me and one for my wife.  I could have ate two of them.  So tasty, the cinnamon was at the right level Service - Our cashier was just there.  When they called my name I expected our drinks and bagels to be ready at the same time.  When I talked up, he was holding the bagels in a bag, and I asked about the drinks.  I felt like I asked horrible question as I did not see another employee walking them over to us. Future - Yes I would love to try a bagel sandwich.

I started with a walk down the street but the intentions was to walk to get a coffee and bagel until I reached Broadway Bean & Bagel. I noticed they had a drive-thru in the front and to have inside access you had to go through the back. I got inside and everything looked nice and comfortable, I looked at the menu and spoke with the associate and asked what was the most popular dish, she gave me choices and I chose the Denver Eggel, by the way, customer service is great. My Denver Eggel consisted of Everything bagel, eggs, cheddar cheese, red onion, green peppers and ham and seasoning. The coffee was served in a big mug so I got up a few times to get refills, this was a Mexican cinnamon type of drip coffee which was pleasant. This a nice experience to sit and relax or if on the go they have the drive-thru.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was delighted to get a delicious lox and cream cheese bagel, with capers, onion and tomato. It was perfect. I had the Irish Cream coffee and a nice quiet place to enjoy it. I love this place.

Delicious!! Super friendly staff and yummy food!! Love their frozen drink options! Can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu. Love that they have drive-thru for easy ordering and pick up. We're new to Minot and we're beginning to like it here a lot. It's growing on us for sure.

Honestly love this place, the low rating is for my experience the past few visits. Out of eggs and bagels, that's majority of your menu.

The Black Iguana is a coffee shop within a country-centennial vibey store. I really do like pistachios and the frappe flavor was something new for me. I'm all about getting out of my warm, secure, comfort zone and trying new foods, drinks, events...The barista was so friendly with a cute smile and also said the pistachio frappe was her favorite. And the frappe tasted how I imagined it would, delish!!! Recommend: Pistachio Frappe (I ordered mine with almond milk cause I lack toes but the pistachio powder is dairy based, FYI for the plant based).

Fun, funky & hidden in an art store. Need I say more?…read more Apparently, since I was told that wasn't long enough to post... I accidentally stumbled on the coffee counter when I went in to browse. This is something I don't usually do, so I knew it was meant to be. While I did try a latte that my husband bought, and was very good, it was the tea that caught my heart. The staff are attentive, we are half syrup people, otherwise it's simply too sweet for us. They were more than happy to adjust, which is awesome. I can't believe I've been driving by this place for years without knowing it was there. As long as you're in the Main St area, pop in a few stores, never know what you'll find!

We had a flaky pastry with cheese and egg - excellent and not too heavy! We also had their last caramel cream filled crumpet - also excellent and it is filled so plan how you eat it. Everything else looked so good, including their bakery bread, that I wanted one of each but was pretty sure that would not have worked traveling. The place was nothing special (yet) but it was clean and had cute tables and chairs as well as counter seating for when it gets busier. It also had parking around the building AND a drive through window (for those familiar with the bakery choices or just wanting a beverage). I was not in on the initial encounter with the counter person but my husband wasn't thrilled with the interaction. Not sure which side of the counter the breakdown occurred but it is true that she didn't smile or seem to want to be there and was a bit curt when asked to warm our egg pastry. The manager stepped in immediately to make sure our pastry was warmed in an oven for a minute. (They, THANKFULLY don't use microwaves which was fine by me.) It was perfect. If ever I'm in Minot, I'll make a point of coming here with a much bigger appetite!

You absolutely cannot show up an hour before close and expect a full case, or even that day's lunch offer, (which I never order anyway.) Personally, I love that for 2 reasons: less food waste & it motivates you to get there before they run out. With that out of the way, on to the "good stuff" & I do mean that both literally & figuratively. I'll note they are listed as French pastries, this is important, as it sets an expectation comparatively to, say, the local donut shop/ the other "bread (pastry) shop" - &, they are very different styles, indeed. Humble brag moment, International traveler here & I've had the pleasure of some amazing pastries. These guys do fit the French-style that they're boasting about. They made a solid almond croissant & have some tasty savory rotations, as well as sweet. Their crepes are my favorite eat-out breakfast item in town. They offer both sweet & savory options, another bonus, as I'm a savory gal. In short, i probably don't go here as often as I should
