Where they make the tortillas fresh!

Love taco heart! Everyone is very friendly and quick service even when they are always hoppin'! Very small spot, so prepare to eat out side or on the go. Fantastic veggie options, as a pescatarian I eat well here.

Easy 5/5. The best breakfast tacos I've had ever. We ordered carinnes fave, migas maximus, and chorizo. The migas Maximus was phenomenal. Somehow the fried tortilla inside stayed crispy the whole time. Tortillas are house made- flour was better than the corn but both were great. Brrrchata also delish. On the sweet side but the coffee mixed with horchata was an elite pairing. 100% coming back here AND bringing my friends.

Loved Taco Heart and will certainly come back. For the first trip we got the fajita shrimp taco.... The winner ... the short rib taco and the Corinne's favorite tacos and the queso. I think next time I come I will try all the fajitas tacos as the shrimp was just so well seasoned and amazing. The queso was good but for 15 bucks needed to be hotter and also would have needed way more people to eat it. We were visiting from out of town so was a pretty big waste for the serving size. Not a bad thing but something to know! They def give 15 bucks worth! Service was great, had someone come out and explain the menu and options to us. Enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the neighborhood. Very solid choice for tacos

Authentic Texas style tacos! Ordered 5 tacos between two people, and it was more than enough. The tacos aren't skimpy and the options are plentiful. I had: The Beca (Bacon, Egg, Chese & Avo) 4th street ( Egg, Bacon and Spinach) Migas Maximus (egg, sausage, migas, fresh jalapeño, queso, avocado) The Migas Maximus was by far my favorite! The tortilla chips in the taco are just a nice touch. The homemade corn tortillas truly do make the difference. Also don't forgot the salsa. If you like heat, try the Creamy Jalapeño!

I rarely go out for breakfast because it tends to be so overpriced for something that I can make at home but Taco Heart will always be an exception. It's reasonably priced but very high quality. The eggs are cooked perfectly (as someone who often gets the ick from eggs) and I'm obsessed with the breakfast sausage. The green tomatillo salsa is so fresh and light. Service is relatively quick, perfect spot for an easy breakfast.

Ordered on DoorDash. So many delicious options and would love to try more. Packaged with care. Fun coffee drinks like the Brrrchata I would love to try.

Our 1st Visit to We were greeted by Deonna (not sure how to spell her name). She is dope!!She went over the menu with us in detail and gave us her recommendations. I chose 1 Troubadour and 1 Carinne's Fave. My boyfriend ate make your own tacos. We loved them and the sauces are all fresh and flavorable. The music is on point from Vicente Fernandez to Lauryn Hill.

The only place on my list that I NEEDED to revisit when I came back to Philly was Taco Heart. Despite the 19 degree morning, I made my way over to grab some breakfast tacos. I ordered one Nano's Fave and one Migas on flour. I preferred the Nano's and might even get 2 of those next time. I thought the broccoli was actually perfect in the taco and I was a little skeptical! Overall, these tacos are thick and 2 was plenty for me. They're delicious, and I really love coming here. I ordered on a kiosk and was able to watch someone making the tacos up front which was cool.

Started review 3/10/23 Loved all aspects of the experience. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner , who seemed to know many who walked in. He took our order of coffees and returned shortly, we then retired to the counter along the window with surprisingly comfortable stools. I don't recall any tables inside and on a warmer day (I am can see the ones outside would provide a great opportunity for people watching and conversation. As I waited for my taco really enjoyed watching them prepared. See video! We were able to get the steak tips, a special treat Update 3/16/25 Well, it's two years later (almost to the day) and am treating myself as head from Headhouse Square Market, up Fabric Street (4th) to the Italian Market on 9th. And a treat it was! It's a warm and humid March day with all tables full and all looks well at Taco Heart. The menu looks a tad different , I could be wrong, but they are still making tacos up front. Had yummy Carinne's Fave (refried beans, bacon , cheese & avocado), and a Barrchata (reminds me of horchata). Feeling really good and grabbed a bag of tortillas for home. Hoping to return more quickly going forward.

Heard about how great the breakfast tacos here were, but came a little too late and full, so we tried a different menu option! The Chorizo Queso with the Puffy Chips would have been ideal for us to take to go and munch on at home while watching a game, movie, etc. The chips are thick, crispy, and puffy (like the name suggests!), allowing more surface area and structural integrity to scoop more dip than your standard tortilla chips. By the way, there's also guacamole hidden in this dip!

Best place in America, greatest staff, owners, I came here every Sunday I lived in Philly and I miss it so dearly. Get the puffy chips, get the guac, preorder, try each salsa. Their green creamy one is unreal but I loved both their greens.

I was at a communal dinner recently in the upstairs room at Wilder when one of my dining mates mentioned they were from Texas. They were chatting about Austin delicacies and the magic of the breakfast taco came up, and that the only place they truly felt like they could have a taste of home in Philly was at Taco Heart. I quickly added it to my bookmarks after the entire table started raving, and had my first taste of Taco Heart over the weekend! The raves are warranted, people. If you're like me and maybe a bit skeptical: "it's a breakfast taco...it simply cannot be that special" I am happy to report that it is the MOST special. A few pro tips to make your experience great: 1) Order ahead. They have a really easy ordering system inside, but it gets BUSY on weekends, so your best bet is to have your order waiting for you upon arrival. I will say, the staff here does and amazing job explaining menu items and what to expect, so the "in-person" experience is also worthwhile if you have the time. 2) Two tacos is 100% a full meal. 3) Don't skip any of the salsas! They are out at the table and all SO good - great heat and great flavor. 4) Flour tortilla is a MUST. I am sure the other options are great too, but the made in house tortillas is arguably what makes these tacos so special. Other than that, you can't go wrong with any taco on the menu. The Migas was my favorite. The tacos are perfectly proportioned, ideal hangover food, and reasonably priced. This is a can't-miss dining experience and really the only place doing it at this caliber. Dreaming of my next stop at Taco Heart!

First, we're kind of on an enmolada (chicken mole enchiladas) kick, and have been slowly touring the city ordering it everywhere it's available. We love what we've gotten so far, but most mole sauces have been more on the raisin/chocolate/coffee/lightly sweet side of the spectrum. Taqueria Morales' enmoladas were nutty and complex up front, with a lingering taste of delicious smoke and heat afterward. No joke, it was like the mole equivalent of a nice cognac. Would absolutely come just for this. Myself? I was hankering for al pastor and heard and seen that Taqueria Morales is solid on the al pastor front. Well, I heard and seen rightly, because the meat was well marinated and had an excellent balance of sourness and floral spice in the mix, and came out on what I can only assume are house-made tortillas with a side of radishes and nopales (cactus). Every bite was perfect, and that was before I added on some of the green and red salsas that our chips and guac came with. Finally, the staff was bomb. The lady taking our orders and serving us was super nice and attentive, and the kitchen was FAST. Couldn't have been more than 7 minutes from placing our order and sitting down to getting it out in front of us. It was so good I almost wished we stopped back after the backbreaker of a game to get some comfort tacos. Don't miss this place!

I thought they were going to be one of our local gems. I choked down a half a taco, gave the rest to my husband and he couldn't eat them either. The churros actually had raw batter in the middle and the outside was rubbery and hard at the same time. You could barely bite through it. I'm a cook and I know that that is about keeping the oil at an even temperature to get the inside done and not overcook the outside. Someone in the kitchen did not know what they were doing. They have a great Taco Tuesday deal with $1 tacos, offering carnitas and chicken tacos as part of the special. The carnitas tacos were seasoned perfectly -- 8/10. The only thing that would elevate them even more would be adding pico. The chicken tacos were a 4/10 unfortunately. They lacked flavor and tasted like plain boiled chicken placed on a tortilla, which was disappointing. We also ordered the Tres Salsa and chips. Out of the three salsas, the green and red were the standouts and packed the most flavor. For drinks, we ordered margaritas on the rocks ($5, plus $2 additional for flavor). I tried mango and passion fruit -- the mango tasted more like orange juice, while the passion fruit maintained its flavor much better. If you're looking for a family-friendly indoor/outdoor spot, this is a great option. I noticed a good mix of couples and singles, which made for a nice atmosphere. Bar seating is limited at night, and outdoor seating closes around 7:00 PM. Overall, for Taco Tuesday, I'd give it a 7/10 -- great atmosphere and deals, but food consistency could use some work.
